Chapter 12

Kaia Celene

I was standing in front of a very tall and handsome man. The most handsome man I have ever seen. His captivating grey eyes that seems to see through my darkest soul; his perfectly carved chest is matched with a tanned skin that makes him look like a living god. His luscious lips are so inviting, like its waiting to be tasted. Damn he's just so hot! I tried inhaling his scent to know what he smelled like but my senses are not functioning. I can’t even hear the wind, the trees, and everything that surrounds me.

I was about to say something to this gorgeous creature when I felt my whole body weaken. I can feel myself falling to the ground which made me smile. Is this the part where he will put his arms around me and catch me from falling? Oh I can't wait.

But all my expectations crashed when I fell on the ground with no one catching me. Tsk. Jerk. I mentally pouted and I heard a deep chuckle; a deep sexy chuckle. s**t I'm acting like an animal. I should act more human in front of him even though he was being a jerk. I tried opening my eyes even though they are about to give up and I was shocked when I saw him kneeling down right in front of me. I looked around and saw the whole forest is filled with blood. Not my blood but the blood of the wolves who tried to take advantage of her body. The girl was gone. All I can do was help her but now she's gone healing herself.

"Are you okay?" I rolled my eyes at him. He should be thankful he's handsome or else I would have strangled him. But the way he talks is like a seduction to me. Why am I acting like this? Maybe it’s just the looks. I tried to move my body but I failed. It seems like the whole fight tire me out. 

"I-I can't move my body." I said in a very hoarse tone. I haven't drank or eaten anything for weeks and I'm starving and I'm filthy and I'm horny--- wait---what? What am I thinking? How can this man have so much power over me?

"I can see that love." I tried to hide my smile when he called me love. But my muscles are not listening to me.

"Want me to carry you?"

My eyes fluttered open and instead of walls I saw trees around me. It’s almost dawn and for a moment I wondered how I got here. Then suddenly the memories of last night came rushing in like a movie inside my head. I touched the part where my mate slapped me. The pain is gone but the memory still remains. I won't let him get away with this. I remember my dream---no it wasn't mine. It was Leah's dream. It can't be a memory because if it really is, then I can remember it too.  I tried to recall the face of that man but I can't.

‘What was that dream about Leah?' instead of answering me Leah just gave me a shrug. I can feel her confusion too, so I guess she has no idea what that dream is all about as well.

I'm tired and I can hardly move my body. I scanned my whole body for any signs of scars from my claws but there was nothing; thankfully. My blood has dried out and everything around here is a mess. I tried my best to stand and walk back to the castle. My trial will start later today. I'm pretty sure they will ask me to shift. I can't let anyone see Leah’s form just yet. Leah is a very rare wolf. She's huge. Literally. I have to go and ask Alexia for a solution; I know she can help me.

I silently walked into my room and went straight to my bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and I saw the necklace Alexia gave me. "I can contact her through this." 

~~~FLASHBACK~~~

"If there are cases that we'll be far from each other and we don't have phones or if it’s something very important that we can’t talk about it over the phone, you can contact me with this." Alexia handed me a necklace. I looked at it closely to see if there is anything such as a tracking device or a voice transmitter. 

"It has nothing to with modern technology you silly shewolf." 

"You can use this to contact me as in witch contact. You’re gonna need a candle and imagine yourself releasing energy. While you’re at it, you must think of me and only me. If it worked the candle with light itself and in a piece of paper write your message to me then burn it. After that you need to sleep and I'll come to your dream." I nodded my head in understanding then I realized something.

"Did you just teach me witch tricks? That doesn’t sound right for a werewolf." she rolled her eyes at me.

"Well you’re not just a werewolf and it's a very useful trick so go on and practice."

I did all my preparations and started releasing my energy the moment I closed my eyes.  I tried to minimize the amount of energy I release to avoid anyone sensing it. Being in the castle of the werewolf king I’m pretty sure he has a couple of witches under his control. I don't want him knowing that I have this kind of ability. Well if it isn't because of Alexia I wouldn't have any knowledge on how to do these things but it sure comes in handy. 

When I opened my eyes the candle is already on fire. The moment the paper was burned the candle light is gone.  I looked at my phone and it’s still three in the morning. I went straight to bed and fell asleep.

I woke up in the same field where I last talked to Alexia.

"Took you long enough." I turn around and saw her smirking at me.

"I need your help Alexia." 

"Well obviously. What's up?" she asked. 

"I'll be put into trial later today---"

"What??!!!! What the hell did you do? Did you kill that w***e? I told you to stay low and play with them, not kill them. I can't do a teleportation spell because your body is too far---ouch." I smacked her head to shut her up. She glared at me and I just rolled my eyes at her.

"Will you please listen to me? I didn't do anything; well not yet, but my mate wanted me to undergo an acceptance trial. He gave me three conditions; if I pass all three of the trial then I can join the pack as a pack warrior, if I pass one trial then I'll be an omega and if I pass none of the trials then god knows what will happen to me. What do you think is worse than being an omega?" Alexia's jaw almost dropped at my dilemma clearly not believing the mess I'm in.

"You're such an idiot." she whispered in disbelief. I almost growled at her for calling me an i***t.

"How can you let something like this happen? Are you aware that during an acceptance trial you will be asked to fight in your wolf form? That's clearly basic." I know I am such an i***t for letting my pride get ahead of me but what can I do? Leah wanted revenge and so do I.

"I know, that's why I am asking you to help me." she took a deep breath and with just a snap of her fingers we're already back to our house where we used to stay. She went inside her room and gave me a vial of----I don't know. It’s something purple. 

"And this is?" 

"It’s a vial of celare. It conceals the true identity of anyone who drinks it." I frowned. What if it doesn't work? I mean this was just a dream, right?

"This will work right?" I asked her.

"Of course it will work. Just drink it and you'll know." 

"What? Now?" she nodded her head and I reluctantly drink the vial. I felt something inside my system like it's crawling from the deepest part of my nerves.

"Thank you Alexia. I really wanted to talk to you about your research but it’s almost morning, I need to go." 

"I know. I will contact you again maybe tonight. I haven't finished my research yet." I nodded in understanding and hugged her tight. 

"Thanks for the help." I whispered enough for her to hear. I heard her chuckled before breaking the hug.

"Oh stop acting like a crybaby. It doesn't really suit you. Goodbye Kaia. I'll see you soon.

I woke up when I felt someone near me. I flutter my eyes open and in a blink of an eye I pinned the creature to the wall making it c***k. 

"Damn Kaia it's just me." I blinked a couple of times as I recognized his voice.

"Kade don't go scaring me like that." I said as I let him go.

"I was just trying to wake you up, to get you ready for your trials. You have thirty minutes left to prepare." I mentally cursed as I grabbed my phone and looked at the time. s**t! I overslept. Its five o'clock already and my trials will start at exactly five thirty.

"Give me fifteen minutes Kade. I'll be out in a bit." he answered me with a nod and went out of my room closing the door. I took a deep breath as I shift into my wolf. 

Looking down I saw something strange. I walked inside my walk-in closet and looked at myself at the full length mirror. I gasped. It worked. Alexia's vial worked.
