Chapter 7

The next day at school Meg found herself waiting eagerly for the biology hour so she could see Roan, which surprised even her but she chalked it up to the crush she had developed on him.

He was a very attractive guy who happened to be in same class and though she had never before had developed such an intense crush on any guy before Meg was sure her feelings of infatuation will run their course over time, for now, she wanted to enjoy the sensation.

Even during lunch, she glanced at the table in the farthest corner of the cafeteria . The tall, dark-haired handsome boy sat all alone and she wondered Why hadn't he made any friends by now?

If what she heard from Cam was true Roan had been in this school for a long time and people knew him but more than being the school's most popular guy which he certainly had the looks for he was content being a shadow.

"Don't waste your time on him, he is a total loner," Cam said patting her shoulder

Whoa!was it was written all over her face that she was crushing on the guy?

She sighed,' Great, exactly what I needed! '

'But seriously, what's the deal with Roan ?

She had just seen the super hot cheerleader shoot a more than friendly smile at him and while the other guys drooled Roran casually ignored her. As if he hadn't seen her at all.

Meg frowned.

She knew she was easy on eyes, not barbie doll type pretty but she wasn't low in the looks department in any way, but the guy who just gave the blind eye to that kind of gorgeous cheerleader, what were the chances that he would even glance her way?

Zero, a big fat zero!

As if reading her mind Lisa threw an around her shoulders "Meg, you are a total babe and if Roan over there can't see it then he is simply blind"

She arched an eyebrow but a grin spread on her face nonetheless.

Next, next class....Biology finally!!

One step inside the classroom and all of Meg's excitement went down in the drains, the backseat was empty.

She frowned noticing that his seat wasn't the only one empty, others were too.

"Where is everybody?" she asked the girl beside her vaguely gesturing at the empty seats.

"Some meeting, the entire basketball team members were asked to attend it "

Surprise! Surprise! the ever silent boy Roan Mastlor played basketball ! She was pleased because basketball had always been her favourite sport and still is.

When class began Meg thought she could concentrate on the lecture today because of his absence but NO, her treacherous mind kept thinking about when he would come back?

But it turned out the sports meeting went on for so long that he missed an entire period.

"Lucky guy"she thought glumly .The lecture on arthropods wasn't entirely thrilling to listen to.

When the school finally ended and the Calve sisters were back inside the car Ellen complained with pout at Meg "You never let me drive"

"I dont want it to be damaged"

"I would never damaged our car"

"That's because I would never let you drive the car"Meg reasoned affectionatly running her hands over the steeling.

Ellen rolled eyes at her sister's dramatics "How will you know that I can or can't drive well if you never let me drive ?"

"I don't ever want to know"Meg replied flatly.

Ellen huffed but since this tactic was not working on her sister she decided to try another one ,The one even their mom wasn't immune against.

She widened her eyes plastering a very innocent and pleading expression in her fsce

"Meg,please let me drive ,Pretty please!"

"Your puppy dog eyes wont work on me this time " she shot her sister down.

Ellen groaned"You are heartless,this face..."she said pointing at the innocent expression "Works like a charm on everyone"

Meg knew that all too well . She herself had been a victim of that look too many times , whenever Ellen wanted her to do her homework or make some excuse for her in front of their mom but, never when it was about Ellen wanting to drive the car.

The car was Meg's baby, she never allowed anybody else to drive it except her own self.
