CORY POV
“Cory, I saw the marks on your neck.” Hannah says I can feel her hurt through the mate bond.
“I am so sorry Hannah, but please let’s just get through tonight and I promise I will explain.” I say.
“You will never fully belong to me.” Hannah says.
“I won’t loose you, I nearly lost you earlier on today, I won’t make the same mistake.” I say.
“I believe you.” Hannah says after a few moments of silence.
“I want to make it up to you for my mistakes.” I say.
“If my entire pack wasn’t here, I would make you and make you mine.” I say with a low growl.
“If I marked you, would you mark me?” I asked curious to what her answer would be.
“I don’t know if I could, won’t you always belong to her?” Hannah asked.
“I never belonged to anyone, and you will understand more tomorrow, but you have to trust me.” I say.
“I do.” I say.
“Josh, round up the pack.” I say.
“Yes Alpha.” Josh says.
A few minutes later, the pack is rounded up.
“Alpha Noah, has kindly invited all of you, to attend his Alpha Ceremony, now I know a lot of you left a lot of belongings behind, but please do try to look your best, after all you are representing The Midnight Black Pack.” I say.
“Dismissed.” I say as people scatter about.
“I have something I need to do, I will meet you in your room in a little bit.” I say.
“Okay babe.” Hannah says.
Hannah wonders off to see if she can help any of our pack members.
“Lily.” I call in my Alpha voice.
“Alpha Cory.” Lilyanna says kind of scared.
“You are no longer my Beta, you have been demoted to an omega.” I say.
“Cory!” Hannah says.
“Now isn’t the time for that.” Hannah says softly.
“To an omega really?” Lily says.
“You are still my friend but Lily a child lost his life because you couldn’t keep them safe, my new Beta will be Josh, following that my new Gamma will be Greyson, and third in command I officially promote Leo.” I say.
“Princess, let’s go.” I say as grab Hannah’s hand and we walk back to her pack house.
“Did you have to be so harsh on Lilyanna?” Hannah asked, “She is still your friend, don’t ruin that friendship because of something that was out of her control.” Hannah says.
I thought she would have been happy, but yet again, I should have seen it coming because she doesn’t hate anyone no matter what happened.
I follow Hannah to her room where I take a shower and put on my suit.
“Wow, you look hot as f**k, I like a man in a suit.” Hannah says as she pulls me by my toe closer to her.
Hannah kisses my lips softly.
“I want to rip it off.” Hannah says with a low growl.
“I am so sorry, I don’t know where that came from.” Hannah’s says I can see how embarrassed she is.
I grab Hannah a pin her to the wall, I can see the fear in her face, so I pick her up and kiss her again dropping her lightly on the bed.
“Let me taste you.” I say.
“Cory!” Hannah says shyly.
“You’re coming into your heat.” I say.
“Heat, already?” Hannah asked.
“Yeah, it usually starts twelve to twenty four hours after you meet your mate.” I say.
“Wow, I should have paid more attention in school.” Hannah says.
“I would love nothing more than to take you right now, but I can’t.” I say.
“Okay, I guess I was kind of nervous anyway.” I say.
“The music has started, may I have the first dance of the night?” I ask.
“As long as I can have the last dance with you too.” Hannah says, her beautiful smile beaming through.
“Can I ask you something?” I ask Hannah.
“Sure.” Hannah says.
“What does scrub up mean?” I asked.
“It means you dress well for events like this.” Hannah says.
I shake my head and laugh at her.
We all have a few drinks and the girls are dancing having fun.
“Here comes the full moon.” Hannah says so we all begin to head outside.
HANNAH POV
“As the full moon is about to fall upon us, I would like to officially take this opportunity to say, I am stepping down as the Alpha of the Golden Black Pack, and our new Alpha is ready to take his rightful place as our new Alpha.” My dad says.
I am so lost in thought of how hot Cory looks, I totally forget my place.
“Hannah.” My dad calls.
Oh f**k, I totally forgot about the speech, I guess I will have to wing this.
“So as most of you know that this incredible man is about to become your alpha, and even though he’s my brother and he maybe a little bit of a dope, I know deep down that he will be the one that fights and makes our pack proud, even if he can’t match his own socks.” I say.
A lot of the pack members laugh.
“Hannah!” My mom says. I giggle a little bit.
“Hannah, tell the packs.” Noah mind links me.
“Okay, so I have a message from the Alpha to be.”
“Noah would like me to inform you, that in the early hours of this morning The Midnight Black Pack was attacked and a lot of the members didn’t make it, they unfortunately lost a child, so please let’s make sure we show them just how welcoming we can be.” I say.
“Please protect each other, Alpha Noah and Alpha Cory have formed an alliance between the packs.”
“I have also decided to leave the Pack-house and learn to grow up although I hate it, but I have been asked to become Luna of the Midnight Black Pack, so I will be residing with Alpha Cory and my new pack.” I say.
“Princess Hannah, please don’t leave us.” A sweet little nine year old girl called Cindy called out,
I get down from the stage.
“Hey Cindy.” I say.
“Why do you have to leave us?” Cindy asked.
“Oh my sweet girl, you see there where the tree lines part, there is a little bridge that you can cross and you will see my new pack, I won’t be far from you and any time you need anything, I will be right there, okay.”
“Okay.” Cindy whispered.
I take Cindy’s hand and I walk back on stage.
“The full moon, is here, Noah it is time.”
The clock strikes midnight and Noah takes the silver knife and slices his hand and droplets of blood land upon the moon goddess stone and we see the moon turn blood red, a new alpha has arose and now must recite the packs pledge.
“To honor a new Alpha, droplets of the Alpha’s blood must be placed upon the moon goddess stone, I, Noah Miller, pledge to serve and protect those in my pack at all costs.” Noah says.
“May the moon goddess help me to protect those who enter my pack and bless my land.” Noah says.
