Hope's pov

“before the trial starts I have a question "said one of the elders “why was is it never known that your daughter is half dragon" a few heads where nodding in agreement

“my daughter is more human than dragon she even smells like a human, it's a well known fact that dragons are next to extinction because it was not only humans who hunted them even other supernaturals did as they were scared of the powers they hold. I did not want to put Hope in danger of being hunted when she can not even protect herself not only is she human she is just a child and I wanted to have enough information before I said it to anyone else " my dad alpha Gray spoke. Even though Luna Summer and Alpha Grayson were not my real parents they love me like their own and in the year that I had lived with them they had shown me love any parents would their child, they might travel a lot but they made up for it whenever they were around even in their absence they made sure we were taken care of.

“I understand Alpha but when things get out like the way they did they bring unrest to the pack" said one of the elders again

“Alpha Gray has never done anything to harm the pack and it's people, everything he has done he did for everyone if he kept this a secret don't you think it was for a reason he told us and we all made the decision that we should keep quiet about it for now for the safety of his daughter and we were right after people found out she is half dragon a lot of people started saying bad things about her and a lot of pressure is being put on a child " Uncle Trevor said he was the pack's Gamma, I could see the heads of other elders go down in shame

“let's start the trial as you know the alpha and Luna just got back they have a lot of pack business to take care of" uncle Brian said “we will start by hearing Beth's side then hope and we will dicided how to go about this " he mentioned for Beth to tell her side of the story, I couldn't believe the lies and accusations that came from her mouth, my only friend hated me. After she spoke a lot of eyes held anger and I could see from her parent's eyes given the chance they would kill me when it was my turn I stuttered in the beginning as I was afraid, after my side of the story I could see confusion and also disbelief from others

“what I do not understand is how different these two stories are, Beth wants us to believe Hope attacked out of spite while Hope wants us to believe nothing happened there is one way I see we can solve this issue my wife will show us what happend " said uncle Brian. Aunt Vanessa is a witch but I didn't know she could do that, aunt Vanessa mentioned for us to come in middle of the office as the trial was being held in the alpha's office. Beth started crying and refusing to come saying “why would I lie I told you what the little outcast did, I made her my friend but she attacked me she even refused me playing with other kids and I did because I thought she was my friend but in the end she tried to kill me " she kept kicking and screaming up to a point where my dad had to do the one thing he hated the most using his alpha command on a child as soon as we in the middle of the room aunt Vanessa started chanting weird words I didn't understand and white smoke covered us and just like that we could see that day as clear as if we were all there we could see how we had played and swimmed, how I had fallen asleep but Beth hadn't, how her face turned from happy to hate, we saw her hurting herself with thorns and rocks, her going to report me saying I hurt her, when it all ended it was not only me crying my, mom was crying and so was Beth and her mom.

“I'm sorry for the way I treated Hope to be honest with you I was even thinking out ways of making her disappear, I didn't know my child could be this evil and heartless I'm sorry" cried Beth's mother

“why " was all I could say to Beth

“ when you came here you got to live with the alpha and Luna as their child you got to be closer to my Blue and you were just a stupid human but when you told me you were half dragon I saw my chance to get rid of you" before she could say more her mother gave her a hard slap “you are only ten and could be this evil what do you want to do with Blue huh you are not even old enough to be mates and who told you he's yours . Goddess what did I do to give birth to such an evil child " she cried, the only thing her father said was they will accept any punishment the alpha gives her and make sure it is carried out, she ended up with helping the older omegas with work for three weeks and in that time she made sure everyone knew I was the spoilt little dragon who made sure other people got punished for her mistakes and that made a lot of people like me less as what had been discussed in the trial was never made public people where just told that it was true I was a half dragon and Beth lied against me the only people who didn't believe this story were the kids of the people who knew the actual story. Olive and Faith kept coming to me at school breaks when I was alone or when people bullied me they would defend me that's how we became best friends
