Chase had been waiting for this moment to come.
''Mr. Dalton, Kevin has not recovered yet. I can't leave right now.'' Chase laughed coldly, ''There is nothing I can do. Kevin insists to let you go.''
Insisted? If this man hadn't told her son that all women were liars, Kevin wouldn't have treated her this way. But she was also responsible for this. Kevin was the weakest among the four babies she'd given birth to. She had left the boy to Chase, thinking the boy would get the best treatment staying by a billionaire's side. Now, she had become the famous Madam Dussa. She must make her boy healthy and happy again.
''Mr. Dalton, I'll persuade Kevin. Just give me another chance and let me stay…'' Lola was literally begging at this point. Considering Kevin's condition, Chase didn't fire her downright. He went silent for a while before he snapped, ''You have to talk to Kevin. If he let you stay, you will stay.'' Lola let out a breath she'd been holding all this time and went to Mr. Smith directly. Kevin was just a boy. Surely she could find a way to handle him as long as Chase Dalton agreed to step aside and leave them alone.
If she wanted to be close to Kevin, she must figure out what the boy really wanted. That was why she decided to talk to Mr. Smith. Mr. Smith respected her as she came to save Kevin's life. ''Madam, you said you were curious about Kevin's wish?'' ''Yes,'' Lola nodded eagerly. Mr. Smith sighed before he started to tell Kevin's story.
Lola wanted to cry after hearing what Mr. Smith said. So the boy had been craving for his mother's love. Of course, he would. But Chase wouldn't allow her to tell the boy that she was actually his mother. What should she do? Mr. Smith sighed, ''Madam, I heard you also have children. Please bear with Kevin and give him some love. He needs it.'' Lola nodded, feeling bitter. Mr. Smith went to mind his own business after telling her that. Lola, however, suddenly had an idea.
Plucking up the courage, Lola knocked on the boy's door, ''Kevin, open the door.''
''Why are you still here?'' the boy sounded impatient.
''There is one thing I need to do before leaving here.''
''You're so annoying...'' Kevin opened the door only after a while, ''So, what do you want?''
''Kevin, why don't you let me stay and I'll make some change.''
Kevin gave her a wary look, wondering what trick she was playing right now.
''Let's change the original deal about the two-hour hacking competition.'' Lola smiled. Kevin stared at the woman before him, not saying a thing. Lola continued, ''You spend all day every day in this mansion. It's not good for you. Why don't we use the two hours to go outside and take a walk?'' Kevin was a bit surprised to hear the new suggestion. Dad never allowed him to go outside because he was always sick. Going outside sounded quite tempting to him.
Seeing Kevin wavering, Lola pressed on, ''You can only see the person you want to see if you go outside more frequently.'' Kevin's eyes were lit up as soon as he heard what Lola just said. If he could get out of the mansion every day, surely he could find a chance to look for his mommy.
