First travel to the shore

AFTER A FEW HOURS

AT ATLANTHEA'S POW:

After the birthday party was over, I swam to my father's chambers and saw him sitting on the bed. He seemed to be pretty nervous and I kinda understand his reason for it. I sat down near him and sighed.

-Dad, I want to know what is going on.-I said.

-You lost your memory about it. You are cursed, sweetie, by the sea, which.-He said.

-A sea which?-I asked.

-Yes.-He said.

I looked at him confused. I have to start getting less confused, since a month ago I thought that mermaids were also characters in stories my father told me before I slept.

-What kind of curse do I have and how to break it?-I asked.

-You have 'fallen in love', curse. It's a curse that has been given to you since your mom was a siren.-He said.

-So who am I?-I asked.

-We can not tell. You haven't shown any siren or mermaid things. I think that you might be both of them.-He said.

-It is rare but possible. In your curse, you must marry a man who loves you before your 20th birthday or die. I had to take care of you before the 18th one, since now you are able to look for your fiance.-He said.

-Dad, I can not believe that I must get married so young.-I said.

-I know and I'm sorry that you have to do something like that.-He said.

I nodded and sighed. Two years is not a long time, but I am sure that I could fall in love with someone and save this princess. I still wonder if my body is in a coma or if I am really forever transferred to this body.

- I want to see the shore. I heard that it is really beautiful.-I said.

-I am going to let you go there tomorrow. Still, you must have at least one guard following you and also you must wear special decorations on your tail to make sure that no bad person can catch you. I also must tell you some rules.-He said.

I nodded and hugged him tightly.

-THANK YOU! THANK YOU DAD!-I said and swam off to my room.

I decided to go to sleep early so I could go to the shore faster tomorrow.

In the morning, I saw that Alya had already packed some new clothes for me. I think those might be special ones for me going to the shore.

-Your father is waiting for you.-Alya said and left.

I nodded and got ready before leaving the main room. I went there and soon after ate breakfast with my dad.

-So what kind of rules must I know?-I asked.

-Be a bit more patient sweetie.-He said and chuckled a bit.

I am sorry dad, I am just really excited.-I said and smiled.

-I understand that sweetie. - He said and nodded.

-So what kind of rules do I have to know. - I asked.

-You have to know that you can't do these things:

*Can't go to shore without a guard.

*Reach sand without a person to help you.

*Don't talk to people from the shore.

*Don't trust people from the shore since they could put you in danger.

Those sound like pretty hard rules. I think that they are pretty strict, but I think that father does that since he really wishes to protect me.

-I understand that now. Thanks for telling me that, father. - I said and smiled.

-I am happy to hear that. I want to make sure that you are alright. You may go now. - He said and smiled.

I nodded and left.

It made me pretty confused, since I had thought that we were deeper under water. I think that it's a bit dangerous to live in a place like that. I took my head out of the water and sighed. I missed the sun and light, so it was a pretty delightful feeling.

-Do not stay so far from me. - Guard said and frowned.

-I am sorry. - I said and signed.

-I understand that. I have to take care of you. - Guard said and smiled.

-I understand that. I will be careful. - I said and smiled.

I started swimming around the shore and it was an amazing feeling. I mean it has been a long time since I have seen sunlight, so it is quite a delightful feeling for me. I wish that I could spend more time here, but I still have to listen to my father.

–Something is wrong? - A guard asked.

-Everything is okay. - I said and smiled.

I kept swimming and soon I heard a song. I looked around and saw a few men swimming and sailing. It does look nice and I do like it. It seems that some sea seamen are enjoying their time here.

-Who are they?-I asked, pretending to be confused. It was not the first time I had seen a sailor. My father was one, after all.

-I do not see them often, but I think that is a prince and his crew.-the Guard said.

-A prince? - I asked, even more confused.

-A prince is living on a nearby island, but he also loves sailing. - the Guard said.

I nodded and smiled. I hadn't thought that a prince could live in a place like this. It sounds like some unbelievable thing. I am excited, but since he is from the shore, I am sure that my dad won't let me meet him. I looked at the ship and I could recognize him from his royal outfit. I can tell that he is handsome indeed.

I turned around and left back to the castle. I laid on my bed and sighed a bit. If I want to save this Atlanthea's body, I must get married in two years. I know that it will take time to find someone. I don't want to marry a prince if the only thing he cares about is a throne. I want to fall in love again.
