Episode 58-Reaching for Angelique

1567 Words
Back in Helen's Resistance Crew.... "Mom what are you talking about?" Helen worried while staring at the queen who kept looking at Crystal rather strangely. "I can't feel Angelique Helen, she's like...she isn't there or so far away" The queen briefed. "But how could that have happened?" Helen worried as everyone of them now made Crystal a center of attraction. "Something must have gone wrong when we were trying to safe her...we have to bring her back- "But how can she be lost in her void?" Helen just seem to have even more questions each time. "Because it's not her void but a void created by me...but the void is different from her memories. If she's lost in her memories it's worst, she will forget who she was, and the longer she stay there the more it will be get her out; it was the only consequences hiding a soul in another body has" The queen sounded guilty. 'She should be' Helen think to herself. "You knew this could happen?" Helen scoffed out in disbelief. "Only in worst scenarios, as long as the soul wasn't disturbed...she was going to be fine. Why do you think I chose a human to hide her " The queen said in her defense. "I don't know mom; so what should we do now?" Helen fully turned to her mother whom everyone seems to be counting on that issue. "Angela...you are the only person except from her brothers who can reach her...if she's lost in the void I made, she'll be more easy to bring back...you just age to find her and trace back your steps but if she's lost in her memories...it'll be more difficult to bring her back because, she'll be living that memory and you just have to draw her out of it. It can simulate the real world, she will probably have her powers and everything will seem real but you have to hold unto your sense of being...a purpose that keep you attached to this world...since you don't exist in her world you'll probably not get lost in it as well but still...hold on tightly to your sense of being, that way you'll be able to find her and bring her back...she's likely to resist but you have to make her remember...she's just lost- "Does she really have to do this?" Alex worried standing up and walking up to Helen to stand beside her. "I don't seem like I have much of a choice here" Helen heaved out heavily. "You have to believe that I do not wish for something like this to happen at this time I wish I would be talking to Angelique since actually I still have a lot to explain to her...this put me in a little bit of a situation as well" The queen explained and Helen sighed before looking at Crystal whose brows have creased in cluelessness. 'Poor girl' Helen thought before she exhaled deeply as she also tried to think of what to do. "So, how my supposed to enter into her void or memories? I would I know which one she's lost in?" Helen rained her questions at her mother who walked up to her and hold her hands. "Since before you were born, you've had connection to her...you'll have to use that connection. You'll be automatically taken there once you can successfully connect to her in your subconsciousness. She's always being the one drawing you into hers have you ever tried to go into her subconsciousness willingly?" Helen shook her head but paused. "Once but it was an accident, I didn't really had any idea how I got there because she claimed she hadn't called me there. I thought it felt strange but-" Helen paused and turned to Crystal. "But it did happened" She completed recalling all she did back then was place and over Crystal's chest and she instantly found herself with her. "Do you remember how it happened?" The queen inquired and Helen nodded. "I really wish I was the one going into her memories but I would no doubt get lost in it..so, I have to leave this to you Helen. Bring her back" The queen pleaded and Helen nodded before standing in front of Crystal whose heartbeat was now racing since she had no idea what they were going to do to her. "It won't hurt" Crystal assured before placing a palm over her chest and closing her eyes. "Is it working?" Someone voiced from the people around her. "Just that...placing a palm on her chest? I was expecting something more" Jasper was the one who spoke this time. "How will it work if you guys refuse to keep your mouth shut!" Helen got mad and everyone automatically goes silent so she was finally able to concentrate and slowly, she fell unconsciousness until her body went limp and she collapsed almost instantly. "She's not it her now" The queen declared immediately Alex caught her so she wouldn't hit the ground. *** Helen found herself back in the palace, murmurs filled the palace and everywhere was bubbling with life and activities, smile and laughter filled the air as everyone chatted away, beside the queen was Angelique with Kyrio, the queen at one side. Angelique was smiling and laughing with their mother and she looked really happy she eventually stood with the queen. She was wearing a white dress, with vail around her head, she looked pretty stunning with the jewelries she had on. She wore a happy look on her face and she felt fulfilled but no long after she stood the queen stood and together they walked out of the banquet hall towards the open balcony which looked a lot older than the present one Helen was familiar with. 'It seems the palace had undergone some renovations since this time' Helen concluded in her head before she started following the two important family she recognized at the party but soon two boys that looked extremely alike but so young, not probably more than 18 came gliding out of the hall looking tipsy. They were dressed in the old fashioned English way for the 1830's something Elena wouldn't easily figure out if she wasn't majoring in history. Both boys warbling their way down the hallway and towards Helen's were dressed in Ruff, Doublet, Cuffs, Breeches, Garters, Stockings and old leather shoes that showed the level of advancement of that Era. "Great divine is that that Opal and Sapphire?" Helen muttered under her breath as the two boys walked past her in a drunken daze, Helen decided to ignore them and walked towards Angelique and her mother who were chatting away like best friends, Helen started to wonder where thing had go wrong between the two since they look really close before. "Mother...I might have something to tell you" Helen guess on the spot; it was where things started going on. "I found my mate" 'I knew it' Helen muttered to herself. Why would Angelique revisited the memory? She wondered. "Angelique?" She called to her but she seems to be engrossed in her conversation with her mother. "Angelique!?" She called a little louder even going far to trying to hold her but she was just a mist so her hands went through. "What am I thinking? This is nothing but a memory" Helen muttered to herself before she heard someone running off. "Angelique" she called out without thinking before running after the shadowy figure that had suddenly run off. "Sister" She kept calling as raced down the stairs hoping to catch up with her but she suddenly disappeared and then the view started to change, Helen considered it might be because she's revisiting another memory and she needed to find her fast. This time the memory was when Angelique was at war with some strange demon breed, one do the demon had struck a young guy that had strange resemblance with Opal. "Lynn" Angelique shouted while jumping down from her dragon and racing to someone Helen slowly figured out was her brother. "Lynn...look at me, you'll be alright" Angelique sobbed while pulling away the longs strands of hair off Lynn's face since he was wearing his hair long. 'Lynn...please, don't leave me too" Angelique sobbed as she watched Lynn gagged out blue blood...which means his power was still running through when he was killed. "I'm sorry" Lynn apologized before he went limp making Angelique go crazy with fury a long painful shout from her resulted to all the demons bursting like overblown balloon. Angelique didn't stop and kept weeping. Then Helen felt a the scene changed again, this time it was Angelique angrily walking away from a young girl, she also looked younger and this young girl looked so much like her, they seems to have just finish arguing and Angelique was leaving in anger until. "Unique" The girl called out with blood on her tongue looking terrified as she fell to her knees. "Glynn" Helen got it, the three siblings Angelique had lost, Lynn, Glynn, Flynn and they had all died in her arms...Helen couldn't help but sympathize with her, she also couldn't bear to lose any of her siblings at that point, Helen was also sobbing herself when something hit her in the head and she passed out but as her subconsciousness fades, she saw a figure of Angelique staring down at her. ----------------
