(LOUISE’S POV)

There was a knock on my door, just seconds after I screamed. It was from our butler, Oscar.

“Miss Louise , are you okay?” He called from outside.

“Yes I’m fine thank you Oscar. I’m fine.” I said. “I just saw a little spider. But I’ve killed it. Bye!”

I was watching the video for probably the hundredth time. And I could not believe that was me, I was talking like I was drunk and I was talking about my crush.

“I think he has such dreamy eyes, and he has such gorgeous hair.” I said dreamily in the video. “Oh I just wished you know how much I love you so much Ben Davis.”

I gasped and let the phone fall to the ground while my hands flew to my face and I covered it in Shame. I felt so sick that I thought I would throw up.

Someone had spread a video of me talking about how much I loved Ben Davis.

Ben who does not know I exist. Well I guess now he does and he will hate me forever only because of one person! That video of me was circulating already. I had a good idea who was behind all this. It

She and her friends had spiked my drink yesterday, that must have been why I started feeling that way. They had been drinking some beer and offered me some.

I definitely did not look forward to going to school now.

I went to the bathroom and had a shower and there on my sweatpants and hoodie. Yes, well don’t say it.

ot a great style of dressing but it was very comfortable for me and that was what I liked. Sweatpants, hoodies and sneakers. I don’t care what anyone said.

I brushed my hair and tied it in to a bun as usual. I have long beautiful dark hair but it’s just plain, Sophia’s hair is cut and layered around her shoulders, mum’s hair is short and cute and even Aunt Jen is in dark short Curls. Mum says she loves my beautiful hair. Well my mum says that I am beautiful a lot.

I put on my glasses, wore my school bag and I went downstairs and saw the note that my mother left for me in the kitchen saying she had to work and that she would make it to to me tonight. I did not mind not seeing her this morning , besides I was not in a good place myself. I had a serious headache.

I had some aspirin from Nana and told her that I had cramps and then I drove to school. School was way worse than I ever imagined it would be. Everyone was laughing at me. I felt so humiliated.

I looked around my eyes searching for one person in particular as I now walked with my hoodie up so that I was not recognized . Then I saw Sophia laughing and talking with her friends. I grabbed her arm and walked off with her towards the bathroom making sure that I did not stop.

“Oh my God! You hurt me! And you are surprisingly strong!” She said to me.

“Thanks. I work out sometimes.” I said as I brought my hoodie down. And then I wagged my finger at her.

“How could you even do this to me Sophia?” I said to her.

“What are you talking about? Why did you bring me to the ladies.” She said.

“Can you stop pretending. What have I ever done to have you treat me this way. I’m your own cousin. I know it was you and your dumb friends who spiked my juice.” I said to her as I looked at heersternly in the eyes. She sighed and rolled her eyes tiredly at me.

“Well they are not dumb if they are not the ones who ended up getting drunk are they?” She said.

I gasped. “How could you?” I cried. “That’s so horrible and then you recorded me and posted it on social media? You are so mean! Everyone is making fun of me!”

I wanted the ground to swallow me right now because it was the most humiliated I have ever been and as I have informed you already, I have not really had good times in this school.

“Oh what are you so worried about? The guy? Your little crush in the video?” She said. “Don’t worry, it is not going to make much of a difference . He doesn’t know you. No one knows you so it’s not going to be much of a difference. And you have to admit that it’s funny video.” She said to me sniggering at me.

I felt hurt and torn apart.

Then the speakers announced. “Louise Carter please report to the principal’s office immediately.”

“Oh my God!” I said scared as I heard my name being called. “I’m in trouble because of you.”

Sophia laughed. “Well, you don’t have to worry. At least you have something fun to to talk about in your life.” She said.

“You know what? Nana saw you and your friends having beer, I could tell them at the principal’s office what you did. I could tell mum.” I said.

Sophia looked at me. There was fear in her eyes obviously and it gave ne satisfaction to know that I could make her scared.

“You would not dare Louise.” She said to me.

“I hope that it does not come to that.” I said to her and with that I walked away but I knew that she was watching me.

I sighed and went in to the principal’s office and I was very shocked to see that mum was there. Uh-oh. I sighed and came in and sat down beside her.

“Thank you for joining us Louise.” Our principal Mrs Smith said. Then she started to speak to mum and i about the video making ne very uncomfortable.

She asked me what the problem was and why I looked like I had some alcohol and the caption on the video was that I was drunk.

I have a side glance to mum who was waiting expectantly for my reply.

I did my best to build up a lie about how I had taken too much of sugar and I was acting a little inappropriate. I assured the principal and mum that I would never indulge in the influence of alcohol because I was not interested in it. Because of the good academic record that I have had with the school, I was let off with a warning about such things and me being cautious.

“Is that really all it was?” Mum asked me when we were outside the principal’s office.

I nodded. “I’m sorry mum.” I said

“It’s okay honey.” She said to me and then she kissed my head. “I’m still going to punish you a little, we’ll talk about it when I get home. I love you.”

“I love you.” I said. “Bye Sandy.” I called to her assistant who blew me a kiss and hurried along with Mum’s bag.

Then I walked down the hall, I turned and saw that Sophia had been following me. She sighed and came forward to meet me when she saw that I had seen her already.

“How are you?” She asked me.

I raised my eyebrow at her. “You just want to know if I snitched on you or not right?” I said.

“Fine. I saw Aunt Jenna leave. Did you say what happened?” She asked coming forward.

“No.” I said.

She sighed and blew a sigh of relief.

“Well that is great news I have to tell you.” She said showing how relieved she was. Then she put an arm around me.

“Now, in place my sweet cousin I have a gift for you.” She said to me enchantingly.

I sighed tiredly. “After all what you’ve done. I don’t want anything from you Sophia.” I said.

“Oh calm down. Or don’t you want to be with your dream boy Ben Davis.” She said to me wriggling her eyebrows at me.

“What? Ben will hate me so much right now and I am so sure of it. He will never even want to have anything to do with me at all.” I said to her and tried to walk away but then she pulled me back.

“What if I tell you one thing that you can do that can get you your Ben Davis?” She said to me wriggling her eyes at me.

“What do you mean?” I said.

I could not help but stop to listen to what she had to say. How couldn’t I? It was about Ben Davis.

“What I mean is that, I can tell you something that can help you to get him to like you.” She said to me.

My whole world came to a stop immediately.
