*** The next morning, I woke up to the sound of distant thunder rumbling through the town. I glanced out the window and saw storm clouds gathering, casting an ominous shadow over Crestfall. The air felt heavy, thick with impending rain. Something didn't feel right. I could feel it in my gut. But maybe that was just me being paranoid.
