Chapter Four - Nothing Lasts Forever The moment Frank left, Myles let Danger go and stepped away. "Let me attend to him, I'll be back soon. Stay right here, Sugar," Myles told her but she quickly jumped off the counter. "There's no way I'm staying here, Myles. He's like a father to me and I'm so dead if I don't leave." She buttoned the shirt again, looking around. "Why are you dead?" "He's the one who brought me from the orphanage. I can't lose face, Myles." "What are you saying? That you'll lose face because he saw you here?" Myles furrowed his eyebrows at her. She walked to the bedroom and started looking for her clothes, he followed her. "He didn't just see us doing anything but kissing and cuddling and I'm even in your shirt..." She said breathlessly as she ran her fingers through her messy black hair. She looked so damn sexy doing that and Myles wanted to f**k her all over again but they had a situation. He cursed silently. "He won't do anything like that... The way you live your life is none of his business." "You don't know anything, Myles. And please don't keep him waiting. Go out there." "If you promise you won't leave, then I'll go out there to see him. If you don't... " "I will, I'll wait here," She assured him and Myles grabbed another tee shirt and walked out of his suite. Frank was still standing there. "I brought you the papers so you can sign them," He said politely and handed him the paper, adding a pen. Myles signed all of them and gave them back to him. "Do you know Danger?" He couldn't help but ask Frank. "Danger?" "Yes. The lady who was with me a few minutes ago. What's your relationship with her?" "I helped her some time ago, sir." "You sure? She panicked when she saw you. What's that?" Frank chuckled and shook his head. "Sir, believe me. That's the truth. It's just that she's scared I'll get mouthy. It's not my business what she does with her life," He said calmly. "I'm glad you know that." "But sir, please take care of that girl. She's adorable." He patted him on the shoulder and left. Myles grinned and went inside. He didn't get the reason why Danger was overreacting. "You are overreacting, Danger," Myles said in a baritone when he found her going circles in the room. She was so cute that he felt the need to protect her forever. "What did he say?" "He said nothing. And if Frank is like a father, let me take over. I'll provide you everything. You just be my mistress and expect prosperity," Myles boasted with a grin as he walked over to her. "How are you going to do that?" "You don't know who you f****d last night, do you? Don't worry about your future, Danger." Myles gave her a peck on her lips and drank some juice. She still looked sad. "There's still something?" Myles asked her but she shook her head. Diana was confused about the guy she just gave herself to yesterday. He scared her to the core. How rich was he? What if he was a Mafia? A drug lord or worse, a serial killer? Why so much money? She joined Myles on the dining table and they ate but her phone kept ringing but she never picked up. It was a small Samsung phone. "Who's calling?" "Ignore it," She cut him off, taking the finished breakfast to the kitchen. She looked a little mad. She knew that sooner or later she had to answer the call but she wanted to choose later. Myles followed her to the kitchen, sneaking to stand behind her as she washed the dishes. "Since I'm taking the day off, Danger. Let's do something productive," He whispered seductively, pulling her hands from the sink and swaying his hips lightly. She froze but said nothing. Myles started kissing down her neck and up to her earlobe and she arched her back, giving out a moan. "Agree to be mine, Danger. You won't have to worry about succeeding or getting into a job." Myles whispered huskily as he nibbled on her neck, speaking in between the action. ".... you can be whatever you want to be... " She turned, making him pin her down. She looked up at him, into his piercing blue eyes. He was so handsome and Danger wanted to stay in his arms forever but she couldn't. She had a life outside this suite. "Please, Myles, please stop this... touchy caring thing... " She breathed. "Why? What am I making you feel?" "You are making it difficult to leave, Winchell," She warned, her heart beating fast. "Then don't, Danger. Stay with me," Myles told her, his forehead resting against hers. They stared at each other for a while before he closed the gap and kissed her. She was dangerous and he liked it. She was like a puzzle and he wanted to complete it but in other to do that he