20 Pinky Promise

495 Words
''Deal?'' Lola asked. Kevin was so excited, but he only nodded gingerly, playing cool. Lola felt extremely relieved now that she could finally stay and save the boy. But… ''Will your dad agree though?'' Lola asked worriedly. Kevin stood straighter as he answered coolly, ''Let's not tell him then.'' ''So, we have a secret now?'' Lola smiled like a child as she held out her little finger, ''Pinky promise?'' Kevin rolled his eyes, ''Seriously? How old are you?'' But he still held out his little finger and finished the little ritual. When Chase finally went back home at night, he was quite surprised to see that Lola was still walking around in the house. How did this woman persuade Kevin to let her stay? Chase was so curious. Kevin still wanted to keep their secret, so he answered with contempt on his face, ''This woman is a bit annoying, but she's a good doctor. I feel much better.'' That's it? Chase raised an eyebrow. He knew how stubborn his son was. Swain was a scheming woman. She must have played some tricks to stay. Giving Kevin a suspicious stare, Chase went to the study room. Kevin, however, let out a sigh of relief, secretly wishing that his dad wouldn't find out about his lie. … Lola went to the mansion quite early the next day. Before Chase left for work, he warned Lola seriously that she'd better not bring any bad influence to Kevin, or he would make her pay. Lola rolled her eyes. Kevin was her son. Why would she sabotage her own son? ''Did you hear me?'' Chase frowned. ''Yes, yes, sure…'' Lola sniffed. She wouldn't even spare a glimpse at this asshole if Kevin were healthy. Who did he think he was bossing her around? Chase went to the company only after making sure that she would do as he said. After the treatment, Kevin went back to his room and climbed on his bed, telling Mr. Smith that he needed to take a nap. The two escaped from the mansion when Mr. Smith was not paying attention. Lola was so excited as Kevin sat beside her on the passenger seat. She'd been dreaming to spend some time alone with her son. "So, where do you wanna go, Kevin?" Lola smiled. "I want to go to a bar," the boy answered with a straight face. Wait, a what? Lola's smile cracked. "You promised you would take me wherever I wanna go," the boy arched an eyebrow coldly, "Now, drive." Lola sighed and started the car. 20 minutes later, the car stopped at the bar Kevin asked to go. Lola went pale as soon as she saw the bar. She remembered this place. This was the place where she and Chase first met… Kevin didn't get off the car instantly. He fished out a phone and dialed a number, "Hello, Paul? Yes, do you still remember our deal? Have you found my mom?"
