“I enjoy the kiss that we both shared that day because, as you can see, he is so hot and I am at the phase where I really wanted to have a boyfriend so you can’t blame me for that,” patuloy na paliwanag ni Hariya matapos niyang ikwento ang unang pagkikita nila ni Kreyo.

He took care of me and gave me everything he had. And even though I keep offering my blood to him so that he will not lose control, he keeps declining.”

“And why is that?”

“According to him, naglayas siya sa kanila dahil hindi na niya kaya ang ginagawang pangbu-bully sa kanya ng mga kapatid at pinsan,” aniya. “Dito siya napadpad at mula noon ay iniwasan na niya ang muling makatikim ng dugo ng tao.”

“Eh?”

“Nakita mo naman siguro kung ano ang kaibahan ng itsura niya kumpara sa mga natural na bampira sa panahong ito, hindi ba?” tanong niya sa akin na tinanguan ko. “Higit silang nagmumukhang halimaw kapag umiinom sila ng dugo ng tao.”

“Ang buong akala ko ang dugo ng mga mortal ang dahilan kung bakit bumabata at gumaganda ang itsura ng isang bampira.”

Pero isang pagkakamali lang ang lahat ng iyon.

Napatingin ako sa kanya at halata sa kanyang mukha na mayroon siyang gustong itanong pero nagdadalawang-isip siya. “Just spill it, okay?”

Hindi naman mahina ang utak ko para hindi agad maintindihan ang ibig sabihin ng sinabi niyang iyon.

They both did their very best, not only for their child that they love the most, but also for restoring the order and peace of the place where they live so that they don’t have to worry about the life of their son.

They both did their best to also give their future generation a nice, peaceful and beautiful place where we can live our lives in its best.

Even if it means sacrificing the love that they have for each other.