needed to keep her close to him. "Let's take a walk around your house. I think I saw a swimming pool down there." Danger tried to change the subject. Myles nodded and went downstairs to the poolside with Diana. He was fascinated by the way she walked around, admiring almost every piece of artifact in his house. "I wish I could live in a place like this forever," She said breathlessly. Myles placed his thumb on the locker and the glass door to the swimming pool area opened. It was a beautifully enclosed area in his house, somewhere he liked to keep private. But somehow he was happy and unbothered that Danger wanted to see the place and he wasn't regretting bringing her here. He didn't care if she was a stranger or not. "Wow," She gasped as the upper covering of the swimming pool opened and the clear water was now showing. Danger walked along the swimming pool, still admiring the place and Myles stood at a distance and watched her. His hands were in his pocket and he also admired the beautifully dangerous girl in his swimming area. She refused to talk about herself and Myles really wanted to know why she was sent but he didn't want to scare her. He had already forgotten about that incident and was hell-bent on moving on but keeping this cutie with him at all times. "Aren't you bored living here all alone?" Danger asked, turning to face Myles as she spread her hands in the air. "It is that's why I don't want you to leave." Myles shrugged, keeping his gaze on her. Danger turned to the water and dipped her left toe inside. "Do you swim?" "No. You go ahead and swim, I'll watch," Myles retorted, taking a seat on the lounger. "You're a boring guy," She pouted. Then suddenly, she lost balance and fell inside with a scream. Myles stood up abruptly when he saw her wriggling in the pool. "She doesn't know how to swim, damn it!' Myles ran and threw himself into the pool and pulled her up for breath. Danger gasped for breath. "Danger? Danger? Are you alright?" Myles asked in a panicky tone and Danger couldn't resist the urge anymore. She broke into laughter. Myles realized it was a prank to get him inside the pool. He suddenly let her go and swam to the stairs. "You are crazy. You almost gave me a heart attack, Danger," He snorted and she continued to laugh. "You wouldn't swim with me that's why," She pouted, swimming around. Myles got out and took off his shirt and pants leaving him in his boxers and wiped himself dry. Goodness, where did he get such a girl from? "So are you a serial killer?" Danger asked, still swimming slowly. She loved being inside the water. "Why are you asking that?" "You are filthy rich only serial killers and those who do bad things are this rich." Myles laughed at that idea. "I'm a businessman." Myles shrugged. "What type of business? Drug peddlers are also businessmen, Myles Winchell." Myles chuckled at that. She was smart. "I deal with automobiles and other machines." He explained. "Other machines like guns and... " "Are you scared of a drug dealer? Has any of them hurt you before?" Myles couldn't help but ask and how Danger flinched, answered his question. She looked away and continued to swim. Danger swam for a while and came out and wiped herself dry. She suddenly felt Myles behind her. She froze for a while. "Let's do something productive, Danger," He whispered again, turning her over to face him. Danger smiled, wrapped her arms around his waist and kissed him passionately. Myles picked her up as she wrapped her legs around his waist and took her to his bedroom, slowly placing her on the bed and getting on with it. Night Fall 1:00 am Myles awoke and smiled, stretching. His hands reached to touch her when to his utmost disbelieve he found the other side of the bed empty. He quickly sat up and looked around, rubbing his eyes to be sure they weren't deceiving him. But she wasn't there. His legs swung off the bed, he grabbed his boxers flinging them on. He checked the bathroom but she wasn't there. "Danger? Danger?" He called but there was no answer. He strode to check the kitchen but she wasn't there. His heart started beating fast. Did she leave? Why? Why would she leave? Danger? Or she had gone out to get something? Something posted on the refrigerator caught his attention. He walked over to the refrigerator and read the note Myles, I'm sorry I have to leave this way but I had to. The situation demanded it. I can't explain because you'll never understand. But please take care and I hope you find someone who'll be your mistress and make you happy and think about marriage. Bye, Danger *******
