A drive at the centre of the city.

Bravyn Damien just stared at me like I was some beautiful flower that refreshed his mind. I debated asking him to at least speak, but I ultimately decided against it. Let him stare. Ultimately, glares are harmless. A big plate of food was brought, and I was eager to check on the varieties. I could see it was all organic, with some traditional tubers and a mix of all kinds of grilled meat. "Is this your special platter? We should introduce it in Utopia. It can fetch a lot of cash. It's a healthy meal!" I said. I was trying to start a conversation. "A beautiful lady like you doesn't need to be fed junk; I give you healthy food, and you give me healthy babies!" Bravyn said this and curled his lips up into a smile, appearing excited. "Babies, from whom? I've got a baby already, and why are you taking ten steps at once?" I asked, angry. Even before I had the chance to tell him why I do not want a man in my life, he was talking about having children. "Let's eat, darling. Oh, sorry, Shelby! Forget about my fantasies for now," he said, shifting his chair to get close to the table. "That was a very nice, expensive, cheap joke. You got me in that one!" I said. He was enjoying himself; every moment since I met him in his bush airplane runaway, he had been curling those lips, and I quite felt like the same ready-grilled meat waiting to be eaten. "What's expensive and cheap at the same time? You amuse me, dear!" He said he was checking me out with eyes full of emotions. "If you're through with your meal, let's visit the Ivy's hotel in Play City!" He gripped my elbow firmly and led me outside to where his car was parked. A young boy stood by it, guarding it, or rather admiring it, and dreaming of buying such a car when he grows up. Bravyn passed him some cash, and he accepted it unobtrusively, his eyes still stuck on the Lambo! "Thank you, sir, the teenager said. "That's some sweet, mean machine you got there!" "Yes, but it's hard to drive in Play City; you know all the women who would rather walk in the middle of the road; it's devastating!" Bravyn said, like he was preparing me for what I was about to witness. "That's why they call it the sin city!" The teenager said nothing and disappeared. "Till next time, my boy!" He said he was helping me. His fingers brushed against my skin for an instant, and I prayed to God that he wouldn't hear the involuntary catch of my breath. I settled into my seat, and the feathery soft caress from the Lamborghini upholstery comforted my already tired bones. Then he said!"A car like this one is meant to be driven very fast, especially this one, because I have just modified its engine.". "The hell!" "You heard me!" He said, starting the engine, and it made a soft roaring sound. "I do not know anything about cars or engines and how they are modified!" I said, shrugging my shoulders. " Really? You have never seen a Lamborghini race, right? he questioned. "I was not born with loyalty or legacies; I have no silver linings on my plate. Struggling is the only language I understand!" Just in case he lost faith in me, I remarked, demonstrating my destitution. He pointed out and grinned once more, "Our children will be the product of loyalties and legacies". " Has your life ever been smooth throughout, or have you ever experienced suffering? I asked. "When we are on the road traveling at 140 km/h, you want to hear about me, right? Why not check out the best parts of the Play City?"" he said, giving me a wry look as I sank into my chair. Although I could feel rather than see his slight shrug as he said, "I wish we had something in common, the love of beautiful machinery and the taking of risks," he did not look at me and instead focused on the traffic. We could have connected faster that way!" "You will get along well with someone of your type if you do not take risks, but that is where you draw the line," I raised my eyes to him,and said. "Do you drive Shelby?" I was left wondering how he was able to ask while ignoring my response. Picking what he wants and discarding what he doesn't want without anger. "Yes, I used to drive big cars, but obviously not a Lamborghini," I replied with a smile. He had called my name almost reluctantly, as if it were precious or sounded silly and frivolous on his tongue. He said that and shrugged,"Do you envision yourself behind the wheels once more, based on your plans for tomorrow? Bravyn asked," A bigger Lambo than this one!,,May be!". He had a clear voice, which made me a little tense. I thought he was probably playing some cat-and-mouse game with me. But, as I had sworn to remain unaffected and courageous, I tried my best to be casual. " Of course, not everyone has dreams, but I believe I will be satisfied with a Mercedes Benz, one of the newest models available," Just saying that name made me grin, and I felt like there might be some improvement in my future. "And if I may ask without appearing to pry, what of your other dreams? I'm sure a beautiful young woman like yourself will have no difficulty getting anything that you desire!" Bravyn said it without shame or fear of contradiction. "Why do you have that mentality that a woman like me must have everything that she desires? Why am I even working in your hotel with such meager pay if I can afford anything better?" I asked, feeling irritated and mad that I couldn't raise my voice, and neither could I get angry.I was limited. "Do you know how sweet and beautiful you are? I cannot refuse you; why should other men resist you?" Bravyn said. "I think you are now prying, and it's making me uncomfortable, Sir!" I said, my facial expressions plain, that I needed those waters he was trying to step on and ripple them to remain still and undisturbed. "I'm sorry. I want you to enjoy my invitation. Stay happy with me, not uncomfortable!" Bravyn commented, "So what about your dreams?" I was flabbergasted that this man, who was roaring like a lion, is now humbling himself and becoming remorseful. He just said sorry. "Well, I try to think positively, hoping it's going to get better some day!" I said, hoping he would drop the subject, and realize that the road he was taking was not where I wanted to go. It was like a trap,I couldn't get into it willingly. "And you still feel I am not the right person to make it better?" He asked, and then I saw him glance briefly at me before he turned his attention to his driving and traffic. I never answered that; I had discerned that trap before he asked it, but I was extremely scared when he asked it very plainly and expected a straight answer. The way he gave me that look chilled my spine and got my tongue tied. "Why are you quiet? Is my question too hard to answer? I think it's very simple, just a yes or no!" He slowed down. We had entered Sun City. "No,,,!" I said and looked out of the window. I stared at two women walking bare-chested and some men ogling at their full breasts. "How do you live in such a city? How do men cope with this level of nudity?" I asked ,the image