CHAPTER 10 –––––––– GOOD, EVERYTHING I had planned for during the last few days was taken care of in one way or another, so now I had only to write my weekly report for the mother company and then I could finally go home. I couldn’t wait for the weekend to begin. I was in a dire need of relaxation after such a long and grueling period full of tension. I’m not a very tough person, and in order to play that role I had to use a lot of strength. Now I was almost exhausted. I had very few reserves of energy left in my body. After a quarter of an hour, I finally finished the report and called Mireille to ask her to prepare some things for Monday morning but, of course, no one answered. It wasn’t uncommon, considering the fact that Mireille used to spend more time in other offices than hers.
