Prologue + Chapter 1
A girl in her teenage years walked out of the bathroom and jumped onto her bed, burrowing her head into the softness of her mattress and the fuzziness of her blankets. Taking in a deep breath she inhaled the scent of her bed, which has always been able to calm her down.
Recounting what had happened today, she truly wanted to slap someone. Oh her way home she had ran into a stranger. That stranger kept bugging her and then when she refused to answer, the stranger followed her. Finally she had been able to shake the stranger off but nevertheless she was... annoyed. It didn’t happen often, the girl had a lot of patience but when she accidentally bumped into the stranger she had felt a tug. Then a sense of annoyance and hate?
Was it hate? She didn’t know but she suddenly felt lonely.
“I’m going insane.” The girl gave herself a double slap on the face. “Whatever..” she mumbled, as she flipped on her bed. Her back now laid on the mattress and she stared up into the ceiling, she felt like she could almost see the stars. Closing her eyes, drowsiness enveloped her and drag her into an oblivion known as sleep.
Red carnations. The contrast of red carnations on the snow made it seem like specks of fresh blood. Orange lilies and marigold wove it’s way up a withered willow tree. She stood in the clearing, her black hair swaying with the gentle winds.
“You’re here, ——” the last part of the sentence was cut off due the strong gust of wind.
“Who are you?” The girl asked. She placed her hand over her heart as she felt a strong tug of longing at the sound of the voice.
“...You’ve forgotten.” A lone figure came out from behind the tree. As it came closer, she was able to see the face. At the sight her chest tightened up with a emotion she couldn’t explain.
“Who are you?” She asked again. The man came closer and reached out, but the girl flicked back on instinct.
“You’ve forgotten me. But your heart still knows. You still reject me.” He turned around not before she saw a flash of emotions in his eyes. Was it sadness? Guilt? Regret?
She did not know.
“Forget what happened.” He said, voice cold and devoid of any emotion. The place faded, but the last thing to turn into darkness was the back of the male.
Forgotten memories.
Lost times.
A carved out heart.
Darkness.

Death is the inevitable, bound to happen to every living thing. However, it is not the end. The cycles of birth, death, and rebirth, so similar to the never ending cycle of a phoenix's who turned into ashes only to once again rise. Every beginning after all, can only begin with the end of another.

Most people know how they died when they're dead. Or at least has a slight idea of how they died. Rose however, does not.
The young 16 year old girl was sitting on her knees, eyes looking about as confusion clouded her brain.
Somehow she knew she was dead. She however has no clue how she died. Her brain was trying to reel in an idea, any logical explanation that could possibly work, she was after all a very healthy person. Even bothering to work out at least once per month. She wasn't suffering from cancer or any diseases as far as she knows. She didn't die from a truck or car cause the last thing she remembered doing was going to sleep. She is 100, or at least 99.9999999999999999999 percent sure that she did not die from old age. She was 16 for Pete's sake!
Which lead to her conclusion, she was either murdered which was highly unlikely as she was a very likeable person (okay maybe not), but she doubted that they hated her enough to kill her. So there was the other conclusion she arrived to, the most ridiculous one of them all. She had fallen out of her bed, bonked her head, and she never got up in the morning.
The simple thought had made her cringe.
Although there were questions piling up about how she died, there was a more pressing matter at hand.
Where in the God forsaken world was she?
She looked around first down, only to see a reflection of herself, knowing that wasn't going to give her a clue as to where she is, she started looking around and immediately tensed. Bright, colorful orbs were floating around. It would have been cool, like some sort of fantasy landscape if it weren't for the fact that some orbs were flying right at her.
Rose leapt to her feet and growled at the orbs that were at first coming near her slowly, but then they started gradually gaining speed.
You see there were only a handful of things that could possibly make Rose willingly get off her lazy butt. Family and friend crisis was one, getting loud things to shut up was another, and insects was the last.
Rose and insects don't usually work well together, sure she's a curious soul and she finds some insects very interesting sometimes, however that didn't change the bad blood between them.
She will admire them from afar but once they come close, she would act as if she's facing her life long enemy. These orby thingys immediately fell under the insect list.
Rose warily stared at the incoming orbs zooming towards her before she turned to run, only to be faced with another wave of orbs.
Only then did she realize that the orbs were coming at her from every direction.
"What the b****y hell?" Rose cursed as she could do nothing about the orbs. One orb was about to touch her and she closed her eyes, expecting a lot of pain since they looked like thunder balls.
When no pain came, no boom was heard, she slowly opened her eyes. Looking around she saw that all the orbs have stopped.
Rose wanted to scream but the patterns and designs on the orbs made her stop, causing her curious nature to start blooming to its fullest.
Catching sight of a white orb with lots of black squiggles she hesitantly reached out her hand to touch it. When it disappeared upon contact, the orbs were immediately removed from her black list.
Gleefully she started touching more of the orbs, taking each and everyone one in.
She touched a blue one that had silver lines through it.
She touched several gold ones, a light blue one with a swirling white pattern, another golden one but it had something like a blue gem in the center.
Basically, to sum it up, she touched a lot of orbs that day before finally getting bored, and when she is bored she sleeps; so she laid down, her eyelids getting heavy as she fell into a blissful rest, completely unaware of what's awaiting her.
