The Nightmare Shift

Chapter #3.The Turning. Part 2.

As Nina says “My kids father passed away in a house fire.At his friend’s house Jay doesn’t really trust any older man.

That he thinks is near my age Jay is worried about my heart.

Since it has been broken in a tragic way, but the thing I don’t understand is how does my husband's friend survive?

He only had a few burns on him nothing else”

Zeke and Ash both say “Oh sorry for your loss that must have been hard’’

After a few hours Nina's kids come back home, as Jay walks through the door and Jay sees Ash drinking something red.

Jay then says “Hey what are you drinking?”

Ash then says “ I am drinking red wine if you really must know”

Jay looks carefully at the drink, as he saw that the drink got darker in the middle, and brighter on the bottom, and lighter on the top, and says “Why does the red wine you supposedly say it is, why does it get darker in the middle, brighter on the bottom and lighter on the top”

Ash then says “Because it is finely aged wine, something you will understand better when you are older”Ash goes downstairs to the basement and gets dressed into his work clothes,then walks back up to the main floor, and says “Come on Nina we have to get to work”

Nina nods her head, and walks upstairs to get dressed into her work clothes, and heads back downstairs, and says “Bye kids, remember to call me if you need anything, especially help with homework.

Love you see you when I get back home”As Nina and Ash both head to the front door,Ash shuts the door and gets into Nina’s car, and drives off to work.

5 minutes go by and Nina, and Ash arrive at the hospital, as Nina parks in the parking lot, and they both get out of the car, and Nina locks her car.

As they both head into the hospital.

But then they both saw a blood bath on the main floor, as Nina and Ash both look at each other, as they walk inside to see if anyone is alive, and also to see if it is the same on each floor.

Then they walk to section A to look in the rooms, and they check the patients, and they were all dead in section A.

As they walked to the basement, as they heard a person crying at the end of the basement hallway with dry blood already trailed all down the hallway.

Then they both follow the blood trail to the end of the hallway, as they see a person curled up in the corner with his face covered up, by his bloody hands, and his ripped pants, and his long sleeve shirt which was torn beyond fixing.

Nina then walks up to the guy, as the guy suddenly says in a upset and scared voice “Please go I don’t want to hurt anyone else please just go”

As Nina walks up closer, as the guy then claws at Nina’s chest, as Nina growls and her eyes glow purple, and her wolf teeth come out as Nina transforms into her wolf form, as she starts growling at the guy.

She bares her teeth at him, angry at the guy.

The guy then says “I am so sorry I didn’t mean to. I can’t control myself.

I don’t even know what I am?I barely remember what happened, but it kills me to think about what I did to those innocent people”

Ash then says “It’s okay, now Nina please stop growling.You know what he is going through as well, you barely can control yourself, so take it easy on him” 

Ash walks up to the guy and says “Just breathe I will find out a way to help you.Do you have a place to stay?And what is your name?”

The guy then says “Pyro and yes I do have a place to stay.C-Can you Please tell me what is going on with me?”

Ash then says “Okay why don’t you head to your place, and I will check on you later to see if you are holding up.

Right now I honestly don’t know what you are.

Just go home and go for a shower to wash the blood off,and get some sleep”

Pyro then gets up shakily, and walks out of the hospital, as all the blood suddenly disappeared when Pyro left the building, and all the patients who were all supposedly dead.

Came back to life as their normal selves, but then they heard a screaming sound coming from Max’s room.

A screaming sound like he was being tortured, and then it went quiet, but you could only hear his footsteps.

Max then says in a deep growling voice “Nina you shouldn’t be with a vampire that can kill you whenever he wants to.I can protect you better than that vampire you call a friend”As Max shifted into his black wolf form with a pure black eye, and a glowing red eye, as Max ran up to Ash and clawed Ash in the chest deeply, and knocked Ash out cold.

Max then walked up to Nina, and shifted back into his human form and sprinkled something over Nina.

