21 She's the only woman Dad ever tried to find

"Young boss… You know this is not easy. Besides, I also can't let your father know about this. I can only do it secretly. It will take a while…" Paul tried to find an excuse. Kevin had expected him to say something like this, "The bar is called Paramore. I'll be here waiting for you. You have 20 minutes." "What? Young boss, I'm still at work. If your dad finds out…" "If you don't come here, you know what will happen." With that, Kevin hung up the phone. Paul sighed deeply. These Daltons were driving him nuts! Kevin was just like his old man. He seldom broke his promises. Paul didn't dare to waste a single minute before he pulled over his car at Paramore. Kevin got off the car, telling Lola to stay, so Paul wouldn't see her. "What can I do for you, Kevin?" Paul asked, shoulders slumping. "I need a video," Kevin demanded, arms folded. "What video?" "My dad used to try to find a woman. He said whoever found her would get 1 million. That woman used to throw money on his face at this bar. I need that woman's footage…" Paul went petrified as he heard what Kevin just said. How did he even get to know about this? He must have seen the whole thing on his PC. Mr. Dalton tried to teach his son the history of the group. Kevin probably had watched every interview his father had had. He must have got to know about this thing through those interviews. "But… Kevin… Why do you want to know about that woman?" "She's the only woman Dad ever tried to find. It seems suspicious. Besides, we don't have other clues except for this one. Just go and stop asking…" The boy started to get a bit impatient. Paul had no choice but to obey his order, "Yes, Young Boss, I'll try my best." Paul walked toward the bar reluctantly. That woman was indeed Kevin's mother, but Mr. Dalton wouldn't want Kevin to know about her… What could he do to stop Kevin from knowing the truth? Paul didn't come back after a while. Kevin started to get a bit impatient. He wanted to make a call, but a sharp voice suddenly sounded behind his back, "Kevin? Why are you here?" It was that annoying woman, Susan Fox. This woman tended to stalk his dad. She was irritating. Kevin decided to ignore her. Turning around, the boy walked in another direction. "Hey! Kevin! I'm talking to you!" Susan followed up, calling behind Kevin's back. "How rude! This little brat!" Susan cursed. She couldn't find any excuses to get close to Chase these days. That boy was her perfect excuse. She wouldn't let him slip away. Thinking of that, she followed up in her pointy high heels. But the boy walked quite fast. He soon disappeared into the rows of cars in the massive parking lot. Susan searched and called among the rows, but the boy was nowhere to find. She couldn't let this chance slip away! Fishing out her phone out of her purse, Susan made a call to Chase. Chase frowned at the name before picking up the call, "Can I help you?" "Chase, I just saw Kevin. But he ran away. I'm a bit worried. Is he with you right now?" She saw Kevin? Chase arched an eyebrow, "Where did you see him?" "The parking lot of Paramore." The address deepened the furrows on Chase's brow. Why would Kevin go to places like that? "You must have seen it wrong," Chase didn't want to waste his time with this woman, so he hung up the phone directly, focusing on his files again. But an idea struck him suddenly. Kevin would never go to a bar, but Swain was a madwoman. Heaven knew where she would take his boy. Thinking of that, Chase called Mr. Smith right away, "Is Kevin at home?"
