CHAPTER 4 – In Manhattan

Elena’s POV

I feel that my back hit on a comfortable something. What happened to me? I was in an auction to be sold as a slave to a master. I was the last one to be sold, but suddenly there were roaring sounds. Yes, I remember now, as the last picture I saw before was, a big black wolf was looking at me. With that thought, I woke up to find that I am in a huge cozy room. Where am I?

My nostrils hit the scent of the brewing of fresh tea leaves. It’s the scent I felt, it’s the scent Lily felt in the auction. I feel Lily is happily running here and there from my inside.

“What is it, Lily? You are so happy today, I have never seen you are this much happy” I mind-linked at her.

“Because…..” before she say something someone knocked on the door.

“May I come in ma’am?” a lady was speaking from the other side of the door. Is she talking to me? Being so formal is not something I used.

“W..who are you? You may come in” I gathered myself with the comfortable duvet. That is the time I saw that my clothes has changed into a comfortable nightdress. I was looking at the nightdress. It was a silky dark blue one with laces. At the Redmoon pack, I had only two sets of nightclothes and that too had a lot of wholes.

“Ma’am, how are you feeling now? Are you hungry? The breakfast is ready. Within few minutes a steward will bring the breakfast to the room” I came out from the train of thought with the voice of the lady. She is a mature middle-aged lady. She must be in her mid-fifties. She is wearing a maid's suit in black and white and looking at me with a smile.

“W…where a..am I?” I ask with my lower voice. She came near the bed.

“You are in Manhatten. You are a wolf too right? Don’t worry, you are safe. You are in Alpha’s mansion” when I hear the word Alpha, the torturing and abuse I had to face started to imagine in front of my eyes. My heart started to beat faster.

Is he my new master? Did he bring me here to torture me? I have to go from here.

I determined.

“Wh…what is your name?” I ask removing my duvet which was covering my body. I stood up from the bed, but I couldn’t walk. Every inch of my body is aching.

“I am Sophia, and you should stay in the bed young lady. Alpha strictly instructed us to care for you and do not allow you to get down from the bed. If you stubbornly stand up and wait like this, I am sure that Alpha will not treat us well” she said with a smile. I don’t want to see others getting punishments because of me.

“Why am I here?” I ask sitting on the bed back.

“That only Alpha knows. He never brought a woman here or any she-wolf. I am not in a position to question him. I am an omega” Sophia said with a smile. She always maintains a healthy smile on her face.

“Please don’t call me ma’am. I am also an omega of a pack. I am Elena, call me by my name Sophia” I said.

“I can’t treat like that to a guest of Alpha. I am sorry Ma’am” she said.

“At least you can call me by my name when your Alpha is not present. I need to change, do you have any clothes here?” I ask.

“You seem like a little stubborn wolf Elena. I brought you a dress, Elena. Alpha will bring you new clothes for you, but at the moment prepare yourself with this and get ready for breakfast” she forwarded me a yellow chiffon dress with frilled arms. I took the dress and stood up from the bed.

A painful whimper escape from my mouth.

“I will help you Elena” Sophia came to me and held me from my arm to go for the bathroom.

I entered the bathroom to find that this is not second to the bedroom. The huge and cozy bathroom. I don’t understand that why does the Alpha needs such a huge bathroom? I feel pity to wet the floor because the bathroom was that clean and tidy. The aroma gave me a soothing feeling. A huge marble jacuzzi in the middle of the bathroom enhanced its elegant look.  Everything was neatly placed. Towels, toothbrushes, tooth pasts, shampoos, body wash, shower gel, body sprays everything was there.

I took a shampoo bottle and check the smell. I have never applied any of these, but I have seen that the Brutal pack members are using shampoos like these. These are must be expensive luxury brands. The luxurious screams from everywhere in this mansion. If the bathroom is looking this much deluxe, how will look like the entire mansion?

“Ma’am, do you need any help to operate the bathroom?” I heard the voice of Sophia.

“Ummm, I think I can manage” I raised my voice. I have seen the bathroom of Alpha of the Redmoon pack when I was cleaning his bathroom.

I removed my clothes and turn on the hot water shower. As soon as the hot water touch my skin I hissed in pain. I whimpered when all the bruises and wounds started to cover with hot water. Soon the pain turned into a soothing feeling after few times. I saw the water falling from my body turned into a light brown, maybe it’s because of the water mixing with dust and dried blood. I want to have a bath to clean both my body and soul.

After finishing the bath I dried my body gently. The white towel soon turned into a brown mix red because of my wounds. Fear started to run in my blood.

Will the Alpha get angry because of this? Will, he hit me? will he torture me?

With my shaking hands, I got dressed in the yellow dress and came out. My hair is still wet. This was the best bath I’ve ever had. Otherwise in the packhouse, they didn’t allow us to have a proper bath. We were supposed to bathe in the water fountain located at the back of the packhouse at night after fulfilling all the duties for the day.

