I was so excited about us moving into the cottage soon, I completely forgot about the special gift I got for Jax. It wasn’t until Alana announced it was time for Jax to open his presents that I remembered, sending another wave of excitement coursing through me.
Jax opened all of his other presents first, saving mine for last, then he took his time pulling out the fancy tissues I added to hide the little jewelry box. As soon as he pulled out the last one, I watched his eyes narrow on the box, as his lips curved up to form a wider smile.
After pulling the box out of the bag, Jax lifted the lid off and immediately breathed out, “I love it, Shiloh! Thank you!”
