A Bad Girl for Christmas

(LOUISE’S POV)

“Are you trying to mess with me?” I said gently taking her hand off my shoulder.

I mean, when has she ever wanted to help me?

“I just feel bad for what happened. Okay fine, just listen to what I have to say and if it sounds too weird for you then you can forget it.” She said shrugging.

I folded my arms at her. There was no harm in doing that.

“Okay.” She said and then smiling she said. “I heard that your own boy Ben Davis likes Christmas.”

I looked back at her unimpressed. “He likes Christmas? Who doesn’t? What does that even mean?”

“Slow down Cuz. It means this season he has an extra soft spot, plus I heard he just broke up with his girlfriend so he may be looking.” Sophia wriggled her eyebrows at me teasingly.

“If I were you, I would dress up to stun him on the day of the Christmas dance.” She said winking at me.

“Stun him?” I said confused.

“Yes. Stun him. Sweep him off his feet or whatever.” She said as if it was just as simple as going on a specific errand.

“Look at me Soph, I can’t stun Ben Davis, he likes girls who wear really cute clothes and who are really pretty not nerds like me.” I said feeling all my negative emotions explode.

“Well you are definitely not wrong about that.” She said

“That does not make me feel better.” I said squarely.

“But maybe you could have a chance with him okay? Maybe you could go on and try. Be a bad girl for Christmas, who knows Louise? Surprise him.” She said to me. “You never know what could happen.”

For a moment, I was not sure of the reply to give. Then I shook my head.

“What am I even thinking? That video is out and he has seen it and I am sure that he does not want to have anything to do with me now.” I said with a sad shrug.

“Actually, I went to him and I explained to him.” She said to me looking proud.

“You did what?” I said looking at her as my eyes flew wide open.

“I spoke to him.” She said rolling her eyes at him. “And he is cool.”

“He now knows I exist.” I said with a croaked voice and Sophia rolled her eyes probably for the hundredth time.

“Why would you do all this? Why are you being nice?” I asked her.

She shrugged her shoulders at me.

“You’re my cousin.” She said.

“But you’re horrible to me.” I pointed out.

Sophia and I have not always been like this. We used to be friends when we were much much younger. Well, we were really little but I remember all the tea parties and princess dates and hair dates.

And then we started growing up and she started becoming totally HORRIBLE to me. I have no idea why.

“Well maybe we could put that behind us?” She said to me. “Anyway I have to leave now.”

“So you’ll help me with Benjamin Davis? You could help me be a bad girl?” I asked her as she turned to leave.

“What?” She said eyeing me. “What am I? Some prep woman or something? I’ve helped you enough. Now I’m off to make out with my boyfriend Troy.”

She gave an excited giggled as she smoothened her tube skirt and halter neck top.

Troy Harris is Sophia’s boyfriend and who else to date the hottest girl in school but the hottest boy in school. That is who Troy is. He is the captain of the football team, star quarterback and he is the school’s number one Jock.

Fun fact, he is also my next door neighbor. We have lived next to each other all my life and we used to be friends when we were kids. And just like most people do, stopped talking to me when he became popular and stupid. Anyway, he is a real jerk that one and so it’s not like a loss for me but I do have to say, he has beautiful golden blonde hair, beautiful blue eyes and a tall, muscular body. He is the School’s number one bad boy and his parents are very wealthy l.

“We are going to Valerodes for a special breakfast .” She said winking at me

“It’s almost time for the first class of the day.” I said to her and she laughed at me as if I said something very funny.

“Seriously Louise. You have got to lm live a little.” She said to me and then wriggling her fingers at me as if to say good bye, she walked away.

I hurried off to class before I was any more late. Of course I had the worst day at school and I could not wait for it to end. I got laughed at and teased several times and I am so glad that I don’t have any classes with Ben today because if I did, I may have rushed down to the school’s sick bay.

Anyway, Ben was on my mind throughout anyway and I could not stop thinking of him. During lunch, I decided to go down to the Students Tutors Hall. I had my own section there. Of course I will, I am one of the smartest kids in school and I am an even better teacher.

“So sorry about what happened with you today Louise.” It was one of the girls here who tutored with me.

“Thanks Camille.” I told her.

Thankfully, she was clearing out and so the hall was empty. Good, I had the place all to myself. I don’t mind hanging out with some of the other nerdy tutors here, they are cool. But I just needed to be by myself.

I got in to the wheeler chair and turned it around as I sat in it eating some potato chips. It was a good thing that I had somewhere to stay and I did not have to go out to the cafeteria for lunch. Not today that my life is hell.

So while I enjoyed my alone time in the cafeteria someone interrupted me with footsteps. Thankfully I was almost done with my chips. I stood up and gathered my things waiting for whoever it was to come in to view and you will not believe who it was.

Troy Harris. Yes, Troy my cousin Sophia’s boyfriend, school jock, my next door neighbor and the biggest jerk of the century guys.

This is why Troy is the most popular boy in school. The first few seconds you saw him at first, you almost always stopped to appreciate how gorgeous he was. Blue eyes, blonde hair, big biceps, nice abs, tall figure and a perfect face.

But then he opened his mouth to start talking and I usually fell of the spell by then. Most girls don’t.

“Oh thank goodness you’re here.” He said coming towards me.

I pointed at myself and looked behind me even though it was just the both of us in the hall.

“Yes you.” He said to me. Then he gave me a bright smile and gave me a some kind of paper. I took it from him and scanned through it.

“What?” I said looking up at him. And then I forced a smile and a fake laugh. “Actually, that’s not me.”

I tried to leave but he got to the front of me with a confused expression on his face.

“What are you talking about?” He said to me. “I know you’re Louise Carter.”

I sighed. It was a job for me. I was supposed to be his tutor on an essay that he was finding difficult to write. Well, who does this kinds of things without telling anyone. Anyway, it’s why as a tutor I have the right to reject whoever it is that I don’t want to Tutor. Which is what I am about to do now.

“Look, I actually am preparing for the Christmas holidays so I don’t have the time. I’m sorry. Maybe you can meet someone else.” I said to him with a polite smile and I gathered my things and turned around to leave.

“Okay yeah I understand . Nice video by the way.” He said with a mocking smile.

“That’s why I rejected you. You are a jerk.” I said to his face and with that I walked away and the slammed the door hard.

I could never be with guys like these, I would rather be with nice guys like Benjamin not assholes like Troy. I mean what did Sophia see in him anyways? Well, to be honest, they kind of fit each other anyway.

I did not care for them. Troy Harris could go to hell for all I care. Frankly, I think he would be wanted there. I had my mind on one thing and one thing only, how was I going to be a bad girl for Christmas?
