Chapter 11

1059 Words
Kaia Celene I was given a day to prepare for my trial, no thanks to my over protective friend Kade. He's over reacting in this whole trial thing which in my part is already decided. I was sitting by the window inside my room, reading a book I got from Irene. Turns out she’s quite a reader like me so I borrowed some books from her. She asked me why I’m not training myself for tomorrow and I just answered her with a shrug; there’s not much to train anyway. 'I thought I was gonna see blood yesterday. Tell that mutt friend of yours not to interfere in other people’s business. The next time he does that, I will get rid of him myself and not even you can save him.'  I didn’t bother answering her because no matter what I say, Leah will not listen. She’s not the type to make empty threats; she does what she says. The sun’s starting to set and it’s almost dinner time. I’ll just have Irene bring me up some food. I don’t feel like going to the dinning with all the malicious looks on me. I sighed and once again focused myself on my reading. My peaceful time was interrupted when my bedroom door slammed open. I can already tell by his foul smell that it is Ashton. I turn around and saw him standing by my bed. "I had a short meeting with my warriors and they all agreed to change the traditional trial since you are a rogue for more than five years. We wouldn't want to be living with traitors." he said not showing any interest but a smirk was playing on his lips. It seems like they made the trial even more difficult for me. I shrugged my shoulders and asked, "Well, what's the new trial?"  "It will be announced tomorrow." I nodded my head and I thought he would leave but he's still standing there staring at me which I find completely disturbing. "Is there anything else you wanted to say king?" he blinked a couple of times before looking away.  Clearing his throat he said, "What is your relationship with my beta?" I frowned at his question.  "Why do you care? He's just my best friend AND a past lover." he growled the moment he heard the words 'past lover'. I mentally smirked. 'You little devil. You purposely said that to him didn't you?' asked Leah. 'You got me.' 'Nice. Finally you gave me a reason to like the relationship you had with that mutt. I like how it pisses off our w***e of a mate.' I felt Leah smirked and disappeared at the back of my mind. "Did you have s*x with him? Oh what a stupid question, I bet you've been f*****g around every guy you met to what? To gain information for your filthy pack of rogues?" this time it was my turn to growl. How dare he insult me like that? He doesn't even know a single thing about me.  "You have no right to insult me like that Ashton. So what if I go around having s*x with everyone, you are no different from me. f*****g that Nic-w***e all night, oh no, not just her I bet you nailed all the ladies in this pack. Is that how you take care of the ladies of your pack? You make them your personal w***e----" I was cut off by a hard slap which caused me to fly all the way across the room, my back hitting the wall. I bit my lower lip at the impact. When I looked at him I saw worry but then it was replaced by anger the moment I saw it.  "I’ll make sure you suffer during the trial tomorrow. That will teach you a lesson to respect your king. If you happen to be not my mate you'll be dead in a heartbeat but you being dead will weaken me. You lucky bitch." after his remark he left my room banging the door close. I tasted blood in my mouth and I can feel my cheeks burning but then it slowly faded. 'You seem calm after everything he said and done. Are you alright?' Leah asked concern is evident in her voice. 'Better. I will show him that I won't back down without a god damn fight.' I growled. I stood up and went into my bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and stared into my reflection with a burning anger in my eyes. You will regret this Ashton. ~~~~   After eating the food sent by Irene, I decided to go straight to bed and restore my strength for tomorrow’s trial but as I was about to embrace sleep, there was a pain building in my chest. I started to breath heavily and the pain is starting to burn, getting more painful by the minute. I quickly ran outside the castle and went to the cliff where I went the first time I felt this pain. That son of a b***h is f*****g that w***e right after he hurt me. I shifted into my wolf and slammed myself to the trees to lessen the pain but it was no use. The pain was unbearable that I almost fainted and this time it was longer. I looked down on my sharp claws and did the only thing I thought would ease the pain. I clawed myself and blood started to pool around me. I've been breathing heavily and I feel so weak. The healing process is slower because of the pain and my wound kept bleeding. Leah's been quiet the entire time like she was already expecting this to happen but I can feel her pain. I slammed my body to the trees again ignoring my still healing wound. I heard a c***k and I whimpered in pain. I just broke my ribs. This was more painful than before. Tears started to pool in my eyes and I tried to held them back but when another shot pain came all the tears fell. I silently cried on that peaceful night. For the first time since that person died, I cried.