That made her fall asleep, as Max picked her up, and brought her into an empty room, and placed her down gently, and put a barrier across the door to get in, as he then closed the door.

As the dust wore off and Nina woke up, as she looked around and saw Max standing in front of the door,then all of a sudden Nina’s phone started ringing.

Max then turned around and grabbed Nina’s phone, and says “Sorry your mom isn't. She is too busy at work right now.

I am your mothers friend. She wanted me to tell you that now why don’t you guys go to bed now”As Max hangs up Nina’s phone.

Jay suddenly says “Rose go up to bed I will be back soon”As Jay runs out the front door and runs all the way to the hospital.

After a few minutes go by, Jay arrives at the hospital and heads inside, and checks the sheet,then runs to section A.

He runs past the rooms while looking in the rooms, as he suddenly sees Ash out cold on the ground, with a claw mark, on his chest with blood coming out of his chest.

Jay wakes Ash up and says “Where is my Mom I heard some guy talking on her phone so tell me where”

Ash then says “I don’t know something attacked me a few minutes ago, and I haven’t seen your mom since”

Ash got up weakly and looked around into each room,Ash then says “In here this room”Ash goes to grab the door handle, as it just started burning his hand and half his arm.

Max looks over at the door, as he looks through the window, and says “Is that your son Nina?He looks like he could be a great apprentice of mine”

Nina then says “No please don’t turn my son,I want him to live a normal life with no worries or problems.

So you better leave him alone or I will kill you”

Max then says “You're not even in full control of your wolf, but I know your son will.Also I am your Alpha you don’t command me around”As Max opens the door and throws Ash.

So hard against the wall that it knocks him out again.He then closes the door and locks it so Nina can’t escape, as Max walks up to Jay, as Jay starts backing up and when he has no more wall to back up to.

He then books it running to the main floor.

Max smiles and says “Why do they always run?It only makes the chase more fun”As Max transforms into his wolf form and books it running after Jay.

As Max gets to the main floor he spots Jay and goes to pounce on him.

But then suddenly Nina comes to the rescue, in her wolf form and pounces on Max, and bites him, taking him down to the ground pinning him.

As Nina growls and bites more at Max.

Max then bites Nina on her shoulder, releasing his Alpha wolf venom into Nina’s blood, as Nina falls to the ground whining in pain.

In that time Jay has already ran outside, and now he is booking it home.

But then out of nowhere he sees a bright light coming from the forest, as he heads to it, and sees the bright light dimming.

As the bright light turns to a guy with big white wings coming out of his back and Jay suddenly says “Who are you?Am I dreaming?”

The angel then says “No you aren’t dreaming I am very much real, and in a matter of a fact you are in serious danger.

You have to come with me so I can keep you safe”

Jay then says “NO my sister is at home by herself I told her I would be back home soon, and I have no clue what is even going on.

I had to leave my mom behind so I can get away from that guy, and I don’t know if my mom even is okay”

The angel then says “Your mom will be fine right now, she is stronger than you know, and your sister is already protected.

So come on I don’t have too much longer to save your life”As the angel touches Jay’s hand, and brings Jay to a safe, and secure spot in the sky on a cloud with a solid house.

Jay looks out the window as he backs up to the wall.

The angel suddenly says “Are you afraid of heights?”

Jay then says “What do you think?Just please take me to my mother I want to help her”

The angel then says “I am sorry but I can’t take you to your mom right now.

It is too dangerous for you right now.

I will take you back when it hits dawn just try to get some sleep here.

Right now you have school tomorrow, so you have to get a goodnight sleep”

Jay then says “ I will not fall asleep, I want to save my mom take me to the hospital NOW!”

As the angel walks up to Jay, and makes him fall asleep until he has a good night’s rest.

After a while goes by, the angel hears howls, as the sun then comes up.

The angel takes away the memories of talking to Jay, and taking him to this place the angel, wipes those memories to keep Jay safe.As the angel brings Jay down to the ground and brings him to his house and puts him in his bed safe and sound and flies off out of the house. 

