Crystal stared worriedly at Damian who seem to be bullied even in the basketball court, they refused to pass him the ball and seizing him the chance to ever make a shot; it was really starting to unnerve Damian and starting to upset Crystal that she started to eat on her fingers while nervously shaking her legs while biting down on her lips immediately her fingers are away from her mouth.
“You don’t have to be so nervous about basketball-
“It’s like they are intentionally ganging up on him; that isn’t feat” Crystal instantly retorted Helen who knew just what the problem is, Damian though being amongst the basketball team playing for the school looked pretty lost on the field because he have no idea who he was playing with right then; even is team seem to be totally against him.
Helen understanding the situation decided to interfere…right before one of Crystal’s field players that has the ball could pass the ball to another player Helen made him slip by freezing the ground making the blonde player accidently pass the ball to Damian who was shocked, apparently all the other players were…it was like they had an agreement not to pass him the ball but Damian was pretty happy to have caught the ball and immediately started to bounce, swerving and dodging their opponents while heading for their net and within a few minutes he scored a point, Crystal unconsciously screamed out in excitement for him scoring a point and the fact that just few people cheered for Damian made her so obvious that she suddenly felt a little embarrassed for yelling so loud but it made Damian smile in the court as Crystal slowly took her seat.
“You really do like him, don’t you?” Helen questioned as Crystal returned to concentrating on the game.
“A little I guess” Crystal responded absentmindedly while watching the game with all her attention something Helen found fascinating until one of the players was replaced by a demon sitting on the side bench of the court.
“Can my day get any worse?” Crystal rode her eyes while still paying attention but Helen saw something else.
“He’s a demon that feeds off pain, we have to take him off the court” Crystal instantly turned to her new angel friend who seem pretty worried while staring into the court in concern.
“How bad can it be?” Crystal questioned while looking back at the players. The new boy who had hairy neck and claws as he started playing while trying to steal the boy pushed a player who immediately fell and started groaning earning the referee’s attention while everyone else gasped out and stare with a worried look.
“That bad; we have to get him off that court…he’ll keep injuring the players while feeding off their pain, he will hurt them” Helen worried but Crystal was unyielding until Damian got hurt after the game resumed at the injured player was taken out of the court. Crystal stood and walked backstage to check on Damian.
“Hey, you okay?” Crystal questioned Damian immediately she saw him come out of the basketball court, groaning.
“I don’t know, my arms hurt like hell” It finally downed on Crystal what exactly Helen meant, she turned back to meet Helen’s knowing gaze pretty aware she had followed her when she walked from the courtside to the other part of the court. Helen sighed and walked to check Damian’s injured hand which was about to be tended to by the school nurse.
“How bad does it hurt?” Helen inquired looking back into the field to see the new boy with eyes like that of a cat, it was glowing lemon sort of light, he was feeding on their pain and it was making Helen pretty mad.
“Terribly, I felt like I fall from a tower or something…I gotta go take care of this” Damian excused himself and walked down to the nurse that had been waiting to tend to him.
“The pain won’t stop except he stops what he’s doing” Helen informed Crystal who was glaring dangerously at the guy and would have ran into the court if Helen hadn’t stopped her by pushing her by the chest, an action that had another effect on both of them, a light glow emitted as brief as brief as the touch itself.
“What was that?” Crystal frowned and Helen’s eyes furrowed tightly.
“I don’t know” Helen replied with a low voice that was almost inaudible to be heard but Crystal was close enough...the game called an halftime and all the players took a break.
“This is our chance, you have to approach him Crystal…he’ll sense my aura…that won’t be good…lure him away-
“He looks like he’s heading for the bathroom” Crystal guessed as the new boy who wouldn’t be more than 17 judging from his look and physique. He had a shiny blonde hair which was too shiny to be just hair if they were to ask Helen.
“So, how are we supposed to get him from going back to the court?” Crystal questioned.
“Lure him to a lonely place, I’ll handle him” Helen confidently say staring as the boy slowly headed away.

Crystal took another path away from the basketball court and head straight for the boy locker rooms where the boy had entered, Crystal groaned as the stink of masculine stench hit her nose which she immediately scrunch up her nose as she took a turn around the block of lockers that stood on her way but then she saw something swiftly moved past her; too fast for her to make out but Crystal didn’t think it was important until she felt a presence behind her then she slowly turned to see a terrifying figure of the new kid.
