Chapter 13

I got so damn tired after I finished all the chores. I should get some helper I badly need one kahit hindi yung stay-in kahit na yung maglilinis lang every day or every other day perhaps kasi I am sure that will be quite busy for the next days.

I texted Maureen telling her why she stopped by pero hindi pa naman sya sumasagot I decided to go out and get some air, luckily the place of this condo is much better than other places here in Makati.  Hindi pa ganoon ka congested yung street at saka medyo malayo sa mga public places na talagang puntahan ng tao it was like an escape here in the middle of the city.

Paglabas ko ng condo its already dark outside.

 I am just wearing casual attire I am planning to eat and then go to some bar susubukan ko lang na contactin si Maureen.

Pagdating ko sa Kaniku a Japanese restaurant mabilis akong umorder.

Pagupo ko sa table ay agad ko ng tinawagan si Maureen to ask if she have plans tonight.

After some rings she immediately picked up.

“Yes Psyche Estella?” she asked.

Na pa irap naman ako sa sinabi nya.

“Will you stop calling me that? Nakakainis ka.” Sagot ko naman sa kanya.

Natawa naman sya sa kabilang linya.

“Hahaha why? That’s your name! anyways to whom do I owe the pleasure of this call?” sagot nya sa akin.

I rolled my eyes again. Here she goes again and again!

“Stop that! Are you busy?” tanong ko sa kanya.

She paused for a minute.

“Nope but I am still in the office right now.” Sagot nya naman.

Nagtaka naman ako sa sinabi nya.

“Huh? You left a note on my door kaya akala ko nakauwi ka na.” sabi ko naman remembering about the note that I found on my door earlier.

“What note? That is definitely not me Psyche maghapon ako dito sa opisina napakadaming pinapagawa sakin ni Damon gusto ko na nga syang tadtadin ng buhay masyadong nagpapakinig sa Daddy ko.” Maureen frustratedly answered to me.

Then who left the note? Namali lang kaya yung naglagay? Oh well probably wala naman akong mga kakilala masyado dito sa manila.

She sounded really tired I should just go alone, probably just have some shots and then go home.

Feel ko lang talagang magbar ngayon I don’t know I wanna do things that I wasn’t able to do in Cebu, parang mas maffeel ko kasi yung freedom ko sag anon. My Dad also doesn’t like me doing modelling and he made me stop doing it because of my responsibility to the company so I really don’t have a choice back then.

“Ganon ba sige I’ll go alone may malapit naman sigurong bar dito.” Sabi ko sa kanya.

Bigla naman na hindi naka sagot kaagad si Mau.

Hindi nya pinatay yung call dahil naririnig ko pang naglalakad sya.

Saan naman kaya pupunta tong babaeng to? Napaka weird hindi naman sya nagpaalam sa akin kaya hindi ko na din pinatay yung tawag at baka may sasabihin pa usually kasi pagka tapos na kami magusap nagpapaalam naman sya so malamang may sasabihin pa tong babaeng to kaya hindi pa pinatay.

I heard her opening a door.

“ Damon,” tawag nya.

“Yes Maui?” tanong naman ng boses na kausap ni Maureen parang pamilyar sakin yung boses nya. She said Damon so probably its her cousin yung sinasabi nya pinagtatrainingan nya.

“Pwede na ba akong umalis?” tanong nya rito.

“Nope. Hindi ka pa tapos sa ginagawa mo hindi ba?” malamig na tonong sagot sa kanya ng [pinsan nya.

Ohh sound like my Dad ice cold.

“Yes but please hayaan mo na ako my friend needs me right now.” Sagot naman ni Maureen sa madramang paraan.

Huh? Yes I need some company but not to the point like she needs to beg just to join me loka loka talaga tong babaeng to.

“Who’s this friend? Your boyfriend?” tanong naman sa kanya ulit ng pinsan nya.

Natawa naman ako ng bahagya hahaha Maureen is an only child she’s like their family’s princess kaya everyone treasurers her so much.

“What?! No! kakahiwalay lang naming ni Caleb di ba? Ano tingin mo saken malandi?!” inis n ainis na sabi nya sa kausap nya.

Natawa naman ako talaga but wait? Caleb? Hmm.

“Then who is this friend?” tanong ulit nito.

“It’s a girl.” Tipid na sagot ni Maureen sa kanya.

“Is this friend your friend from Cebu?” tanong nito sa kanya.

“Yes! How did you know?” tanong naman ni Maureen sa lalaki.

“Tito told me you had a friend coming to Manila from Cebu.” Tipid na sagot nito kay Maureen.

“Oh what now can I go?” tanong ni Maureen sa kanya.

Ilang Segundo din ang lumipas bago sumagot ang lalaki.

“Okay pero saan kayo pupunta?” tanong naman ulit ng lalaki.

Hm?

Napaka Oc naman nitong pinsan na to? Pinsan ba talaga ni Maureen to?

“I don’t know, grabe ka baka pati yan ireport mo pa kay Dad!” naiinis naman na sagot sa kanya ni Maureen.

“I wont as long as you say kung saan kayo pupunta dahil ang alam ng Daddy mo nasa kompanya ka pa, I should know the place in case you get in to trouble again I know where to find your ass. You always get yourself in trouble do I don’t really have a choice and besides Caleb wont be there for you anymore so juct tell me.” Masungit na sabi nya kay Maureen.

Maureen just hissed at him.

“Okay I’ll ask her!” naiinis na sabi ni Maureen sa kanya.

“Psyche saan mo ba gustong magbar?” tanong ni Maureen sa akin.

Agad naman akong nagisip ng place kaya lang wala akong maisip since bagong dating palang ako dito kung sa Cyprus naman medyo malayo dito.

“I have no idea Maureen, probably the nearest to my place?” sagot ko naman sa kanya.

Maureen talked again to her cousin.

“She doesn’t know yet. Bagong dating nga lang yung tao. I’ll just text you the place kapag naka pili na sya okay? For now I’ll go ahead coz’ I still need to chose my clothes for tonight. Buh-bye!” she said to her cousin and I heard her footsteps.

“Psyche Estelle get you ass ready!!!! I am going home na! I’ll meet you at the lobby okay? Sa sasakyan mo nalang tayo sumakay I don’t feel like driving today.” She said to me

Natawa naman ako typical Maureen very lazy!

Kaya nga nya gustong maging isang modelo kasi sab inga niya sa akin noon ang puhunan lang daw nya ay ganda. Effortless naman daw ang beauty nya kaya hindi nya masyadong kailangang mag exert ng effort.

“Okay okay gagayak na din ako!” masayang sagot ko sa kanya.

“Okie bye, I’ll hup now mwaps!” she said and then hung up.

I quickly stood up and choose some clothes.
