Chapter 16 For the next couple of weeks, Evan tried to pretend everything was going to be okay. He went to classes, did his homework, did his best to stay quiet at home and out of his father’s way. He walked to and from school with Anne, and neither of them spoke of her dreams or the medication he was sure she’d started taking.
