The Witch

1030 Words
The next morning the sun woke me, peaking in through the blinds of my room. I smiled a stretched, calling out to dot that I’m awake. She appears quickly, asking if I wanted breakfast brought to me. No thank you, let’s go to breakfast. I want out of this room for sure. She nods quickly and walks over to help support me onto my feet. I wobble a Little before I get my barring. Smiling, we chatter on our way to the kitchen. It felt nice to move my legs, they have been sitting still for to long. We enter the kitchen to the smell of pancakes, which are quickly sat in front of me with a glass of orange juice. The walk down to the kitchen was a little tiring, but the good kind. Clearing my plate took no time, and I could hear Micheal chuckling as he entered the kitchen with a lady in tow I’ve never seen. It seems our alpha is awake Maribel. He smiles at her as he nods in my direction. Oh good, I’m so glad. There it was, that voice I heard in my sick haze. You were in my room? I question softly. Oh yes, they called a witch when they worried they couldn’t fix you. She extended her hand. names Maribel. I took it quickly. Zamora, as I’m sure you are aware. She smiles. Yes of course, when you are done with breakfast, we will need to talk if you don’t mind indulging me. I nod at her as dot brings me more pancakes. My lack of nutrition during my sickness had hit me like a ton of bricks. My stomach was raving for food, however I had to remind myself to slow down so I didn’t get sick. When I finished breakfast, Dot helped me to my study with Micheal and Maribel in tow. Once we were all settled the story that Maribel told is still a bit of a shock. Long ago there was a line that created a magic sensitive Werwolf. This wolf was to be the alpha of all alphas, the keeper of the throne. This wolf was trained by the covent to use their magic properly. One generation, unknown how magic is just a little strange sometimes, two magic sensitive wolfs were born. One of those wolves, with darkness and power hungry convinced himself that he was the one to rule them all. He created a war, that nearly wiped out the Werwolf population. It was believed that in that war all of the magic sensitive wolfs had been wiped out, so as they rebuilt the population, there was no fear of this occurring again. However, when the witch found the rogue king this assumption was found incorrect. He was magic sensitive, and the witch that found him had her power hunger ran rampart though her mind. She disconnected herself from the covent and took to training him on her own. Unfortunately, that training was dark, power based. She was feeding him the idea of being the all powerful, throne holding Werwolf. The rest of the witches feared that he would be the alpha on the throne, until the whispers of a pink wolf hit their ears. Pink was such a rare color that hope sparked within them. Maribel’s hope increased when she got here and my temperature magically disappeared. Soaking in that I was magical, and special was the easy part. I knew from the goddess already that I was. However, to hear that I had to go to war with the rouge king. And to top it all off SIT ON A THRONE. It was insane to think that I could rule, I was just now learning how to keep my pack moving. I sat there as stone, staring at Maribel. She had to be mistaken, there was no way. Plus long ago the council formed, that stopped the need for the throne right? Or were they just advisors awaiting their monarch? The questions swirled in my head until I could no longer disconnect them from each other. Sighing, I looked at all of them. Each of there eyes were asking what to do. I could see the confusion in dot’s and Micheal’s eyes. I do have magic. I looked at each of them in turn. However, me sitting on a throne is unthinkable. We are going to not worry about that part of “this tale”. The other issue that concerns me is the war. It seems that it will happen. And I have no choice, the Rouge king is coming. He moves swiftly, but carefully here. So it will happen. I’m going to need to learn magic. My powers, if he has them too, will be a huge need. So Maribel I will need your help. Let’s handle the war before we worry about session. Micheal nods and states, we will have to find a quiet excluded part of territory for you to practice. Ralph and his group are on the way here for a week of training, it might be best not to let other packs know what you can do. We all agreed as I sat back. Has anyone explored our expansion since it occurred? We all know we don’t have anything like that here, but maybe in the new territory? I don’t think we have, both dot and Micheal say. Good. I turn to dot. You are my explorer. Which means that falls to you. Layla can watch me as I heal. Even though I’m feeling much stronger. I’m sure I’ll be full recovered by tomorrow. Also, this stays between us. No one, not even your mates are to know about it. Understand? Everyone nods in agreement. I think they all understand my life is in danger if this information got out. I already have a target on my back with some of the other alpha’s and even a few elders. So learning that they will have to either follow me or the rogue king, this may divide the community completely. We may be looking at another near wipeout again. Unfortunately, I fear history may repeat itself.
