I lean my head on Leo's shoulders. His body gets tensed immediately. "I hope you do not mind me resting on you for a while. I feel emotionally depleted of all my energy." I say to Leo who immediately relaxes. His fingers proceed to massage my head.

"No worries." He says.

I wish he were my mate. He is much more sweet. I have not seen my mate's face but I already know he is an asshole.

"So, did you ask that question because you have found your mate?" Leo asks, his voice tight with an emotion I cannot identify. It is almost as if I am compelled to answer him. His presence is soothing, his voice, even though it has an edge to it, is also soothing.

"Yes." I answer honestly but he gets rigid instantly.

"Oh." He says.

"Yep. But I am not sure if he wants me." I say. " I mean he covered my eyes so that I would not see him and he made his voice heavy so that I will not recognize him if I hear his voice somewhere."

"Then he is not deserving of you." Leo says, his words makes my stomach feel funny. It feels like Leo is my mate instead of that asshole.

"The asshole said if it was not for the bond, he would not have even come to look for me." I complain. I just feel like I can vent out my problems to him and he will not blame or judge me.

"He is not worth your time if that is what he said." Leo says through gritted teeth. He holds my hand and gives it an assuring squeeze. "Are you going to be busy tomorrow?"

"Not all day. We have a pack run in the morning, after which the guys and I are going to Burger King. But I am free after that. Did you know that Ronny found his mate?" I inform excitedly, there is something just trustworthy about Leo.

"I did not know that." He replies, his voice holding an essence of a smile.

"I know right. Who would have thought that d**k head would find his mate so soon." I chuckle. "But I am happy for him. He deserves it."

"I'm glad." Leo says " so can I take you out tomorrow, after you guys are done with whatever it is you are going to do at Burger King?" He asks.

"Sure. What do you want to go and do?" I ask.

"Let us watch a movie. Maybe avengers the endgame." He suggests.

"Have you not watched it?" I look at him as if he is mad. How is it possible that he has not watched it. He can not be serious. He only replies by laughing at me.

"I have. I just like it." He says, his smile reaching his eyes.

"Yh. There is a Cinema near Burger King, we can go there." I suggest.

"I will meet you there then, since you will be closer at that time." He says.

"Ok."

I feel a probing inside my head. I open the mind link when I realize someone is trying to get to me.

"Hey, dude where are you?" Ronny asks through the link.

"Outside. Why?"

"It is almost 12:00am. Your parents are going and they are looking for you."

"Ok. I am coming." I say then close the link before I turn to look at Leo who is intently looking at me.

"I have to go." I say. He looks a bit sad at that but smiles nonetheless.

"Okay. See you tomorrow then." He says.

"Yh. See you tomorrow." I reply with pink cheeks, my heart doing summersaults as I anticipate his soft lips on my cheeks ones again. And he does not disappoint. My cheeks are pink when I leave him there with a knowing smirk on his lips. It is as if when I am with him, I do not feel the pain I felt when my mate indirectly rejected me.

If he does not want me, then there is no need for me to inform anyone. To me he does not exist. I am not going to let him talk trash of me and then beg him to accept me. There are a lot of guys here whom I am sure will be extremely grateful if I date them.

"Where were you?" Dad asks when I get in the car. Everyone is already here, I guess they were waiting for me to come.

"It was suffocating inside so I went to get some breather." I say while strapping myself in. It is always very necessary to do so. Supernaturals may heal fast and are not so easy to kill but some injuries are there that we can not heal completely from. Like a broken leg or hand, it may heal, but you will not be able to walk properly. You will always be limping.

"For a social creature, you do not like being in a crowded area one bit." Dad comments and starts the car.

It is true what he just said. I do not despise being in crowded areas but if I stay there for a long period of time, it gets suffocating. That is why I only have two friends. But I have three friends now if you count Lyca. She is Ronny's mate so it goes without saying it.

When we get home I make a beeline for my room. I wash up and put on a boxer briefs and t-shirt, then come back down to get something to eat, it may be 12am but that does not stop me from being hungry.

"Ronny, did you see Ben at the party?" Mom asks when she steps into the kitchen for a cup of water, making me stiff with nerves and anxiety.

"N..no." I stammer. Why am I even anxious? I ask myself. What I am saying is true. I did not see the guy, as if I would want to see him.

"Hmmmm..that is strange, we could not find him after his father made a speech. He was acting weird when the Alpha was making the speech." Mom says. "Anyway, goodnight. I feel so drained." She says kissing my other cheek, as if she knows someone already kissed the other cheek.

"Sure mom. Goodnight."

After eating a sandwich and drinking some water I go back into my room and throw myself on the bed. Not ones did the thought of my ungrateful mate enter my mind. Only the face of one handsome vampire is in my mind's eye.
