"Amara, I have been eyeing you for so long," the Director started as she just sir her ass down. Gillian also sat down beside her and they were facing the royal council officers. The royal team was also sitting in front of them. They took the chairs in this long rectangular table. "We saw that you have the potential to be part of tge team that does missions and went to every cities that the Holy Land or even outside the Holy Kingdom," the other officer said. "Thank you for such words, Mr. Director and ma'am," she started and smiled to everyone. "But, I would like to decline that with respect for I know my own capability and I am not qualified to be part of the team," she answered giving them a smile trying to convince these Holiesters that she doesn't like the idea. She would never want to be part of the team, nor join to whoever are they. "Amara, among the class 2 Holiesters you and your best friend are the strongest. That is why we want you to be in the royal team, and that if you would accept the offer," said the Director. Gillian who's sitting beside her pinched her side a little and she knew what was that mean and she would nod her head if she only had a chance to meet Gillian's eyes. "I am so sorry, Mr. Director, however, although I will always protect the Holy Land with all my might, I don't think I would do right joining the royal team. They are already four, royal teams has always had that count in each team," she answered and even she knew how much of a lame that excuse, she still didn't hesitate to tell that. The director smiled and shrugged while shaking his head, "the count will never matter, Amara. It would be great if the team will make 6 of them. Gillian will be doing you," said the director. "If this offer is not a requirement and if I wasn't force to do it, I will always say no to this, Mr. Director, sir," Amara bravely answered. She know what will happen of she will be in the team under the royal's command. Her mom would never be happy about that. Although, the Holy Kingdom was under the royal's jurisdiction but atleast that was different from being under the royal command that was reachable by hand. "Oh no. This is not for force, Amara. We want you to be willingly join the team that you really want it not because you are forced to do it," said the Director. "Thank you, sir. However, Gillian and I, we never desired joining the royal team. I don't believe I have strong ability and that I was capable to be part of the team," she said and roam her eyes around the room to meet the eyes of everybody. "But, if you think that we were capable to do a mission, we will be willingly accept a mission with only the two of us in the team." "Amara, that was so much strong of a courage. I will think about that because it would just give me peace if I know that you have the royal team with you, I can guarantee your safety," said the Director and everyone in the council agreed — well, except Hailey, Camille and Kean. Obviously, Kean doesn't like to have her around. Holiesters would think that he was making or having a good day with the sister he never want. They would think that he was making relationship with the class 2 Holiester he promised he would go get rid of. Amara would never want to make trouble for her mom. Royal officers will go get her mom and ask her some questions she would never answer her whole life. Her mom was trying to live the life in peace, even the fact that she misses Kean so much. And the because they were a class 2 and they can't do something about their feelings, they chose to just stay standing still in the side. And the fact that Kean despises her mother for being a class 2 really broke her heart. "Thank you, Mr. Director. Honestly, it was an honor for me to be part of the royal team. But, I would rather have myself and my best friend away from the royal activities. We don't deserve to be in the team, we are just lower classes," she said trying to never disappoint the royal council officer. "You are so smart to think of that thing, Amara. But, Gillian, what was your insight about this? Don't you want to be part of the royal team? Yes, you're best friend Amara was right, you two came from the class 2 but most of the class 2 Holiesters in your age dreamt to be part of the royal team," the other Royal council officer. Gillian give a glance to Amara and her best friend just gave her the smile that seems to be saying that she can answer that question honestly. "That was true, ma'am. However, Amara and I, we would rather have ourselves stay away from the complications that might possible to happen. Royal is royal and we are so out of the league. We are not royal and that fact made Amara stay in the track that only for her. She was right, it would be an honor being with the royal but if it was about being in a mission, it would be a pride for us, class 2 if we succeeded the mission without having a Royalty with us," she answered straightly. "Are you saying that the royal will take all the credit?" Lady Penelope butt in. She wasn't saying anything earlier and now she just had her voice out. "Yes," Amara answered instead of Gillian and that made all these Holiesters with her glances over her. "I am sorry for being bold and honest, Lady Penelope. But I won't sugarcoat things for I wasn't raises like that, but I know that being in the royal team means imprisoned." Everyone gasped