Back at the hospital.

Nina goes to Ash and bandages up his wound on his chest,Ash gets up and he carries Nina very gingerly out of the hospital, and puts her in the passenger seat,Ash gets in the driver’s seat and drives Nina back to her house.

5 minutes go by, and Ash parks in the driveway, and gets out, and picks Nina back up,then locks the car, and heads into the house.

Then he goes upstairs and puts Nina in her bed,then goes to the main floor and prepares Rose’s, and Jay’s lunches.

As he finishes making it a few minutes ago, and puts their lunches in their backpacks, and wakes Nina’s kids up, and gets them ready for school.

After a few minutes went by,Jay and Rose grabbed their backpacks, and headed on the school bus.

Once they left Ash went upstairs to check on Nina, to see how she was feeling from last night, so he could see what he could do.

Ash walks up to the side of Nina’s bed, and Ash says “Hey Nina how are you feeling from last night?”

Nina then says “Not good I barely got any sleep. I was in too much pain.

I do not know what’s happening to me on the inside.

Sometimes it is hard to breathe, but I am dealing with it I just need to heal and relax, and I don’t think I should go to work tonight”

Ash nods his head and says “Very well I guess I am staying here as well, because I need to keep an eye on you to see if anything happens to you, and also so your kids don’t know what you are”

Nina then says “I will be fine, you can go to work, I know how to control myself around my kids I just need to get up, and get something to eat.

I will be fine just let me get up”

As Nina goes to sit up and goes to get off her bed as she winces in pain trying to hold it in trying to be strong.

Nina starts walking down the stairs taking it slow, and steady down the stairs.

A few minutes went by, Nina made it all the way down the stairs safe, and sound, but as she reached the main floor.

The pain in her shoulder kicked in again, as she then started hearing loud whispers in her head telling her what to do, as the loud whispers in her head says “Kill the vampire before he kills you,You cannot let the vampire win if you don’t do it the vampire will end up killing you or you will end up killing yourself.

From the poison of the Alpha bite you have to.

Also kill the Alpha that bit you for the poison to go away NOW KILL THE VAMPIRE”Nina’s eyes suddenly turn a dark purple, as the whispers in her head made her transform slowly and painfully, as Nina started to scream in pain, as she tries to hold her pain in.

Ash comes running down the stairs and says “Nina what is happening?Are you okay?”

As Nina says in excruciating pain “Ash run very far away I don’t want to hurt you.Please just go I will come find you when this is all done, and do not head to the hospital just run away NOW”As Nina transforms into her wolf form, as she whines trying to fight the urge, as the whispers in her head get too loud for her to handle as it takes control over Nina.

Nina is then forced to growl and bare her teeth at Ash, as Nina pounces at Ash.

 Ash’s fangs come out,as he runs off as fast as he could go, as the pain on his chest is always kicking in at random times.

Ash suddenly stops from the pain, as he looks back in the direction that he ran far away from Nina, as he thought about Nina’s kids and how.

Nina would put her own kids in danger.

Back at Nina’s place Nina walks out back, and ran to the hospital as she half shifted into her human form,she walked downstairs to the basement and walks to Max’s room,as she shifts fully back into her wolf form, as she pounces on Max and rips Max’s throat, and heart out of his body.

As Nina then walks out of the hospital in her human form, and walks home with blood on the palms of her hands.

After a few minutes pass by, Nina gets back home and she goes directly to the washroom, and washes the blood off her palms.

Then all of a sudden Nina’s kids walk through the door, as Jay hears the water running in the bathroom, as he goes into the washroom and sees blood on Nina’s palms.

Jay then says in fear “Mom why is there blood on your palms What Did You Do?”

Nina then says “I tripped today while I was going for a walk I just cut my hands no need to worry”

Jay then says “There are no cuts on your palms YOUR LYING”
