I kept looking up at the clock on the microwave. Serenity had been in the shower for fourteen minutes. Ope! Fifteen minutes. My knee was bouncing like a rubber ball as I chewed on my thumbnail. I had a girl in my room, and not just any girl. My mate! I started giggling. I was actually giggling.
“Human, stop it. Not cool. Mate will reject us because you’re acting like you’ve never seen a woman before.” Gentry griped.
“I’ve never seen MY MATE before.” I stressed. Gentry rolled his eyes.
“You’re going to scare mate away, and when you do, I will find a way to eat you.” Gentry said as he sat in the corner of my mind, flicking his tail. Eighteen minutes. I stood to walk out of the kitchen when I was floored by the deliciously soothing scent of the sea mixed with chamomile and lavender.