and was giving her a death glare. They immediately were in the commotion disagreeing so much her statement. She glances her brother who are now looking at her like he was so ready to take her down. Hailey was looking so ready like she was going to kill her right in this moment. The Prince was looking at Amara with no emotion while processing the statement that she made in his head. "What do you mean by that?" The director asked seriously. "I mean, royals have a rules in their own that we class 2 didn't suit. Plus, we won't want to be a burden for them in the mission. We are the weakest in the team when that happen and I don't want them to struggle finishing their mission just because they have weaks with them," she answered without taking her eyes off from the Director. **************** "Amara was right, Mr. Director, Prince Stanley. We don't fit to be part of your team. We will be accepting missions and challenge with the two of us — only the two of us. We don't want to put the royal team's lives in danger in case we missed up," Gillian said eyeing everyone in the council room. Amara looked at her best friend and gave her the smile of satisfaction. Although, they didn't talk about it and they weren't able discuss their possible response of every questions, she was happy that even the fact the both of them are not having a discussion through telepathy, their mind works as one and that was best friend's thing. "You two was able to place yourselves in the rank 10 of the rank battle of your abilities. That only means, you have the strength that suite to be in the team," said Prince Stanley. Hailey gritted her teeth upon listening the Prince who were sitting beside her. "Luck happened once in our lifetime, Prince Stanley and maybe, luck was just the reason why Gillian and I was able to be in the top 10. However, today, it would be the best of luck for the two us if we could have put ourselves atleast in between 11th - 15th," Amara said. "If you say so, I actually agree with Amara and Gillian. They doesn't have the training like the royals had. It would just make the royal work's hard because they have to think of them," the other royal officer butt in. Amara looked at that woman and smiled. She knew for fact that this officer would agree with her for this officer was Hailey's aunt. She also glances the Lady Penelope and she saw how their royal teacher looked at her. It seems like, Lady Penelope was reading her mind and her action. Luckily, she got the ability of closing her mind so that no one would be able to invade her privacy. If only she could do it with other Holiesters, she would surely do it with Gillian and of course, her mother. "Thank you, ma'am," she thanked the royal officer. The woman didn't even smiled at her. Instead, it looks at her with seriousness in her eyes. She knew this woman. A-side from her being Hailey's Aunt, this royal officer also was the woman who wanted her mom gone. Although, no one was able to provide an evidences and that made her still free until now for she was called innocent. She knew it was her who did it. She was just thankful that she got a mother who knows what was happening in her enviroment. Her mom would never let her guard down and that made these Holiester hate her mother. There are lots of reason for them to hate her mom. And she only knew 2 of them. First, it was because once upon a time, she caught the attention of a royalty and she even gave him an heir. Second, it was because her mom was strong and would never let other Holiesters bring her down just to protect her children. "I will think about your proposed set-up, Amara. I honestly want you to be in the royal team for I do believe in your capability. I was watching you for so long and I know you are strong," Mr. Director said while looking at her. Amara wants to see what was this Director was thinking for real. She always know that this man hates the lower classes, that if he only had a chance to choose who would just be qualified to be in the Holy University, she knew that no one from the class 2 would be able to step inside this Holy University. It was the King and the Queen who announced and made it a rule that class 2 should join the audition and exam, in order for the council to know if they were qualified to be studying in the Holy University. "Thank you, Mr. Director and I apologize for fearlessly declined your offer of joining the royal team. It's just that, we know our place very well," she answered. As she glanced the faces of the royal council officer, she couldn't say that all of them were happy about her decision of not accepting the offer that she knew would be so hard for them. Also, being with the royal team would just scared her mom in every mission that they will be doing. There was no class 2 that joined the royal team that was able to come home alive and whole. Some of them were missing and no one could say why. They do not want to point all the happenings to the royals for they have no evidences but they couldn't help for it was always with the royals. The council were trying to cover those things up. But Amara was always in their curiosity and she always wanted to satisfy her mind when she wanted to know a thing about certain things. Sometimes, she doesn't like being like that but she couldn't help it and that was the reason why she was sitting right in this chair today. "You were invisible like an air your whole life here in Holy University. You were never interested in any activity but you exile, Amara, in battle as well as in academic. I trust you, I know you would have a big help to the Holy Land someday," said the Director. Those words are some kind off words that would make — or supposed to make her feel special after being told like that. However, it didn't make her special, instead, it just bothers her a lot for the eyes of the Director didn't look like he meant what he was saying. *"Are they still thinking that I have the thing the were looking uphill?"