As much as she loved her sister Meg hated waiting, but right now she was doing exactly that in school parking out.
She came to a while later with a group of her new friends. Meg noticed Ellen laughing when the brown haired guy with striking good looks said something to her and the way they were looking at each other Meg knew they won't be 'just friends' for long.
"Who was he ?"Meg asked as soon as they were in the car.
"Sebastian" she grinned"The smartest guy in class and you have seen for yourself how hot he is" she added with a wink
"That he is" Meg agreed
"Totally" Ellen grinned.
Meg sighed feeling a little wistful .Her best friend had a boyfriend, her sister was on her way to have one(not to mention both of them had a long list of guys they dated in past)but she?
NONE.
Some justice nature does. Huh?
"Sorry for making you wait, "Ellen said dragging her mind to the present " I just wanted to hang out with my friends a little longer "
****
Dinner at home later in the day was as always tasty and they had it together like a small happy family. Meg's mood dampened a little when her mom handed her a long list of groceries she was to buy tomorrow and this one was longer than usual ones because a lot of other stuff have been added to it, all because they have moved to a new place.
"Mom, why cant you give it to Ellen or Dad?" she whined.
"I would have asked your dad sweetie, but he has some business to deal with tomorrow"
"Ellen?"
Her sister immediately threw her hands up in the air "I'm hanging out with my friends tomorrow"
Her mother gave Meg the you-don't -have-any-other option smile making her sigh in defeat.
Sulking she moved in the direction of her bedroom and for a few seconds stomping up all the way on the staircase seemed like a good option but then she dropped it reminding herself that she was not an immature brat but rather a mature and a sensible person who dealt with all kinds of situations no matter how unpleasant in a logical and level headed manner, though she turned to Ellen and stuck out her tongue at her.
Ellen couldn't suppress a smile when she heard her annoyed older sister grumble something unpleasant under her breath.
It was such a blessing to have siblings!
