The guards open the door to my dads office.
Everyone is at the conference table. It's a long table. Sits probably 20 people. My dad is at 1 end. Mom and Asa are to his sides. Tre sits by Asa then Frode and Dracul. Gunner is by my mom, then Diapak.
I don't have a good feeling about this. I sit at the entirely other end of the table. I am facing my father. "Frode, you should be home with Thora. It is to soon for you to be away from her."
"Yes princess. I was signing a few things. I'm going back now." He gets up and leaves. Great. That worked well. Only 7 more to talk out of here. "Why was I forced here?"
Tre drops the rock on the table.
"That rock again? Why do you people care about that stupid rock?"
"Because you sleep with it. It was in your bed when I put you in there."
"It must have fell off the table."
"It was on the couch in your office too."
I sit back. "Why did you remove it?"
"It's a rock and you have some sort of attachment to it."
I laugh. "Well that rock has seen more of face and head than you have."
"It's not just the rock princess." My mom looks at me this time. "You're not eating. You have lost so much weight, we can see your ribs. You are not healthy. How many times in the last week has someone caught you passing out?"
I laugh again. "Dipak, in your opinion, how many of the times I passed out for you were because I was drugged?"
"All of them."
"I CAN SEE YOUR RIBS. YOU ARE NOT EATING." Moms mad.
Asa smiles at me. "When is the last time you ate princess?"
"I ate this morning."
"What did you have?" Damn.
"Fruit."
"Princess."
"What Dipak."
"We're all worried about you. But the food and the rock aren't the issues here."
I can feel my anger rising. "What is your issue with me, Advisor Dipak?"
My dad stands up. "Everyone stop. Nadine you are summoning your dragon power and you need to relax."
My vision goes red.
I smirk and start twirling the veil off slow.
"Asa, Aurelia out now."
"Miculai she is my daughter."
"OUT NOW!"
"To late Vampire King Miculai Sandu. Here I am. She called for me quick." I shake my head side to side a bit and blink a few times. "You boys got this girl all kinds of messed up." I keep twirling the veil.
I wait for the door to shut behind them and I put my feet up on the table. "So what is your issue with me, Advisor Dipak?" The veil drops. "You all know I hate that thing."
"Why did your brother attack you?"
I climb up on the table and go to Dipak. I sit in front of him. "Because I turned into a dragon. He said he worked on his for 40 years and I did it right away. It wasn't hard at all for me. I didn't even know I could do that until that day. He was mad that something he worked so hard for was easy for me." I turn and face my father. "I stayed on the field that day so I could ask him to help me with mine. I waited until everyone left. He was coming towards me. I started telling him how magical his dragon was." I let the rock hit the table. "The first hit came from 20 feet away. He threw it as hard as he could. I felt and heard my skull crack. Once I was down. He beat me. He kicked me. I took the rock and his boot to my head, to many times to count. He sliced my skin open. He stabbed me. He sat on me and kept hitting me more and more asking my why I wouldn't die already." Dipak has tears on his face. "I remember every hit." I reach out and run my finger down Dipaks' cheek. I look in his eyes. "He enjoyed it."
I stand up in the center of the table. "Anyways. I can't help but wonder who else at this table wants me dead and is pretending to care." I walk on the table all the way back to my spot and fall off the table and into my chair. "How many just want the king title?" I stare at Tre. "I'm just a little girl they have to deal with to get that title."
I put my feet back up on the table. "Next question, Advisor Dipak."
"Why do you keep the rock?"
"That's an easy one sweetheart. Come on. I know you can do better than that."
Tre sits up. "Tell us."
"Fine, I'll give you 1 reason." My vision goes really red this time. I can feel the hate and anger coming out of me. "The next time someone I have loved my entire life tries to kill me." I throw the rock at my dad's desk and the desk breaks completely apart. "I'll get the first hit." I can still feel the anger flowing. "That answer your question Advisor Tre?"
"You're lying."
I pick the rock back up and smile at Tre. "I keep the rock close to remind myself to not trust anyone. If my own brother can do that to me. Anyone can." I sit back down in my chair. "I can trust no one. Any other questions?"
My dad stands up. "Nadine I need you to relax."
I slam my fists on the table. It cracks all the way down to his end. "That's all any of you want. A drugged docile little girl. Someone you have to take care of. You all did this to me. You made me think I was weak all this time." I hit the table and it splits in the middle and falls out toward the advisors. They all jump up. I walk to Dipak and put my fingers on his lips. "I do like them."
"Any other questions gentlemen?"
"Can I have my daughter back now?"
"Are you strong enough to command me old man?"
"I would rather not have to."
"hmmm. You don't think you can. I'm to strong for you. Does that mean they are my advisors now?"
Dad laughs. "Not quite yet."
Dipak watches me. "Is there anything else you want to say or ask?"
"Yes, Advisor Dipak. Thank you for asking sir." I go up to Tre and run my fingers over his lips down his throat. I slam him into the wall and hold him there by his throat. "The next time you want play with your new advisor powers. Don't play with me. You fail to realize how quickly I can end you." I drop him to the ground.
I sit back down in my seat. "You need to trust your advisors around your daughter. She has no one left but them." I glance between Dipak and Tre. "They have had opportunities to do things with her." I smirk. "They have proven they will not touch her."
"She is still a child."
"If they hurt her. They will deal with me." I start to laugh. "And I'm a hell of a lot meaner than you old man."
I go over to Dipak again. "I'll give her back to you. But you have to teach her. Make her strong Advisor Dipak. She's going to need it."
He nods.
I reach out and touch his lips again. I step right up against him. Then I whisper in his ear, "Oh, the fun I'm going to have with you."
I drop and feel his arms wrap around me.