* Amara questioned in mind. "I will take that as a compliment, Mr. Director and I will thank you for the trust you have given in me," she answered. *"Why do I feel like, there's something wrong in here?"* Gillian suddenly voiced out in Amara's head. She just choose to let it slide for she was thinking the same thing. "In the near future, Amara, you will be one of the great student of the Holy University. Gillian will also make her own name in here, I know both your strength and I would say, you are stronger than a mere class 2." Lady Penelope butt in that made the two best friend's looked at her. "Mr. Director, Lady Penelope and other officers, if Amara doesn't want to be part of our team, let her be. We all know that she was strong and that she can protect herself. Don't you think her suggestion was great? Our batch has 2 team of emissaries, that would be a pride for us," Hailey joined the conversation. "I agree with Hailey, I think, the two of them can make a good team up," Kean also speak. "But the King and Queen didn't allow any representative from class 2 to be an emissary unless they have already graduated here in Holy University. We can only tell that they were capable of protecting themselves when they managed to graduate," Prince Stanley utter that shut everyone up. ************ "Prince Stanley was right, we still need an approval from the King and Queen. And it would just leave us in peace when these class 2 are doing their own mission away from the royals. We still need to guarantee the safety of the royals," the guy council officer speak up. Amara smirk upon hearing that, she would never forget that thing and why would she be surprised? "Felicio!" The Director seem to be trying to make these straight forward and honest officer control their words. "Amara, Gillian, what Felicio means ---" "Don't worry, Mr. Director, we know what his highness means. We understood every meaning of it, we accepted it because he was right," Gillian butt in. The Director stared at Amara and she just give him the sweetest smile she could do. "I apologize and thank you for being an understanding, Amara. I asked you to be here to discuss things and I respected your choice. Thank you for your time, Amara and Gillian," said the Director that made them both smiled and nodded. Why does it feel like the director was talking to them with respect? Mr. Director was never sounded like this, he always used his voice and his title to hold lower classes in their neck. Gillian was kind off bothered about it but Amara knew what kind of trick these royalties were trying to do. She is certain that her mom would be proud of her for standing in her own and not get her knees tremble because of the royal's words. "Thank you for inviting us here, Mr. Director, royal officers. Again, I would like to apologize for declining that honorable offer for me and Gillian," Amara respectfully said and bowed her head. "I noticed how matured you are the way you talk. Your mom seemed to raised you with responsibility and being independent to trust yourself," the man beside Lady Penelope speak. "I got the best mom," she responded and glanced Kean whom she knew was looking at her too. Well, they were all looking at her. "She trust me to trust myself and I will always do things that will make her proud. My mom deserves the world. She maybe a lower class and not wealthy like other Holiesters but she got a pure heart and she loves me truely." "You didn't sound 19, Amara," the woman officer speak that just made her smile. Amara couldn't just let her guard down for this kind compliments but also, she wasn't closing the chance of thanking them for their kind of words. "Thank you," she said before giving a glance to Gillian and gave her a sign of going out from here. "We are going now, Mr. Director, Lady Penelope, officers, Prince Stanley." Everyone nodded and didn't say a word. She and Gillian stood up together and walked out from the council room with no excitement to feel. "Why are we even here, wasting our time," Gillian mumbled while they were walking towards the gate of the Holy University. "Atleast we learned that for once, they tried to put us in the situation that we knew would be the end of us," she responded. Amara had this thought the moment the director mentioned that they want them to be part of the royal team. She know that they will be putting them in front and whatever may happen, the royals will put them in danger just to free themselves. And she would never like that. There are tons of class 2 lives wasted for the royalties, she would never let that happen again. Yes, she respected the royals but that doesn't mean she would forget her value of living just to die for those royalties who doesn't even deserve the life of the lowest class Holiesters.
