"Amara."
Amara almost jumped when she heard the choice from behind. She was about to unlocked their house door but she stopped upon hearing this familiar voice. Amara slowly turned her head to see the man behind her.
"Prince Stanley, good evening," she greeted him with much respect and even bowed her head. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm sorry for the offer that the council have given you---"
"You don't need to ask an apology, Prince Stanley. That offer didn't cause any damages to me and to my best friend. We're safe and there was nothing bad happened," she responded.
Amara's eyes narrowed when she spotted how the Prince cracked a smile while looking at her. It bother's her why the heck this Prince is here.
"If that so, I am glad to hear that. Honestly, I also do believe that you have the capability of being part of the royal team but I respected your choice. I respected your choice not to be in our team," said the Prince and bothers her even more.
"We don't fit in your team, Prince Stanley and that is why we declined," she responded carefully. "By the way, do you need anything?" she asked him for it was the first time that the Prince approaches her right in front of their own home.
Gillian have directly went straight to their home the moment they stepped inside the class 2 village's gate. Now, another Holiester that she need to give an attention for she didn't forget their gap of living in this world.
"There was nothing important. I just want to make sure that you have get home safe, Amara." The Prince answered.
"What you mean?" she asked narrowing her eyes.
Although she knew that Demons would attact anytime in Holy Land, she never felt in danger her whole life in the evening roaming around class 2 village.
"Nothing. You have to get inside now, the night isn't young anymore. I am pretty sure that your mom was probably waiting for you," again said the Prince.
Amara stared at him for a moment and when the Prince smiled at her so wide, she blinked with that and looked down before looking back at the Prince.
"Thank you, Prince Stanley. I'm going now," she responded. She then lay her hand in the lock of their house and did unlocked it. While doing the thing, she was still feeling the man standing behind her and wondering why the f*ck this man isn't leaving yet.
Prince Stanley was looking at her while opening the door of their house and she opened it widely for her to get inside. However, when she felt that the Prince didn't move a bit, she stopped from there. Whatever she was doing she turned to see the Prince behind her.
"No wonder why you are the chosen one," said the Prince that added to the things that bothers her.
"Chosen one? Of what?" she asked, narrowing her eyes.
"Nothing. Goodnight, Amara," said the Prince and suddenly left no traces.
Amara blinked several times trying to play in her mind what was just happened.
She was thinking so deep of what was the Prince mean. Or maybe, he meant about the Director's decision of making her and Gillian join the royal team. She looked back as she heard her mom stood up from her bed.
"Amara, I thought you will be home late," said her mom. She walked closer to her mother and kissed her cheek. "Did you and Gillian went to the mountain?"
She shook her head that made her mom knotted it's forehead. She smiled to give her mother the chance of putting her forehead back to it's wrinkles-less.
"We didn't go to the mountain, mom," she answered and stopped right there. She looked at her mom and it seems like her mother was waiting for her to finish what she wanted to hear. "The Director sent the royal team here to summon me and Gillian to the council room."
"Why? They need anything from the two of you?" her mom asked and was so sounded interested.
Her mom never asked questions that is obviously nonsense but would always ask question thay is needed to answer and when it comes to her safety. This time, she knew why she was asked for the reason of invitation of the Director to the council room. Her mom knows what it is with a communication with the royal. Her mom knows that it won't do good.
She stared at her mother and gave her the smile pf assurance to tell her that she handled it well and that she wasn't hurt or anything bad happened to her are impossible.
"The director and the council asked me and Gillian to join the royal team every mission," she answered.
She caught how her mom stiffened for a moment and when she got realized what she just heard, she immediately switches into something doesn't have an emotion. Gone the narrowed eyes and confused look, because now, her mom was serious like she just remembered something terrible from the past and all.
"Why would they asked you? I hope that you responded them the way I was thinking right in this moment, Amara," her mom said seriously.