“You are looking pretty, Elena. Come and have your breakfast now” Sophia said with a smile. The aroma of the food started to drill in my nose and soon my tummy growled. Sophia giggled at that.

“Sorry,” I said in an apological tone.

“That’s all right Elena. It happens to every one of us. Especially when you are a wolf, you need a lot of food to eat to maintain the strength of your body” with the words I started to compare the food I got at the packhouse. we had only one meal, that’s also the leftovers of others.

Sophia brought the food trey closer to me. She opens the lid of the food plates. My mouth soon started to fill with saliva when I see the delicious and colorful food on the plates. It had many varieties of foods. Omelets, sausages, croissants, bread, and bun with butter and jam, fresh cur fruits on a separate plate, fresh juice, and a glass of milk.

How would I eat this much food?

“Don’t worry, you just only need to start it” Lily said from my inside.

I’ve never tasted these foods. I wanted to first taste a croissant. I took a one and swallowed it as a whole into my mouth. It’s too large, but because of the taste, I don’t want to take it out.

“Easy Elena, if Alpha sees the way you are eating, it won’t bring a pleasant feeling for him,” Sophia said. I felt ashamed of myself for my behavior.

“I am sorry, I’ve never tasted these foods,” I said with my mouthful of croissants.

“What do you mean by that?” Sophia asks with a questioning look.

“I mean, I’ve never had this food before Sohpia. We were supposed to work for the entire day and we got only one meal per day. The dinner and that is also the leftovers of the others” I briefed Sophia.

“How on earth could someone treat their pack members?” Sophia's tone turned into a sad mix anger one.

“They are not my pack members Sophia” I sighed.

“What do you mean by that?” she asked.

“It’s a long story, Sophia, I will brief you later. I don’t know how to have food properly because to learn it we’ve never had a proper meal” I said drinking the juice. Sophia’s face turned into a miserable look.

“I will teach you Elena” she took the fork and knife and started to teach me how to use them.

“Wove you are a quick learner Elena. You will practice it when you start to use it every day” Sohpia said looking at me.

“But your Alpha is my slave master right? I am his slave. Maybe he is giving this food to me only for today” I said with a sad tone.

“Slave? Elena, he didn’t buy you according to my knowledge, but I don’t know why he brought you here. Alpha never brought a female to his mansion before, I am sure that you are special to him, so don’t worry, you will get a proper meal every day Elena” Sophia said.

“If you are finished Elena, we can have a look around the mansion. I am sure that you would love to look around the mansion and the beautiful garden” Sophi said. I feel that I don’t want to stay inside caging the room.

“I would love to Sophia, but is your Alpha here? I am afraid of him” I said.

“He is here, but he is meeting Elena. Don’t worry, he won’t say anything to me” Sophia said. I drank the whole glass of milk. When I see at the plates, I have had them all.

“See I told you, we can finish it” Lily giggled to me.

We came out from the bedroom. I think it was a guest room. The mansion's interiors were white and gold and lavishness are screaming from everywhere. The chandeliers hanging from the roof, the huge paintings, and the mirrors of the walls brought the feeling that I am in a castle. We passed many bedrooms in the corridor and from the wooden staircase, we got down to the ground floor. I was on the second floor. I think that floor has been allocated for guests only. The black suit bodyguards are everywhere. They are standing like statues.

Finally, we came out to the garden. The green lawn was neatly maintained and the fragrance of flowers drew me to them.

“This is so beautiful Sophia” I was mesmerized by the scenery in front of me. a white water fountain was there in front of the house. I saw how Gardners was cutting some extra tree branches.

The garden had different colors of flowers planted in different styles. Red flowers at aside and then yellow flowers and then the pink flowers, likewise according to the colors the flowers were planted. The fruits and vegetables were awesome to see.

“Sophia looks like you got a new friend,” one Gardner asks.

“She is a guest of Alphas” Sophia proudly said.

“Sorry ma’am, would you like to pick some fresh vegetables?” the Gardner asked politely.

“I would love to” he gave me glows and a basket to pluck them.

As soon as I went to pluck some tomatoes I heard a loud growl from my back. It shooked my entire body and I turned to see the most handsome man is standing few feet away from me. His Greek god look makes any woman go crazy for him. He should be the height of more than 6 feet. His white shirt tightly hugged his abs. His forearms were revealing from his rolled arms of the shirts. The bluish veins are popping out from his skin and our eyes met suddenly. His blue eyes and my green eyes.

His red eyes brought a horrible feeling to me.

Is he the Alpha? Is he angry with me?

Shit, it should be dirtying his bathroom, and the towel

With my thought, his ear-piercing voice shook my core.

“Sophia” he roared!
