6. Will We Work?

HANNAH POV
“You are so stubborn!” My wolf says.
“No, I am not, I am just protecting myself.” I say.
“No, Hannah you are not, you are hurting those who love you most, take Noah for example, look at the what you said to him and he was only trying to protect you.” My wolf whimpers.
The worst thing about it is, I know, I am a complete b***h, but I can’t stop the way I feel, I hurt too much.
I feel an extreme amount of pain ripping throughout my body.
“Being rejected by an Alpha hurts.” I say to myself.
I put my block up and cry myself back to sleep.
A little while later a knock on the door woke me up.
“Princess Hannah, it is Jane, are you decent?” Jane our chef asked. “I have a Mr Bailey with me.” Jane continued.
“Yeah.” I say as I open the door hoping and praying that it is Cory but to my surprise it was Cory’s dad Mr Micheal Bailey, I should have known really.
“Hi, Jane I will be with you shortly, can I have pancakes for breakfast please.” I say.
“Of course Princess.” Jane says as she wonders off down the hallway and into the kitchen.
Jane and her daughters are Omegas, but Jane has taken good care of us since we were small children.
“Thank you.” I say.
“Mr Bailey, to what do I owe the pleasure?” I asked.
“Cory told me everything, from the way he spoke to you, how he treated you and how he went to hit you.” Mr Bailey says.
“It’s all true, but I think he has rejected me, so what can I do now?” I asked.
“Cory hasn’t rejected you princess, his heart is broken and his wolf is rejecting him, it can be deadly if his wolf fully rejects him.” Mr Bailey says.
“He will die, I can’t let him die, Mr Bailey please tell me what I can do to stop all this.” I say.
“Come on let’s have some breakfast and we will discuss this matter.” Mr Bailey says.
“Okay, I will just get ready quickly and I will meet you down there.” I say.
Mr Bailey walks off and I have a wash, brush my teeth and then I head downstairs to find Mr Bailey.
“Mr Bailey, thank you for inviting me to breakfast.” I say.
“Please tell me how I can help Cory.” I say.
“Hannah, your wolf is one of the rarest wolf forms in all of our history, you and your wolf can help Cory, you would just need to find your power.” Mr Bailey says.
“Mr Bailey with all due respect, I have no idea what you are talking about.” I say.
“Anna, listen when I say Cory changed just after his birthday, when he was involved with Lilyanna, but he would never tell me what happened, that’s when he became ruthless and I promised him, I would not tell you, he wants to tell you himself.”
“So why won’t he tell me? Why does he refuse to believe that I can help him? Why won’t he let me help him? Instead he raised his fist to me and missed my face by an inch.” I say.
“Anna, I really don’t know, but what I do know is that if you don’t help him we will loose him.” Mr Bailey says.
“If I knew how to help, I would, come on it’s not like you all don’t know how I feel about him and I made my feelings pretty clear.” I say.
Mr Bailey sighs.
“Hannah, I know how he feels about you, he told me last night.” Mr Bailey says.
“Omega, could I have some more of your delicious pancakes please.” Mr Bailey says.
“If you want me to help you, please respect that Jane and her daughters have names, please use them.” I say.
“My apologies, Jane, could I have some more of your delicious pancakes please.” Mr Bailey says.
“Sure, girls come and help me, Princess Hannah, after you have finished your food, if you would still like to help us, we will be starting shortly.” Jane says.
“Let me just sort this out, and I will be with you” I say.
Jane bows and leaves to make more pancakes with her daughters.
“Mr Bailey, I will help you, but I am not running around after him, if he wants help he will have to find me.” I say.
Jane comes back a little while later with more pancakes.
We finish eating in silence.
“Please don’t tell Cory we had this conversation.” Mr Bailey says as he buttons his blazer back up.
“Just tell Cory I was looking for him when he wakes please.” I say.
“Yes Hannah.” Mr Bailey says as he leaves.
“I am very sorry for the way Cory behaved, he behaved like a bad dog, and I am pretty sure my lovely wife will be having words with him.” Mr Bailey says.
“I appreciate it.” I say.
“He reminds me of a crackpot crazy man, talking about me like I am the goddess greatest possession.” I say to my wolf.
“Your spirit wolf will soon be ready.” My wolf says.
“Jane, I am ready now.” I call into the kitchen.
We spend hours and hours baking, laughing and making cakes and setting things up ready for the Alpha ceremony and mine and Noah’s birthdays.
“Princess.” Jane says.
“No formalities in the kitchen.” I say back.
“Hannah, Alpha Cory would like to speak with you.” Jane says.
“Excuse me ladies. I won’t be long.” I say.
“Alpha Cory, can I help you, I am rather busy right now.” I say.
“Don’t call me Alpha, please it hurts my feeling Princess.” Cory says.
“I’m sorry.” We both say at the same time.
We both laugh.
“Let me go first, I am so sorry, I over stepped my mark and shouldn’t have gone behind your back, please accept my apologies and take the land that I gave you.” I say.
“Princess, I am sorry, nothing you did was wrong, you were right, I do loose my head and all I was thinking about was revenge, and you certainly didn’t deserve the way that I treated you, I have a condition, if you want me to take the land.” Cory says.
“Name it and I’ll consider it.” I say.
“I want you to join me as my Luna.” Cory says.
“I will, but we are in this for the long run and you need to tell me what happened back in America.” I say.
“Later.” Cory whispers.
I smile and join Jane and her daughters back in the kitchen.
“Princesses don’t belong in the kitchen.” Cory mind links me.
“I’m not a princess when I am in here, I am free to do what I love.” I mind link back.
I finish Noah’s birthday cake off and I can’t wait to see his face.
“Ladies, will you be okay without me? I have a few things I need to sort out.” I say.
“Thank you for your help Hannah.” Jane says.