that was before me , led me to close my eyes. "We got used to it, and it's not like they are on the streets daily; the government regulates how they walk around; they have their own movement!" Bravyn explained. "Where are the children?" We were traveling for almost a kilometer when I asked, but not a single child was in sight," This is a ticking time bomb that could explode at any moment. It's a place that is not safe for families or children. I can't even imagine raising a child in a place like this.It would be a crime to bring up a child surrounded by all this negativity and expose them to all kinds of illicit activities from a tender age!" " We have strict rules about preventing these images from coming from the kids; they are all at a certain center, and after the women are done, they go collect them and take them to their houses. "I could have wondered!" I said. I was eyeing him. Play City was a testament to the Sin City culture. It was a place that reflected everything that was wrong with the world. The buildings were fun, with weird pictures painted on their walls, and they stood out like sore thumbs. As we drove through the streets of the city, I couldn't help but feel disgusted by the environment I found myself in. I had heard a lot about it, but today I experienced all that I've ever heard and confirmed it was not a fake story but the truth. Women in the Streets of Play City were one of the things that bothered me the most; they walked comfortably in clothes that didn't leave anything to the imagination. Mini-skirts, tight tops, and revealing dresses seemed like their norms. It was as if they were trying to outdo each other in a competition to see who could show the most skin. "As a young woman, I am ashamed that the women of this town have no dignity for themselves," I told Bravyn, who was now more careful with his driving since the roads were crowded. I thought about our city, Utopia; if these women ever found themselves there, they would be disapproved of within their community and risk being social outcasts. I think the attitude here was that looking good meant exposing yourself to the world around you. "That's why hotel businesses thrive here; people come here from all over the world just to see this lifestyle!" Bravyn replied after being quiet for some time. " I didn't care if I was nagging or not, or maybe I didn't treat him with the same respect people here treated him with, for every now and then, I saw people bowing to him and others saluting when they saw his car. It was clear they knew whose Lamborghini dared brave their bad streets and roads. "Anything that's bad in this world thrives here!" I said. I was disappointed. "Stop giving me that look. Everybody knows that this place is a breeding ground for all kinds of vices. Drug use and alcoholism are rampant here. They say that when you walk through the alley, the smell of m*******a and other drugs fills the air, and one can barely walk a few meters without meeting dealers lurking in the corners of the Earth!". "Why are you lamenting?" He burst at me, "We are passing through the city, and we are getting to another space!" His face was a pool of anger; his eyes sparked like I had touched his most trusted space; he snorted, and probably if I didn't mean anything to him, he would have thrown me out. "The better because I was getting nauseous seeing all that skin and breasts; it made me want to puke!" I screamed to add more pressure to his state. I pretended to draw a long breath, and I moaned, then relaxed on my seat when he threw me this gaze. " I would not mind if you stopped the drama, but see the pot calling the kettle black. Don't forget where you work and the kind of people you deal with." He sneered at me. I kept quiet for a moment.I had not meant for it to come out negatively; I was trying hard to hate the city so I could use it as a reason to go back home. Bravyn was not someone I hated, but I could not be his girlfriend. I was not okay with how my body kept responding to him; the hatred and anger that I felt before meeting him had disappeared, but other than my body giving me emotional blackmail, nothing would entice me into being in his life. "Are you sure I am anything close to this?" I removed my hand through the window and pointed around, not to him; he was trying to silence me. "Look at these people; the value of morality is completely lost in the city, and one of the things that disgusts me the most is the fact that the atmosphere seemed to be saying that anything goes. It is as if there is no right or wrong in the community. Every type of debauchery is celebrated in the City without a second thought!" I told him. "The more I want you in my life, the more I like the way you reason. As of now, I think you are the genius of all these women; even if you try to talk to them now, they will not see sense in what you are trying to tell me. Do not let what you're saying get into your heart; as I told you before, you are here to enjoy and get comfortable!" He told me this time that his voice was soft and husky, and it heated my brain differently. He really had many faces. "I cannot stay here for long; seeing these people, I can't help but feel a sense of sadness inside myself. Play City has become so depraved and permissive that people are no longer aware of the consequences of their actions. The lack of morality and disregard for human dignity are appalling. Please, if it's possible, I want to be back by tomorrow!" I continued pressuring him. I wanted him to break up, to be angry, and to turn around and send me home. But that was not happening; he had already seen through me and my intentions. So he just clicked, nodded, and continued driving. We entered a different part of the city; nice houses, scarce streets, flowers, even fresh air, and a few big hotels were scattered all over. And I felt like Sin City was a tourist attraction center with all kinds of evil that you needed to see for yourself, and later you came back to a serene environment to relax. Bravyn kept stealing glances at me; he never said anything, but I could see his mouth curl up again into that mockery smile. "Open the windows and enjoy the fresh air and the scenery, darling, hoping this will replace that disgusting feeling that you couldn't stop bickering about!" With pride he said. I was dumbfounded. I just closed my eyes and allowed my brain to be cleansed of all the images that had become lodged there because I had never imagined such a place to exist in Play City. " So is this the main office, or what? This branch had a shore somewhere, and I could hear the crashing of the waves, in contrast to where I worked, which would only be termed as still a baby. I opened my eyes and read, "Ivy's Hotels, Play City." For maximum enjoyment, relaxation, wine, and dining, we've got you! is written at the entrance on a big black wall in large red letters. "Welcome to your future home!" Bravyn said, helping me out of the Lambo. I stood still. The place I was standing in was just heavenly beautiful.
