I knew none of what happened was Alec’s fault. I knew I shouldn't take my anger for the situation out on him, but I couldn’t help it. I knew what Adeline felt in that moment. I knew what kind of damage it caused, and I didn’t want anyone to feel that kind of devastation. The kind of thing that wrecks a person beyond repair. From what I can tell, Adeline was a lovely person, and she didn’t deserve that. Alec’s actions felt almost like betrayal in a way. I understand it was no fault of his own, but the fact still remained. Did he even try to find out the truth? Or did he just isolate his sister when she needed him the most?
