First day
Sam: So, my Angel, would you like to go out for a little fresh air today?
Cassy: What do you propose?
Sam: Well, there are wheelchairs and I could take you to the park behind the clinic.
Cassy: I would like to, yes
Sam went to get the famous chair and took me to see the park. It was beautiful, there were flowers everywhere and, in the center, there was a fountain topped by three wolves howling at the moon. He went to a bench in the shade of a large oak tree where he sat down.
Cassy: So, you're the Alpha Princes, right?
Sam: Yes, that's who we are.
Cassy: But how does it work? I mean, you're... Three for a title
I saw the amusement in his eyes when he answered me.
Sam: We share the tasks, Zach is good at numbers and paperwork, Caleb is the socialite.
Cassy: What about you?
Sam: Well, I'm in charge of training the pack and strategy.
Cassy: So, if I want to train, do I ask you?
Sam: My Angel, there's no way you're going to fight...
Cassy: But...
Sam: There's none, but it's non-negotiable.
Cassy: But
Sam: I SAID NO
Avery: Am I disturbed?
Sam: YES
Cassy: No
We had been talking at the same time. I looked at Avery and said to him:
Cassy: Please take me back to my room
Sam: I'll do it.
Cassy: No, just Avery
I spoke in a small, broken voice. He had shouted at me, using his Alpha tone, and it hurt in my heart. He hadn't even bothered to listen to my request, so he immediately opposed. How was his way of acting different from the tyranny of Alpha Blake? Well, he hadn't hurt me physically, but I felt broken. I saw the hurt look he gave me, but I refused to let him go.
POV Samuel
What the hell did I do, my first turn alone with my Angel and I managed to hurt her. I shouldn't have used my Alpha tone with her, but just the thought of seeing her fight was making my Wolf go crazy. I joined my conscience to my brothers
Sam: Guys, I f****d up
Caleb: What!!!
Zach: What!!!
Sam: I got carried away and used my Alpha tone
Zach: Explain
Sam: She wanted me to train her to fight
Caleb: No way, my Love won't fight
Sam: I told her no too
Zach: What exactly did she ask you? Use the same words
Sam: Well, I was explaining to her what each person's role is and when I told her I was in charge of training the warriors, she asked me if I was the one she should ask if she wanted to be trained...
Zach: Did she tell you explicitly that she wanted to be trained? Did she tell you why?
I sighed
Sam: No, I didn't give her time.
Zach: i***t, there, listen to me carefully, I'm going to try to fix it, I'm coming to the clinic...
Caleb: Me too
Zach: If we want to have a chance with our Luna, you're going to have to learn to contain yourself Sam, if the words you told me are correct, she was speaking hypothetically. I hope you didn't ruin everything!
I looked up when my two brothers arrived, feeling ashamed in front of Zach. He headed towards the small room and when we wanted to follow him, he simply refused to let us go. He knocked softly on the door.
Zach: It's Zach my Luna, I know my i***t brother has crossed the line, and I'm sorry, can I come in to talk about it?
POV Cassy
Avery walked me back to my room as I felt tears rolling down my cheeks. I was angry and sad at the same time. He didn't even bother to listen to me and had raised his voice against me. It was the first time I was alone with him. Will it always be like this, him yelling at me? I had already been through hell in the past and if this was what the future had in store for me with the triplets, then no, thanks.
Once in the room, Avery helped me back onto the bed and sat down next to me.
Avery: Cassy, what happened?
I shrugged and whispered
Cassy: He was explaining the role of each triplet, when he told me he was training the warriors, I asked him if he was the one I should ask to be trained... He told me he refused to let me fight, when I tried to explain why I wanted to train, he told me no before I could speak…. When I insisted, he yelled, without even letting me explain…
Tears were sliding down my cheeks and Avery gently hugged me.
Avery: Honey, I'm so sorry Sam acted like such an i***t… it's not usually his style… but tell me, why do you want to train?
At the same time, someone knocked softly on the door.
Zach: It's Zach my Luna, I know my i***t brother has crossed the line, and I'm sorry, can I come in to talk about it?
Avery looked at me questioningly and sighed softly before nodding yes. She went to open the door and left me alone with Zach. He closed the door behind her after thanking her. He slowly approached me and sat on the foot of my bed.
Zach: I'm so sorry Luna, my brother shouldn't have acted like that.
Cassy: It's not your fault Zach
Zach: He's my brother...
Cassy: It's not you, but is it always going to be like this, Sam yelling at me for anything?
He sighed softly.
Zach: No, it won't be like this. When you hinted that you wanted to be trained, he panicked at the thought of losing you in a fight.
Cassy: But I don't want to fight if I don't have to...
He looked at me surprised and asked
Zach: So why would you want to be trained, my Luna?
I sighed softly.
Cassy: I can't stand feeling weak and defenseless anymore... even though I understand that I'm your mate and that there will always be someone near me, I want to know that I can defend myself. I need it for me, to heal from my fears...
Zach closed his eyes and ran a hand through his hair. I could feel that he was angry, and I started to want to move away. He opened his eyes and looked at me tenderly.
Zach: I'm not angry at you my Luna, but at my i***t brother. Your request is legitimate and if you want me, I will train you.
Cassy: Really
Zach: Yes Luna, I will also talk to my brothers so that they calm down with you. You don't need additional stress and Sam should have listened to you before. I hope he will have learned his lesson.
Cassy: Is it...
Zach: Yes Luna?
Cassy: Don't tell them my reason right away, okay? It's not a pleasant thing to feel helpless, especially in front of you three.
He gave me a small smile followed by a wink.
Zach: I don't think you should hide it, my Luna, but you don't have to be ashamed, because you are not weak, you have lived so much tragedy, but you survived, and I find you very brave, you know.
Cassy: Thank you, Zach,
Zach: Now, can my i***t brothers come in?
I sighed again, looking at him.
Cassy: We're going to have to...
Zach: What Luna?
Cassy: Well, I didn't like Sam yelling at me...
Zach: It's okay that you didn't like it and Sam shouldn't have, so the four of us are going to sit down, and we're going to set some rules so that you can feel comfortable with us okay.