“Hey” Crystal let out a nervous breath as she tried to compose herself because she knew better that the terrifying cat figure that the guy had on was to scare her if actually she could see him for who he truly is.
“I saw you back there…you were amazing” Crystal faked a warm dreamy smile she had earlier catch on Helen’s face, the new player slowly transformed back into the young blonde boy that he was.
“I…I’m Crystal” Crystal gestured her hand forward and the blonde boy took it.
“I’m Connor, Connor Raymond” The boy smiled and whilst shaking swiftly tightened Crystal’s hand giving Crystal even more discomfort as the grip tightened.
“Ow” Crystal grimaced while twitching her face in reaction to Connor’s action.
“I’m sorry did that hurt…didn’t mean to hurt you there-
“It’s okay I’m fine” Crystal lied feeling the pain in her hand escalated the moment she released Connor’s hand. Crystal saw his eyes dilated and glinted as he pain become worse then suddenly subsided right when Connor’s eyes returned back to the normal cat eyes he has but right before Connor turned he was knocked hard against the locker so hard that the locker dented.
“What do we have here?” Connor devilishly smiled as she stared towards the door and Crystal slowly followed her gaze to see Helen standing by the door with her hand engulfed by water.
“I detest demons like you the most” Helen fiercely and spitefully mutter as she build a long ice sword while moving fast to attack Connor who hissed and back and bared his claws ready for attack.
“Get out of here Crystal and shut the door behind you-
“You possibly think you can keep me here…they’ll come looking for me; I just have to stall until their arrival” Connor laughed wearing a smug expression on his face as he swiftly moved around the several blocks of lockers. Helen could almost not catch him. He was far too fast and before she spot him again she was thrown across the room, her whole body hitting the lockers at the end of the locker room making her groan out in pain.
“How pathetic…you seriously think you can catch me; I’m a demon of cats descendents and I’m very fast and strong-
“That I’ve done in demon history classes” Helen groaned softly while standing up to her feet.
“And you’re stupid to think your strength and speed will be enough to safe you right now-
“You’re weak, the chaos is weakening you and I can see it” Connor said with a satisfied grin plastered on her face.
“To be honest, it’s different for we royals” Helen smiled seeing the blonde texture and colour of hair starting to peel away leaving it pure while.
“Oh, so this is the infamous Princess Angela, Queen Vera would pay bountifully for your head” Connor snarled.
“You wish” Angela spat and Connor growled at her immediately running to attack her but the floor freezes and Connor immediately slipped and before he could regain composure he felt his leg being frozen to the ground.
“How does this feels like Connor?” Angela questioned as she penetrated his hands with ice sparks that would have made Connor scream pretty loudly if Helen hadn’t frozen his mouth. Helen kept growing spikes all over his body watching as he writhes and struggles in pain while black blood spilled from every wound and puncture Helen gave him but she didn’t stop torturing him until she heard Crystal’s voice from outside.
“Sorry I can’t let you go in there” Crystal seems to be trying to stop someone from entering into the locker room.
“It’s time to finish this then” Helen muttered taking out her flaming spear which she immediately punctured Connor’s heart next slowly watching him pulverise then controlled the water from the tap to clean up his remains and blood.
“You seriously can’t go in” Crystal seems to have a trouble holding back those at the door and before she knew it the forced their way in, right when Helen zipped her jeans and grabbed her jacket.
“What are you doing in here?” One of boys from the other school inquired while they all stare suspiciously at Helen.
“Sorry, but I was changing…you know; girls stuff” The boy instantly wore guilty faces on realising they had almost barged in on her.
“We are so sorry” One of the boys sweetly apologised.
“Don’t be-
“Was that why your friend was outside?” The boys turned to look at Crystal who was also looking as confused as they all are.
“Yes, sorry I had to use your locker room…it was urgent” Helen sweetly and innocently spoke before hurrying her way out dragging Crystal with her.
“So did you manage to…you know…stop him?” Crystal as they hastily walked down the tiny hallways that lead back to the basketball court.
“Yes I did manage to stop him but that wouldn’t be-” Helen froze as a heavy feeling of freedom hit her making her hair which had now turned back to normal got swept by the passing breeze as she closed her eyes feeling all her power surging back in.
“My phoenix is back” She declared excitedly while opening her eyes that glinted bright blue.
