"Oh my god! Lola! It's really you? Where have you been?" Vicky exclaimed. The look on her face was full of concern, but Lola managed to pull away from her stretching hand. They were not at home. Why was she still acting like the good sister she had never been? Vicky was the daughter of Lola's father and her stepmother, Beatrice. Vicky was so fake that she always managed to pull out an innocent face when she was committing the foulest thing, just like her mom. Lola didn't even want to spend one more minute with her if it was possible.
Saying that she would go back and visit their dad when she was free, Lola just walked away. Vicky's eyes turned cold as soon as Lola turned around. She had no intention to let Lola escape, so she decided to stalk her older sister.
Before Lola could sit down by the desk, a sharp voice suddenly sounded behind her back, "Lola, are these your kids?"
Vicky knew that Lola had hooked up with some random guy and become a single mom. That was why she failed to marry Enzo Jones. The girls were tiny, but they looked exactly like Lola. They must be her daughters. And the boy… He looked quite familiar, but Vicky couldn't remember where she had seen the boy before…
"Why does it have anything to do with you?" Lola was not amused. Why did Vicky even follow her here? Was she planning something against her again? Vicky didn't fail to keep a big smile on her face. She complimented the children first, saying they were the most beautiful babies that she had ever seen. After that, she lowered her voice before changing the topic, "Who's the dad though? They said you were drunk and found a random guy… But does their father even know about them?"
Why would she care?
If she got to know the father was actually Chase, what would she do? Lola shook her head, frowning, "Nope."
"Lola, kids are growing up fast. Soon you'll find that they're actually curious about their father. If you want to find the father, I can help."
Vicky would like to help her? That was new. She was probably planning something shady again. Lola regarded her stepsister with distaste, "Honestly, it's been a while. I don't even remember their father. The babies don't look like they care about this issue. We're happy and fulfilled. I don't think we need to find him…"
"But how can they be happy without the father? Their dad must also…"
"Well… It's getting late. I really should take my babies back," Lola smiled and grabbed her purse. Cole and Mia were sensible enough to stand up immediately, ready to leave. Monna, however, was still having her cake. She didn't stop eating until Mia nudged her. Staring at the dessert on the table, Monna asked Lola carefully, "Mom, can we take away the rest?"
"Don't take the leftovers," Vicky approached Monna with a big smile on her face, "Just buy something new and auntie will pay. Auntie actually would like to buy more desserts for all of you." Lola knew what Vicky was doing. She was trying to make friends with her babies using that faking kindness.
Cole and Mia both noticed that their mom didn't seem to like this woman, so they both shook their heads, saying that they had had enough just now. Monna, however, seemed a bit hesitant.
Mia noticed Monna's wavering attitude. So she whispered in her sister's ear, "Mommy doesn't like this woman. Don't be a traitor, Monna."
Hearing that, Monna shook her little head immediately, saying that she had had enough. Monna had always been a little sucker for food. Lola had never expected her youngest daughter to be tough enough to turn down food for her mommy. She was a bit moved as she settled a hand on her daughter's fluffy head.
"Vicky, we really should go," saying that, Lola took her babies out of the bakery. Vicky, however, sniffed coldly behind her back.
"You gave birth to three little bastards! What's so great about that? I'll make you pay, you w***e!" Vicky spat viciously.
