Alpha Darwin’s POV
The pain I saw in her eyes was something I had never seen in my life. It felt like I had said the most heartbreaking words to her. For a moment, I stood there as I watched her fall back to the bench, her eyes glittering with tears. Unable to behold such a sight, I decided to walk away.
As I walked out of the hospital, I went over to a bench and took a seat. Slowly, I took a long breath as I tried to calm my mind. I was going insane, and it seemed I would lose it at any moment. For the past few hours, I haven’t been myself. Seeing Darin in such a state was taking a toll on me. It felt like a part of me was damaged, and I was on the verge of breaking down, but I knew I couldn’t let that happen. I am an Alpha and need to be strong for my people.
