When Josey opened her eyes, a tear ran down her cheek. It was obvious they had been crying in their sleep. She dreamt of Valin holding his wife and staring deep into her big aristocratic eyes. Her body was pure, untainted by blood or lust. Purity was an attribute they could not grant him. Even before they met him, she was soaked in the sweat and desires of many men and demons.
She rolled out of bed and rang her bell for Shion. She needed to focus on the paperwork and drafts for her security system. Shion walked in and notified Josey that her morning bath had been drawn.
“My Queen, will you be dressing as a Queen or as an engineer?” Shion asked. She knew Josey did not really care for the dress code of the aristocracy and had no problem stepping away from it.
Josey giggled at her question. “As an engineer. I would like to wear black and be as comfortable as possible.” She decreed.
She walked into her bathroom and removed her gown and let her hair down. Bath time always made her think of Cofer. Has she walked down the stairs into the hot water. She remembered their first shower together. It was on their wedding night. They were so sweaty and sticky, they needed a break. For someone who had never had s*x before, Cofer was like a explorer. He wanted to tour and taste every part of her. She was sure he succeeded.
While they were in the shower, he stood in a far corner watching her shampoo her hair. His length was strong and at full attention but he didn’t touch himself. It was like he was awestruck by the sight of her. She asked him if wanted to help wash her hair. He slowly nodded. He pulled his fingers through the suds in her hair and massaged it. When her hair cascaded over his still erect length, he paused. He stared down at his length that had disappeared under her hair.
The memory made her smile as she floated in the water with her eyes closed. She remembered very vividly at that moment how Cofer sounded when he whispered her name. Then he gathered her hair around his erection and feverishly f****d it. The thought made a low moan escape her chest. She pushed her fingers into her slit. Thinking about him had her yearning for his touch. After he came in her hair, he pressed her against the wall and laid in her tangled hair. He held her so tight, she was sure her hair had put him in a trance.
If it felt good, Cofer tried it. They were in the shower for at least three hours that day. This was also the first time Josey watched their blood flow together.
Cofer sat on the floor of the shower with her in his lap. They kissed and held each other firmly. They took turns sucking blood from different parts of each other’s necks and chest. Blood had started to pool around the drain and their bodies. The moment Cofer was erect again, he pushed himself back into her. While she leaned back, inhaling, trying to steady herself from the vastness of his erection, he bit deep and hard into her breast. The severe pain and the thickness of his hard on, made her body tremble. She could only muster three words, “f**k me harder.” She had never been more turned on in her life.
She exhaled those memories and removed her fingers from her slit. She covered her face and whispered to herself, “It has been less than a day and I miss him so much.” She couldn’t even properly please herself without getting upset. She quickly wrapped up her bath. She didn’t want to think about him. She didn’t have the energy to miss him and Valin. Cofer was the only one she knew would always come back to her.
She quickly dried off and put her robe on. She walked into their room where Shion stood waiting and put on her undergarments and hoodie then sat at her vanity. Shion detangled and dried her hair. She put braids on the sides of her head and then pulled her hair into a large puffy ponytail. She placed her smaller bejeweled crown on top of her head, while leaving two curl strands in front of each ear.
Josey wiggled into her ripped jean short shorts and put on some leather knee high open toe boots. She was running a little behind schedule. She quickly gathered her bag while Shion summoned the transporter. Shion wished Josey to have a good day as she ran into the portal. When she came out of the other side, the silence in the large room was harsh. It felt like it was taunting her for ignoring her husband's feelings while they laid in each other's arms. She looked away and made her way to the door.
Liv and Adiv stood waiting for her.
“May I take your bag, my Queen?” Liv asked. Adiv shot a glare at him like he felt like they should have flipped a coin to carry her research bag or at least talked beforehand.
“Yes you may.” Josey handed Liv her messenger.
For their first day, they would start with an in depth review of the maps of Wilshana. Sueli hoped that Valin would be at their side and was excited to be near him. When they arrived at his office, William was waiting for them.
“Good Morning Queen Sueli. We will be meeting in a library at the back of the palace.” William said and then guided them.
“This room is where we keep maps of Wilshana and some general knowledge information about Wilshana. I think this room would be of good use for you and your team.” William continued.
Josey moved a little closer to William and whispered. “So you all are covering up our relationship too? Uh?” She smirked and then giggled quietly. “I understand. It would be bad for him, if the kingdom found out that he kidnapped and then had s*x with the Vampire King’s wife.”
“Please, Your Majesty. This is a very crucial time in Valin’s life.” William’s voice trembled. He was nervous. He didn’t want to incur Queen Sueli’s wrath or Cofer’s.
“I won’t be saying anything. It has never been my intention to change his destiny.” Josey continued. William sighed.
“Beyond this point are the concubine’s quarters. So please do not enter unless there is a need or you have expressed permission from his majesty.”
William took out a large key and unlocked the door to the room. The room was a two story library with a large round table on the first floor.
William continued his tour and discussed best practices for searching and returning the maps and books to their proper location. Even though Sueli was upset she would not get to see Valin, she was happy Josey was doing something that she loved.
“If you need anything there is a dimensional speaker that connects to King Valin and I. Please do not hesitate.” William excused himself. The twins soon followed behind him to guard the doors and check the area.
Josey gathered her first set of materials and went to work.

When Cofer woke up in the woods that morning, he felt his wife’s heart ache. He stared up at the sky as the leader of the gargoyles, Daghaud, started circling the area. They were restless. They hated the blue skies that humans took refuge under. It hurt their eyes and irritated their skin. They also found the smell of fresh growing things repugnant. Cofer held his chest. Thinking about his wife’s sorrow and the gargoyles fervidness, was making him tired. If he was honest with himself, he felt free. He would have to work hard to distance his heart from them so that he didn’t feel their pains, their anxieties. “What? No…” He said to himself then shook his head. If he gave up one inch, he was sure he would lose Josey to Valin. He picked himself off the ground and shook the dirt off of his back.
The great forests of Milv were vast. It took up 35 % of the continent. All of the kingdoms bordered it. The king of Priesham once tried to make the land his own. He only made it about 100 miles in before he met King Julius. It was said that King Juilius had warned of demonic creatures and people who worshiped them. They were called the Cataha. They were cannibals. They were humans that embraced the realm of demons. Over the thousands of years living in the forest, they acquired strength, five times that of man.
Cofer did not want to meet them. By now there would be droves of them living at the heart of Milv. Other than possibly ending up in the center of hell, transporting could put them in the village of the damned. All he could do for the time being was hope that the path that he mapped out took them through a safer area. He threw his back pack on and ignored the echoing of Josey’s moans in his head. He jumped into the nearest tree and then pounced until he got to the tallest. He signaled Daghaud that they were getting started. The first week and half in the forest would be above ground then if they made it to the entrance there would be another week to the bloody sea, Hacium. He wasn’t looking forward to any of that.
