Chapter 21

510 Words
Yukino plopped onto bed with a groan and burrowed deep into her blankets. After her brother, Taiyo had left, Yukino decided to tell her parents that she wanted to go adventuring before going to school. This way she could avoid the capture targets and heroine and not further doom herself to die. Her parents had accepted it quite readily without much of an argument and long as Yukino agreed to become trained by an adventurer, who they still have to find, and until the adventurer says she ready she won’t be able to go. A knock was heard and Yukino’s muffled open revealed Hisashi standing there, holding a plate of desserts while smiling in amusement. “I see that you chose to become an adventurer, though I shouldn’t be surprised.” The man said as he set the tray down, “But I’ve also heard that you will have to go through training.” Yukino let out a louder groan, “You’ll be suffering with me,” Yukino said. Since her parents didn’t want to have their only daughter and the kingdom’s sole princess to die, they had wanted to assign guards as she traveled. But since Yukino didn’t want to parade around with tens of guards, saying it would completely ruin the point of it, the parents decided that she had to bring Hisashi along, which she didn’t mind too much. “I’m much more fit than your highness,” clearly what he meant to say was: I’ll be fine, but I’m going to enjoy you suffering and dying. However, Yukino couldn’t refute his words as Hisashi was personally trained by her father to become her personal guard. Along the way, he somehow became a butler too. Glaring at the man, she pointed to one of the desserts on the tray, a round fluffy cake with creamy frosting on top. Without a word spoken, Hisashi grabbed it before giving it to Yukino.  ——————————— The adventurers came the next week, one tall sturdy man with brown hair and a scar across his nose. A sword dangled from his hips and the other one was a beautiful female holding a long wooden stick in one hand. “So you’re the princess we were hired to teach.” The man said looking straight at Yukino who was wearing black pants and a white top. Bowing down slightly Yukino nodded. “At least you’re have to common sense not to show up in a dress.” Yukino raised an eyebrow but didn’t say anything, the words of her father ringing in her ears. “Don’t disrespect the adventurers they’re very strong and well connected. There’s nothing I can do if they don’t want to teach you.” The man turned to Hisashi who stood slightly behind Yukino’s left side. “At least you seem decent.” He said. Hisashi bowed deeply, “Thank you, teacher.” Teacher? Yukino’s eyebrows were raised even more. What happened to the constantly amused boy? To be so respectful, Yukino’s eyes flickered to the man, I deeply respect you.  The female stood to the side, watching her companion analyze their two new students. “Hmmmm, good. I like you,” The man finally said before looking back to Yukino, “You. Run.”
