Kevin was not an i***t. He could tell this woman just lost to him on purpose. She cracked the first two walls so fast. But she didn't even try to c***k the last one. Casting Lola a cold glance, the boy turned away and went to his room silently. Lola was so confused. Mr. Smith approached her, "Madam, Kevin is probably too tired today. Maybe you should go back and let him take a rest." Lola thought for a brief second before nodding a yes. She had promised her three babies this morning that she would take them to their new kindergarten tomorrow.
"Okay, I'll be here tomorrow."
When Chase finally came back from his company, Lola had already left. Mr. Smith told Chase everything that had happened this morning. Chase seemed pretty happy when he heard that Kevin slammed the door on that woman's face. Kevin hated her. That was great. After Kevin was treated, he definitely wouldn’t want to see that woman's face again. The next morning, Lola took her three babies to the kindergarten and baked some cookies before going to Dalton's place.
Staring at the homemade cookies she brought, the boy frowned. This woman lost to her yesterday on purpose and now she brought snacks to him… She'd got to be onto something. ''Kevin, I bought cookies for you.'' Lola presented the cookies with a flattering smile on her face. Kevin turned away, ''I don't need them.'' Lola looked a bit awkward as she put the jar of cookies back into her bag. Chase let out a cold sneer, glad to see her attempt fail, ''Madam Dussa, just do your job and heal my son. You don't need to worry about other things of my boy.''
Lola whipped around to see that sarcastic smile on Chase's face. This man just couldn't wait to see her fall, could he? Lola forced out a smile, ''Sure, Mr. Dalton. I'll do my job and make sure Kevin is healthy again.'' ''I'm glad to hear this,'' Chase nodded as he grabbed his coat, ready to leave.
''When should we get started?'' Kevin's words broke Lola's hot stare stuck on Chase's back. She sighed and followed the boy into his room. The process was painful and long, but Kevin didn't shed a tear as before. After the treatment was over, the boy insisted on starting a new round of hacking competition again. Lola, however, went a bit hesitant. Cole went to the new kindergarten. He wouldn't be able to help her today. ''What? You're too scared?'' Kevin challenged her. ''Yep,'' Lola admitted right away, ''I'm just too scared. You're way better than me, Kevin.''
Kevin's little face went dark, ''You're so fake!''
Lola swallowed. Yes, she was fake. She was not a hacker at all. She couldn't blame Kevin for being so mad. ''But, Kevin, are you sure you don't want to have a taste of the cookies I made? I made them, especially for you…'' Kevin rolled his eyes and walked into his room, slamming the door on her face as she followed him behind.
''Kevin, you can't be so rude. I'm just trying to be friends with you…''
''Hello? Dad? It's me,'' Kevin was calling Chase inside his room, ''That woman is so weird. Could you tell her to stop coming to our house? I'd be very glad if she can stay away from me.''
''Kevin? No!'' Lola rapped on the door, protesting. She soon received a message from Chase.
''Madam Dussa, it seems like Kevin doesn't enjoy your company as we both expected.''
