03 - Alpha's Proctect Their Own

The next morning, Diana woke up a little late than usual. She touched and felt her knee through the bandage. It was pretty much healed and she would be fine by evening. Getting out of bed, she freshened up and laid her outfits on the bed. She got into a tank top and shorts and walked downstairs, with the aid of clutches. She went straight to the laundry room and began her task for the day.

As she was drying the clothes, Clarissa walked into the room with her entourage. She looked her up and down, her jealousy rising by the second at how beautiful she looked. She was happily eating her breakfast when she heard the pack boys talking about how sexy the alpha's daughter looked in her change of clothes.

She dumped some of her clothes on the floor and said "I want this washed, dried, and ironed by the time I'm back from school."

"Understood?" She asked

"I've heard you" Diana replied not sparing her a glance. This infuriated Clarissa even more making her feel the need to show her superiority.

She jabbed Diana by the shoulder turning her by force. The force made Diane stumble a bit but she was able to maintain her balance by holding onto the sink.

Clarissa looked her in the eye and grabbed her hair saying "when I ask you a question, answer properly".

Adding more pressure, she pulled Diana's hair back asking " what should her answer had been girls?"

"Understood" they replied looking at Diana

Satisfied, she smiled, released Diana's hair, and grabbed her chin forcefully squeezing hard. Looking at Diana, she saw the tears that were piled up in her eyes and it made her happy. Smiling, she knew she would be happier if the tears she was trying so had to hold in will fall off her cheeks.

She looked at her entourage who were standing behind Diana, guiding their attention to the bandage on her knees. Smirking she asked, "Do you understand what your answer should have been?"

"Yes, I understand" Diana answered courtly hoping it would be enough for Clarissa.

Clarissa flipped her hair and gave her entourage a signal as she walked past Diana.

Kate one of Clarissa's entourage pushed Diana making her pall to the floor with her knees hitting the cold white tiles.

The pain she felt on the impact made her whole body ache to make her release an ear-shattering scream that shook the whole packhouse and the earth beneath it.

The pain was a thousand times greater than when she broke the leg last night. Her knee throbbed in fast motion as if she was been hit by 10 hammers all at once.

Her tears flew out of her eyes uncontrollably like water from a tap. She turned to her back, holding her leg as she let it all out wailing loudly.

Clarissa seeing her pain felt as good as new as she turned to leave the room. At that moment, Stephan rushed in with his beta and gamma as more pack members gathered at the door.

Looking at Clarissa, Julius didn't need a Sharman to know that his sister was behind whatever just happened. He walked straight to her and dragged her out by the ear.

Stephan and Jasper knelt beside Diana who was a crying mess. On seeing the bandage on her knee, Stephan felt an arrow piercing through his heart as he glared at Jasper.

Jasper looked down in shame and said "I'll go get the Luna."

Putting his ego aside, Stephan nodded and carried Diana to her room. He gently laid her down on the bed as their mom walked into the room. She rushed to her side and helped her sit up. Mary sat beside her on the bed and pulled her into a hug as Jasper walked into the room with Jordan and Amelia.

"I don't why you refuse to listen, I already told you that you would have to rest for a week" Amelia scolded as she unwrapped the bandage.

The leg was swollen and there was blood coming from a fresh wound that was caused by the fall. Sighing, Amelia dressed the wound, massaged the leg, and gave her some painkillers.

"You aren't allowed to leave your room for the next week" Stephan commanded in an alpha tone and stormed out of the room.

Rest up baby" Mary said and left the room followed by Jordan.

"Don't get up for the next few days. Just let it heal Diana, it will take a lot more time to heal especially without a wolf" Amelia said, gave her a peck on the forehead, and walked out of the room.

Jasper claimed into the bed and cuddled her. He had no idea what to say but he knew without a shadow of a doubt that she needed the hug.

Feeling safe in his embrace, Diana couldn't wait to turn 18 and recognize him as her mate. She felt so lucky to be his as she slowly relaxed with that thought of being his mate. She had no idea when she fell asleep but when she woke up, all she could think of was Stephan.

She looked up at Jasper to find him admiring her. She looked down feeling bashful when she suddenly remembered why she looked at him in the first place.

Taking a deep breath in and out, she looked at him again and said "Go check on Stephan for me please"

"Why?" Jasper asked

"No reason, I just want to know" she replied giving him the puppy eye look.

Unable to deny her request, Jasper got out of bed and walked out of the room.

On closing the door, he heard a loud bang noise coming from below them and rushed to check it out.

Right below them, at the betas wing, Stephan just kicked Clarissa's door off of its hinges. He rushed to her, wrapping his palm around her neck, he lifted her off the ground. All he could think of was snapping her neck but that would be way too easy.

Julius rushed to him to stop him but he kicked Julius, sending him to the other side of the room.

As Julius got up to defend his sister, Stephan threw her to him, making the both of them fall with another crash.

"Alpha!" Jasper screamed as he rushed to restrain Stephan.

"Let me go, Jasper, I have to teach this two a lesson," Stephan said as he struggled through Jaspers grip.

"I can't do that Alpha" Jasper replied tightening his hold on Stephan

In the entire pack, Jasper is the only wolf who would spar against Stephan and stand a chance to win. He was holding him tightly and Stephan was not willing to force his way out of his grip for fear of hurting him. Jasper wasn't just Stephan's best friend but also his sister's boyfriend and most favorite person.

Not willing to back out of the fight, Stephan used his Alpha command on him saying "Let go! And Stay Away!"

Jasper let him go unable to go after him, he couldn't make his way to him no matter how hard he struggled.

Stephan walked to Julius and lifted him by the collar. He looked at his best friend of 20 years and all he could feel was rage and betrayal. He has been aware that Clarissa was bullying his sister yet he never mentioned it to him.

He felt betrayed so he raised his hands to throw another punch when he was pulled away from him. Turning back with rage, he felt a thunderous slap on his face as he was dragged out of the room.

Looking at his mate, he had no idea how to get angry and if he could even be mad at her.

"What were you thinking?!" She scolded

"An alpha should never treat his pack members like that"

"An alpha protects his own and that's what doing." Stephan retorted

"Exactly, Alphas protect their own and those two are part of your pack"

"What then do you expect me to do? Sit back and pretend am not pissed?"

"No, do what a just Alpha would do" Amelia replied, kissed him, and walked away.
