Who is this Lady?

RAMON POV I let out a growl when I heard the door to my office open. “Sorry to bother you, Alpha, but I came to inform you that we have applicants who have arrived for the warrior position.” my beta said, going straight to get point just how I wanted it to be. I let out a loud sigh, trying to relax. The thought of having strangers come into my pack is something I don't feel good about. I don't know these people who are in my pack. I know nothing about them or their lifestyles. What if they are dangerous people? They might be harmful also. I was strongly against this idea of allowing people to come into my pack , but council members kept insisting that this happened because I needed to have more warriors. I shouldn't let them in, but I have no other choice. My hands are tight at the moment. The threats I keep getting are increasing daily. I have lost a large number of pack members in just two months. Each day I wake up, I always see a dead body. As an alpha, it's not a good sight to see. The people who I am meant to protect are being killed while I am their leader. My pack members are now living in fear every day because they don't know if the next person to die will be them or not. Everyone is in fear, and the tension is so high. I no longer have peace of mind also because they are also on my neck to find a solution to bring back the peace we always had. The burden keeps increasing on my shoulders daily. What baffles me is how these rogues get access to come in here and attack my people. This is something that I am investigating seriously because it's strange how we keep experiencing the loss of a pack member daily. I feel someone is giving out informations that's why these things are happening. That's why I find it hard it trust anyone because even the person you dine and laugh with can still turn their backs to betray you. I unconsciously touched the scar on my left eye. This is something I do when I am stressed. “Sorry alpha but do you have anything to say about the people who are here? Do you want to see them?” My beta, Zander asked, bringing my attention back to him. “I don't need to see them. Just get their profiles for me to see.” was the answer I gave to him. I can't see them because if I do, I might send them out of my pack. It's best if Zander takes care of them himself. That will be much better. “Just do what you have to do and make sure you pick from the best. I will not accept some weakling fool. The test should be intensed as agreed.” I ordered. “Yes alpha.” he said. “That is all. You may leave.” I said. He bowed and left my office. I let out a sigh of relief now that I am back to being alone. I love my alone time. I feel more relaxed whenever I am alone. I don't feel tensed or uncomfortable when it's just me having a quiet time. All of a sudden, my peaceful moment was interrupted within some seconds. This time around, the person forgot to knock and just barged into my office. I was about to stand up and attack whoever the person was, but I heard my sister's voice. “Calm down, brother. It's just me.” Rosa said as she walked into my office and sat down comfortably. She is the only one who acts free around me, although I sometimes don't answer her or give her attention. Just like everyone, I push her and my parents away from me. Since I became the Alpha, my parents decided to give me the privacy I needed, but not Rosa. She doesn't listen to me or even gets scared. Whenever I shout at her, I want to be left alone. I will try to hurt her with my words, but she still comes to me no matter how I push her away from me. It gets to my nerves because she doesn't take no for an answer. Sometimes, I think she is purposely doing it. She needs to thank her stars that it's only because she is my sister, that's why I can't hurt her. “What do you want?” I asked because I needed her out of my office. “Can't I come to see my brother?” she asked, smiling at me like she actually meant what she just said. “Can't you see I am busy and can't be disturbed? I have no time to waste on you right now. Just tell me what exactly you need from me and leave me alone.” I asked her. “I am not blind to see you are busy. I just came to give you some support, but it seems you don't want it. Anyways I also came to ask for some money. I want to buy a bag.” she said, still smiling. Without saying a word, I pulled out my black card and passed it to her. “Thank you so much. You are the best brother in the wh......” I quickly interrupted her. “You can leave now.” She pouted. “You are so mean. You should have let me finish speaking. Anyways, that won't stop me from saying what I want to say. You are the best brother in the whole wide world, and I love you. Don't worry, you don't need to answer. I know you love me too, although you are acting so shy to show it. I totally understand you. Bye now before you bury me under the ground with those glaring eyes.” she said before walking out of my office. I didn't feel anything when she said those words because that's who I am. I just can't bring myself to be someone who I am not. I have a lot of baggages which are bad but I can't let them go no matter how hard I try. So, everyone has to bear with it. Sometimes, I wish I could just leave this pack and travel to some island where it's just going to be me. I will stay there for months, enjoying my peace. Being an alpha at twenty-five makes me feel so old already I don't have children or a mate yet, I feel so burdened with my past and my present situations. I wish I wasn't the alpha. I let out a sigh and continued with my work. My wolf began to act up, which was so unlike him. “Can you please just stay in one place and stop giving me a headache? I am trying to work here.” I told him. “Sorry Ramon. I also don't know why, but I feel on the edge all of a sudden. Something is calling for me out there.” Rick, my wolf said. “Wait don't tell me it's another death?” I asked about losing it. “No it doesn't feel like we have lost another pack member.” he answered. “Then if it isn't that, then what?” I asked, wondering why he is being like this. “Someone is here. I can feel some presence, which I don't understand.” he said, making me roll my eyes. “For your information, Rick, so many people are in our pack. That's why you can feel strange presence.” I informed him. “I know about that, but I want us to go and find this strange person who is here.” he growled. “Do you feel like the person is harmful?” I asked him. “I don't think so. I am not feeling alert just on the edge, and I am feeling so anxious to see this person.” he answered. This is so unlike him. He has never felt anxious before. Hearing him use the word "anxious" sounds so weird and foreign in my head. “Then since the person isn't dangerous, there is nothing to worry about. Let's just stay here. We can't go out there. If not, we will interrupt everything. So it's best if we stay in this office. Just forget about the strange presence. Soon, you won't feel it again.” I told him. “How are you sure that I won't feel it again?” he asked. “Just instincts. You will be fine. Maybe you need to rest or a run. I will take you for a run soon. Maybe later in the night, I will let you take over.” I promised him. He went back to rest while I continued to work. I was just about to close from work when I heard a knock on my door again. Zander walked in again. He was holding some papers. “Alpha here are the profiles of people who came today.” he said as he passed the papers to me. I collected them and waved my hand for him to leave. I began to look at the names and passports of the people. I carefully read their information. I rejected the ones who just by looking at their profile, you can tell they can't be of help in this pack. I was impressed by some profiles at the same time. Some men looked like they could do a good job. They looked promising. Although it depends on how well they pass the test. I kept flipping till I got to a profile of someone I wasn't expecting to see. Estrella Santiago. She is a female. A female applied to be a warrior. But it's only meant for men. Why did she apply? Does she know anything about being a warrior? I read everything about her, and I couldn't find a reason to reject her. She has the qualities of a warrior I needed. But she is a female, that's the issue. I doubt if she will be able to pass the test I have arranged for the applicants. She can't do it at all. Wait, why am I even worried about her? She chose to do this so she should face it herself. She has nothing to do with me. I shouldn't be bothered about her. I placed the paper with the ones I have accepted. If she does well, then that's her win, but I doubt if she will get in. I looked at her paper again. Just her name Estrella bothered me for a reason I can't explain. Who is this lady?
