Chapter Sixteen

I went back to class and the day started. I was so worried throughout the first period and Ms Louw was too, she just decided to give us something to read instead of teaching. She's look at me on e in a while... I hated how this was affecting her too

Me not having anywhere else to go was my problem, not hers. But I figured she really cared.

The bell rang and we all gathered our staff.

"Are you okay? What happened?" Susan asked the moment we got out.

"I'm fine Susan, It's just that Sandra is mad that I f****d her crush at her party that last Friday.. now she's f*****g with me."

I left my last class and made my way to my locker.

"Can you umh come to my office after practice."

"I still have to figure out where to.."

That was like music in my ears.

I smiled, "thank you Vee.. that means so much.."

"Yes ma'am.. I mean Ms Louw.." I said and ran to the field. Right now my mood was a bit better. She said she'll help and that was all that mattered. "Hey guys... we have a match next week Friday with OLX public school... then we will concentrate on the Girls Soccer Tournament after that.." coach said and they all seemed excited.

"We are so winning there..." Anna said and everyone cheered.

"Are they that weak?" I asked and they all started talking at the same time telling me they've always won against them.. It was great for once seeing them with so much confidence.

"Okay... gear up... Can I have Sandra this side and Lin this side..." coach said and Sandra and I got up.

Coach made us pick people and Sandra started. I was left with everyone who sits on the bench during matches and Zanele and Lucia..

I smiled, so she took all those.

"Okay.. impress me guys.."

I went to my team and smiled, "you guys know me right.. I am not a loser..."

"But do you see them? She literally picked everyone who..."

"Isn't you. You guys are here for a reason right.. so let's kick her ass... we will play 5-4-1.. I expect you two to be on Anna and you two on Sandra.. don't even give her a chance.. Me, Zanele and Lucia will make sure they regret being on that team okay.." I said and turned to our goalkeeper, "babe... never and I mean never allow even a tiny ball to go through there okay.. always keep your eyes on the ball..."

They nodded.

I smiled, they will not know what hit them.

"6-0... and an injury... Sandra.. what happened?" Coach asked and Sandra just sighed, "nothing coach.."

Coach shook her head, "everyday you are giving me reason to reconsider you as captain. Anna will have to take over and we will pick a new vice captain. Whatever is happening in your mind is taking you away from the game.."

Sandra looked at me, "It's nothing I can't handle. I'm fine coach..."

"You better be fine.. you just got beaten 6-0 during practice and you have a team that plays on everyday matches... I'm disappointed.. very..."

I was laughing inside. Everyone here was capable of playing soccer. They just needed a fair chance and someone who believes in then. They were cocky thinking we will lose coz the girls aren't used to playing. But we showed them flames.. Karabo, Lucia and Queen scored amazing goals and I scored three..

"I'll see you guys tomorrow... prepare for penalties.. we need to know how to kick them.."

I laughed and followed the rest to the lockers to get our bags, "God, thank you for giving me a chance to score.." Karabo said looking at me and I shrugged, "you guys play pretty well, I'm surprised you're on the bench.. but hey it's not my team."

"Thank you Lin... for giving us that chance." Queen joined in and I shrugged, "It's no big deal you guys.. just keep on playing and practice for tomorrow.."

"I bet you won't even practice.. you're life perfect.." Lucia said and I shook my head laughing, "I can't kick penalties.. I tried and failed. Those ain't for me. I'm good in the field.

We reached the lockers and took out bags.

"I need something inside.. I'll see you tomorrow guys.." I said and ran to the bathroom by my class. I needed to make sure that no one sees me even one bit so that I can go to Val.. I mean Vee.

After a good 15 minutes I washed my hands and headed upstairs to my teacher's office.

I knocked and there was no answer, I knocked again and the door opened revealing Ms Louw coming out with her back pack.

"Done?" She asked and I nodded, "yes ma'am.."

She gave me that look and I smiled, "I mean Ms Louw.."

We went out and got to her car. She started driving immediately. It was silent for a bit until my phone vibrated. A message from Jasmine.. wow.. finally..