She was right. She knew her mother a lot that she knew it won't make her happy instead would make her so furious inside when she said yes to that invitation. She was just thankful that it wasn't a requirement to live and wasn't a force for her and her beat friend to be part of the team. Instead, they were asked if they want to and they were given a chance to say no because she would never say yes to that.
"I know what was I supposed to answer to them, mom. You have nothing to worry about for I have already declined the invitation and explained them that it wouldn't be good to them if Gillian and I were part of the team," she explained and with that, she saw how her mom's eyes and expression lighted up.
Her mother cracked a tiny smile and with no words, she was pulled into a tight hug that kind off shocked her for a moment before it sink into her mind that it was her mom who was hugging her.
"Thank you for always considering me, Amara. I know that me and my story would sometimes be too much for you and I will always and forever be sorry about that. I am glad that the heaven gave me a daughter that is understanding and respectful and most of all, independent, strong and matured."
She heard how sounded her mom likes. Amara shut her eyes tightly to prevent her tears to fall for it was about to.
"Thank you so much for always be a fighter for me mom. You weren't afraid for me ever since, how can I not always think of you ahead of everything mom? You gave me your life and I will do the same. I only have you in this lifetime, I couldn't lose you," she responded and wiped her mom's tears that flows down it's cheeks.
"I would never exchange my blood and flesh into something I know I would regret for the rest of my life. Your life matters, Amara. Time made you strong and matured you the way you are and I am grateful. I know in the near future, you will stepping the path on your own and I can't wait to witness how you became the one that you want to become," she smiled as she hears those long message from her mother. They barely talk like this.
"Thank you for always trusting me, mom. Although we are not powerful as the other Holiester, we are no wealthy like them and we are just who we are, I am thankful that I got the love that some of the royals don't," she answered making her mom pulled her back into a tight hug.
Amara shut her eyes to feel the warmth of the hug from the only one she can call her family — her life. The moment she opened her eyes, her sight landed in the place where she kept the ball that bothered her a lot.
"What is it?" her mom asked wondering when her way of releasing her mom from the hug seems to be something that would give anybody the curiousity.
"The ball," she answered and walked towards the ball and took it from where she hid it. The moment she took it out, her mom's eyes widened in confusion.
"What happened?"
She also had that question in her mind after she saw this crystal ball became like this.
"I don't know, mom. But I tried to release my water and attacked in it, the dancing water went out and was kind off a magnet that connected to my water. After that, the three dancing element were gone," she answered.
"Give me the ball," her mom reaches the ball and was carefully reaching it. She couldn't even lay a finger on it before for it was hot for her and Gillian as well. Amara was preparing herself to pull this ball away from her mom's hand when it would burned her again.
"Mom, careful. We still do not know what this ball could do. Although, it is now looking like an ordinary ball like from the Holy Market," she warned her mom very serious. Her mom nodded at it and slowly lay her hand on the ball.
"It's not hot anymore!" Her mom yelled in surprised.
They both widened their eyes and looked at each other. Both of them were kind off shock with this happening. What happened? Amara immediately released a water ball in her hand. Her mom can use to touch her water, she can even water the plants in their garden.
"Mom, would you please touch this water ball? But please, be careful," she asked her mom who still looks like confused. She was attentively looking at her mom slowly keeping her hand close to the water ball in her hand.
Amara come up to the thought of putting a shield in her mom to make sure that whatever happen, nothing bad will happen to her mother. However, before her mom landed her hand on the water ball, her eyes widened when her mom stepped back like some strong force pushed her back.
"Mom!" She immediately succored her mother.
"What happened?" her mom was really confused. She was looking at her with such narrowed eyes and all. What happen to your water, Amara? It was hot.
So it's not just for her, other Holiester can also feel the hotness of her water. That only means, she can no longer water their plants and all. But how the f*ck did that happen? Why it seems like the dancing elements such are water and fire seems like entered her system and all?
"Mom, I felt like — like the dancing element of the water, fire and air was entered the force of my water. I can feel them in my body."
