Serenity
I looked around the sterile room I was in. Medical supplies were strode all around the room. My eyes landed on a stack of bloody towels that had been thrown on a wash tub in the corner. Was that my blood?
“Yes. It is.” I jumped at the sound of Nessa’s voice as it flitted through my head.
“Nessa!” I said out loud.
“Who’s Nessa?” the man, Alec, asked. I forgot he was still there. I looked over at him, and he was staring at me with stars in his eyes.
