Chapter 27 The power kept flowing into me, wave after wave. It was like being out too long in the sun and taking gulp after gulp of ice cold water. It sloshed uncomfortably in my belly, but I just couldn't slake my thirst. I needed more. Finally it was like the house pushed me away and I was thrown back onto my heels, finally able to sit up. I opened my eyes. The world around me was all dancing, glittering silver. What I had seen when I had passed through the portal had only been the faintest hint of what I was seeing now.
