Chapter 3

955 Words
In Room 808 of the Royal Feast Pavilion in Keklia Town, a man and a woman sat on a plush sofa. The man, around twenty-eight, was impeccably dressed in designer brands, exuding confidence. He had a cigar in his left hand and a glass of red wine in his right. The woman, Rosemary, had a stunning beauty that could make the goddesses envious. Around twenty-five, she had delicate features, a graceful figure, and flawless skin. She was known as the most beautiful woman in Eastoria and was also Laurel’s mother. At this moment, her eyes were red and her face was full of sorrow. And her body were trembling slightly. "Mr. Morley, please... please help me find my daughter," Rosemary pleaded and bowed before the young master. Her voice was choked with sobs. "Huh, Rosemary, I bet you never thought you'd be begging me for help, did you?" Alberta Morley sneered, then taking a puff of his cigar and blowing the smoke into her face. He continued to mock her, "You always acted so proud, looking down on guys like me. I chased you for three years, didn’t even mind you having a little bastard, and you never once gave me the time of day! What’s changed now? Why are you bowing your proud head?" "Mr. Morley, you can say whatever you want about me, just please help me..." Rosemary’s tears streamed down her face as she bowed more deeply. "I have no one else to turn to... I beg you..." "You really want my help?" Alberta's eyes roamed over her body with a predatory gaze. "What’s in it for me?" "As long as you can help me, I'll do anything..." Rosemary’s body shook. She knew exactly what he wanted, but she had no choice. Her daughter was everything to her. She was willing to give up everything to find her, including her dignity, her body, and even her life. "Anything?" Alberta’s smile twisted into something sinister. "Yes... anything..." Rosemary replied, her voice trembling. "Hah, what a slut!" Alberta laughed coldly, then his tone turned serious. "I might help you find that little bastard, but there are two conditions. First, come sit next to me and give me a taste of what I’ve been missing. Second, once your daughter is found, you’ll stay with me for a month, no questions asked." "I-I agree..." Rosemary bit her lip and nodded. "Then hurry up and get over here!" Alberta patted the empty space beside him. "Give me a massage. If you do a good job, I'll make a call and get someone to find that little brat." Alberta had heard rumors about Laurel’s disappearance, likely orchestrated by a big shot he couldn’t afford to offend. He wouldn’t tell Rosemary that, but since she was offering herself, he might as well enjoy it. "Just keep your word..." Rosemary took a deep breath and moved to sit beside Alberta. "b***h, get over here!" Before Rosemary could fully sit down, Alberta pulled her into his embrace. Boom! At that moment, the door exploded as if made of paper, showering the room with splintered wood. Junior’s figure appeared in the doorway, eyes icy and filled with raging fury, silently staring at the two on the sofa. "Ah!" Rosemary, realizing Junior’s presence, screamed and struggled out of Alberta’s grasp. "Damn it, who dares to ruin my good time? Don you want to die?" Alberta shouted angrily. As Rosemary recognized Junior, she trembled uncontrollably. Tears welled up in her eyes, reflecting a complex mix of emotions she felt: shock, resentment, grievance, and faint hope. 'How could it be him!? This man ruined my life. How could he suddenly appear?!' What had happened that night was vivid in her memory. As Eastoria's most beautiful woman and the heiress of the Jackson family, Rosemary had a promising future. Yet, everything came crashing down when she found out she was pregnant. Upon realizing her pregnancy, she found that it was already approximately three months along. Unable to bear the thought of depriving the unborn child of its right to life, she chose to keep the baby despite immense pressure. In the years since, apart from her younger sister, she faced ridicule and indifference from everyone, including her own parents. Hoping for a strategic alliance through her marriage to one of Eastoria's four major families, her grandfather was angered with that. He then expelled her branch from Jackson family. Both she and her father had worked at the Jackson Group, but now they were both unemployed. Despite their abilities, the blacklist imposed by Eastoria's major families left them struggling to find work anywhere they went. Helpless, her father repeatedly sought help from her grandfather. Eventually, in annoyance, her grandfather reluctantly allowed them to work as ordinary employees in the Keklia Town branch of the Jackson Group, where they struggled to make ends meet on meager wages. Due to this, her family of four relocated from Eastoria to Keklia Town. Over time, she adapted to this life, finding solace in the hope that her daughter would grow up healthy and happy. But fate had other plans for her. Her daughter had disappeared, a devastating blow that shattered her world. Desperate and humiliated, she had turned to Alberta, a wealthy playboy, in her darkest hour. Now, just as she felt all hope was lost, the man who had left her and she had yearned for over the past five years, returned. She wanted to rush into Junior’s arms, to pour out the bitterness and pain of these years. But Junior, storming into the room and witnessing the scene before him, simply clenched his fists tightly, staring coldly at Rosemary. "Laurel is in trouble. As her mother, didn’t you know?"
