524 Words
To Chase's surprise, Kevin didn't say anything before he put down his fork and went upstairs. That was it? Chase stared at the boy with a complicated look in his eyes. "Sir, do we need to cook something else for Kevin?" Mr. Smith asked carefully. "It's okay. Don't mind him," with that, Chase went back to his study directly. … Cole was so excited as he saw Lola. He told her everything that happened in the mansion on their way back home. Hearing what Chase had said about her, Lola went a bit mad. What was wrong with this guy?! "Mommy, I praised your medical skills before Daddy though." Daddy? Lola turned to face Cole with a stern look in her eyes, "What did you just call him?" "Daddy?" Cole's brows jumped. "He hasn't taken care of you for even one day. But you still call him 'Daddy'?" Cole was her boy! How could he call that man his daddy? Lola felt sour and bitter. Cole, however, let out a cute smile, "Do you want Kevin to call your mommy then?" Kevin… She gave birth to her Kevin. Of course, she wished Kevin would call her Mommy one day. Cole shrugged, "See? It's the same." "It's not the same," Lola huffed. Cole was a bit confused. Mommy had been struggling to bring them up. If she could make up with Daddy, they could live together and Mommy would also be protected. He had seen Kevin today. He loved his new brother. They would have so much fun together. To realize this dream, Cole decided to try harder. "Mommy, have you married Daddy?" He was still calling that bastard "Daddy"! Lola huffed, "No." Cole continued, "Then, would you like to marry him?" Marrying Chase Dalton? He was such a bastard! Lola wished him dead! If he hadn't put a 1 million bounty on her, she wouldn't have to escape to another country. She had been through so much because of him. "Chase Dalton? I wouldn't marry him if all the other guys on this planet are dead!" Lola groaned. Cole pouted a little as he noticed the look on Mommy's face. It seemed like Mommy wouldn't give in that easily. If he teach Daddy a lesson, Mommy would probably feel less angry… Cole wondered. When they reached the school, Monna and Mia had already been there waiting for them. Monna seemed a bit angry. Cole had promised that he would buy her some snacks, but it had taken him so long. Lola rubbed her fluffy head, smiling, "Cole helped Mommy. That's why he couldn't make it back on time. Mommy will go buy you and Mia some snacks right now. You're happy now?" Hearing that, Monna nodded enthusiastically, beaming. Monna and Mia picked their favorite desserts at the bakery. Cole, however, picked Monna's favorite to make her happy. Lola smiled resignedly at her little man. She decided to pick something else for Cole. She reached out for a tray of freshly baked ricotta cakes, but someone took it away before her. Looking up in surprise, Lola saw a familiar face. Why was she also here?
