27. Summoned

I was right about today. It is so many discharges and everyone is awake now. Even Dr. Cruor is awake. I'm so happy. I will finally get a few days off. I check the time and it seems to be about 11. I go to Thoras room and it's only her and the baby.
"Hi Thora, I need to check you." I yell out the door, "ONE OF YOU COME HOLD THIS BABY."
All of them show up within 2 seconds. Then they start arguing.
"Wait. Take the baby to the desk and take turns. I will finish up with Thora and then come get Ana back." I smile at Thora, "Sorry about that. We really don't get any babies here. Will you lift the gown please? Thank you. The incisions all are great. Everything is healed. Your stomach is going back to regular size." I sit down. "Thora, I have no idea what caused your issue. That is definitely something you will want to talk to Dr. Cruor about. Even now, I don't feel anything wrong. Have you ever had any issues before?"
"Nothing doctor."
"Do you feel comfortable going home now or would you like some more time here? Your body went through a lot, so if you would like a day or 2 more, it's not a problem. But physically you are well enough to leave."
"I would like to go home and be a family now."
"I can understand that. I will discharge you now. I'll also send someone for Frode and I am going to share all the information I have with Dr. Cruor when he's well again. I'm sure he will be asking for a follow-up appointment." She nods. I open the door. "You can bring the baby back in."
"AWW I only got a little turn."
"Thora, if you could also bring Ana for visits, that would be great."
She laughs. "Of course doctor."
Frode comes running in.
"She's free to go. Remember to be easy for a few weeks. Lots of rest."
Frode hugs me again. "Your dad is almost calmed down now. He only threw Dipaks sword at Tre once so far. Hasn't hit him yet. Your mom is up there now trying to calm him down more. While also expressing the need for grandbabies. And Tre had to promise not to tell you where babies come from until after you're of age. It's hilarious up there."
"That's great."
I go back to my office. Guess no lunch for me again today.
"DOCTOR! HERE QUICK."
I run towards the door. What now?
"Hiking and fell over the cliff."
"Put her in room 2."
2 hours later, I come out covered in goo. "Mary help. I'm dirty and hungry."
By the time I get back, Dipak is standing there with food. "Tre is held up with some sword issues. Frode said you got sucked into surgery right before lunch. So here I am with lunch for you ladies."
Dorseti grabs some stuff from him. "I'm glad you're the one we like."
"And I'm glad my man parts are safe, miss."
I wrap my arms around Dipaks waist and don't let go. "I am so hungry. Thank you for bringing food." I start to cry.
He sits the food down and hugs me back.
Mary says, "I don't know."
He rubs my back. "You're hungry princess. Sit down and eat something."
He wipes my face off while Mary gets me some food.
"No sword fights today?"
"Sorry not today. I'm really to busy." I feel the tears coming back but I manage to stop them.
"Let me know if you're still here at dinner. I will bring more up."
"Thank you."
He lifts my chin up and looks into my eyes. "Do you want to go talk for a little bit?"
"I'm to busy. I was hungry."
He kisses me on the head. "Anytime you need anything, send for me princess."
"Awww. I know why we like you now."
I start to laugh.
He smiles at me. "I'm serious."
"I know. Thank you."
I actually get done right before dinner. I wash up and change clothes again. Then I lay down on my couch to relax for a minute when Tre comes in.
He smiles at me and locks the door. "How was your day baby?"
"Horrible. Yours?"
"Horrible."
He lays on the couch with me. He puts his head on my stomach and I massage it. "Your hair is so soft on my fingers."
"That feels good baby."
2 hours later, I wake up with him sleeping on me like that. My fingers are still in his hair.
"Tre." I rub his head again.
He stretches a little. "What baby?"
"I think we fell asleep."
"Sorry princess. I didn't know I was that tired."
"Me either."
"Let's go get some food. We'll have an easy night and early bed. How's that sound?"
I give him a little kiss and nibble on his bottom lip.
He takes the hint and gives me a deep kiss. By the time he breaks it off both of our eyes are dark. "Unless you have other ideas princess?"
"Easy night sounds perfect. I just wanted to see your dark eyes. I missed them."
He pulls me against him and gives me another deep kiss. "Yours are beautiful."
"I love you Tre."
He lays his forehead on mine and looks into my eyes. "I love you." I feel him trying to relax his shoulders. "We need to go before I clear your desk off and take you on it."
I kiss him again, then I take his hand and lead him to the royal wing. I need sleep more than food. I'll eat a little with him though.
The next morning, Mary wakes me up by opening the curtain. "Good morning little miss. How did you sleep?"
"Very well, thank you."
"Your parents are out already this morning and they said Tre would be out for awhile as well. They didn't tell me what they are all doing."
"That's fine. I have a bunch more discharges today. I'll be so busy I won't notice."
She gets me ready and I grab a little fruit. I go right up to the medical area and start in on discharges. I work straight threw lunch again. Seems to work better that way. It is so busy here with all these people. I talk with Dr. Cruor a bit about Thora. He finds it quite interesting and will follow up with her.
Dorseti is sitting at the nurse's desk by the time I get a break.
"Hi princess. How has the day been going?"
"As expected. Busy."
"What are they doing here?"
I turn around and 4 of the Kings Guard are walking towards us.
"That is different."
"Ma'am you are being summoned to the king's office for an emergency advisory meeting."
"What does that mean?"
"You have to come with us."
"Is everyone ok?"
"Yes."
"Dorseti, please tell Vitchen to do the rounds."
"Yes Nadia."
I go with the guards. I have no options. They will just carry me if I refuse. It's weird that my dad would send guards to get me though.
