Maureen just sadly looked at me and then nodded. Dumating na din sina Damon at Doc Cassandra.

Agad naman na nagbago ang timpla ni Maureen ng makita si Cassandra.

“Its nice to see you again Maui,” naka ngiti nitong sabi kay Maureen habang naka ngiti.

Isang mataas na kilay lang ang isinagot sa kanya ni Maureen na sya namang ikinagulat ko. Like what I said Maureen is probably the friendliest person I know, she’s always been so warm and nice to others. Kaya nagulat ako sa iniasta nito kay Doc Cassandra.

“Oh ah I guess I am not welcome anymore hehe. Ahm so Dame, I gotta go okay? It was nice catching up with you. Miss Trinidad? I hope you get well soon. It was nice meeting you.” Naka ngiti nitong sab isa akin bago nagpaalam at umalis.

Paglabas na paglabas ni Doc Cassandra ay kaagad na lumapit si Maureen kay Damon at galit na galilt na sinuntok ang braso nito.

“What have you done to my friend?! Ang sabi ko bantayan mo aat siguruhin na magiging safe sya what the hell is this Damon? Tapos dito mo poa sya dinala? Sa ospital na to talaga!? And who treated her? That b***h?! Ano ba Damon! Nagiisip ka ba?!” galit nag alit na sabi ni Maureen kay Damon.

My eyes almost dropped to the floor after hearing Maureen yelled atr Damon.

“Maureen calm down! I had to make sure na iaassist kaagad si Psyche sa ospital na pagdadalahan ko sa kanya kaya tumawag ako ahead of time kay Caleb. And no okay? Cassandra was not the one who treated her, I didn’t even let her touch her skin. Kanina she only listened to her heart kasi nung nagising si Psyche hindi sya nagsasalita so I was so concerned about it. I thought something might be wrong with her so I rushed outside to get someon check on her and that was when I saw Cas.” Mahabang paliwanag ni Damon kay Maureen.

Na pa hilot nalang ito sa ulo nya bago malungkot na napa tingin sa akin.

“Psyche how are you feeling?” maya maya ay baling nito sa akin at hindi na pinansin ang sinabi ni Damon.

“I ah I am hungry,” sagot ko kay Maureen just to ease the tension a bit.

I think that they have an issue with Doc Cassandra and I think that it is something that they shoul discuss privately.

“I bought her food.” Agad na iniabot ni Damon yung paper bag na may laman na pagkain kay Maureen.

Agad na kinuha ni Maureen ang pagkain kay Damon at iniayos ito sa harapan ko.

“Here you go, kain ng madami Psyche Estella ha bawas bawasan ang tigas ng ulo please.” Parang matanda na bilin sa akin ni Maureen.

At dahil talagangn gutom na ako ay agada ko nagsimula na kumain.

They were both quiet for awhile until Maureen suddenly talked again.

“Damon make your secretary process Psyche’s release papers. Lilipat kami ng ospital.” Diretsong sabi ni Maureen kay Damon.

I was about to answer but then Damon immediately shooked his head.

“No hindi aalis dito si Psyche hanggang sa makausap natin si Doc Melendez. We need to find out what caused her to faint.” Sagot naman ni Damon sa kanya.

Maureen stopped for a second but then also shooked her head.

“Hindi pwede dito si Psyche okay? Hindi sya safe around your crazy ex! Ni hindi ka nga type ng kaibigan ko baka mamaya madamay poa sya sa kabaliwan ng Cassandrang yon! For f***s sake! Get her out of here! Hindi ka na ba nadala? Look what she did to Ava! I will not let her do the same thing to my friend do you understand?!” galit na galilt na dabi ni Maureen kay Damon.

Sa totoo lang right now hindi ko na maintindihan yung galit ni Maureen, and why would she call Doc Cassandra crazy? And sino ba talaga si Ava?

“I will not let Cass lay a finger on her. Hindi na sya makakalapit ngayon sa kaibigan mo.” Damon frustratedly answered Maureen.

Nalilito akong na pa patingin nalang sa kanilang dalawa.

“If you really mean it then get her out of here as soon as uyou can.” Final naman na sagot ni Maureen sa kanya.

Damon just let out a deep sigh.

“Okay I’ll just call Caleb about the lab results. Can you walk Psyche?” tanong ni Damon at saka bumaling sa akin.

Na pa tingin din si Maureen sa akin at naghihintay ng sagot ko.

“Ofcourse I can, kaya lang siguro ako nagfaint ay dahil sa sobrang gutom.” Sagot ko kay Damon.

“Actually pwede nan ga tayo umalis ngayon sa condo nalang siguro ako kakain I feel like I will eat more kapag mas comfortable ako sa place. Can I go now? I can just transfer my payment. I’ll have my secretary do it.” Sabi ko kay Damon and then reached out for my bag.

He immediate stopped my hand.

“No the payment was never an issue, I wanted to make sure you are okay.” Sagot naman nya sa akin.

And yet again, over and over again he looked at my eyes with so much intensity.

I was lost for words for a second but I was able to get back when I heard Maureen.

“She said she’s okay and the primary reason why she’s here is that you almost starved her to death!” paninisi nanaman nito kay Damon.

The guy just raised his hand as a sign that he is already surrendering.

I just looked at him and shrugged.

Damon sit down and looked at me while eating.

Hindi ako mapakali sa presensya s=nya sa ttotoo lang.

Argh!

“Wala ka bang gagawin? You can go now andito naman na si Maureen she’ll take care of me.” Pagpapaalis ko kay Damon.

Na tawa naman ng bahagya si Maureen sa sinabi ko kay Damon.

“Hahahaha!” masayang sabi nito sa pinsan.

AGad naman na nagsalubong ang kilay ni Damon at masuingit na tumingin sa akin.

“I was the one who took you here so I will also be the one to atke you out.” masungit na sagot nya sa akin.

Maureen looked at his cousin with wiggling eyebrows and then looked at me.

“The board is expecting you at 3pm Damon,” pagpapaalis din nito sa kanya.

Maureen said it with a mighty smile. Oh no here she goes again.

“I had cancelled the meeting.” Simpleng sagot lang ni Damon sa kanya at saka nagpadekwatro ng upon a akala mob a komportablenng komportable ito sa kinauupuan nya.

Maureen almost laughed at his answer.

"Really?" interesadong sabi nito kay Damon at saka tininignan na para bang hindi sya kumbinsido sa sagot nito.

Akala ko sasagot pa si Damon kay Maureen but he didnt answered anymore, and instead he got his phone out of his wallet and called the guy named Caleb.

Lumabas pa si Damon ng room noong kausap nya yung Caleb, I think its the same guy last night.

Maureen looked at me and then wiggled her eyebrows at me.

"Bakit ka naka tingin sakin ng ganyan?" naka taas ang kilay na tanong ko sa kanya.

Maureen laughed a bit.

"Wala I just think Damon is acting weirdly, anyways he's such a peculiar guy. Paano ba yan edi hindi tayo makakapagwine date tonight?" malungkot na sabi nito sa akin.

Natawa naman ako sa kanya dahil up pa din pala yung wine night nya.

"Well pwede naman tayo magchill without alcohol, sa condo ka na matulog tonight I had the guest room prepared earlier today," sagot ko naman kay Maureen.

Maureen nodded happily.

"Yes! okie! pero how did you prepared it? eh diba may screening ka earlier this day? oo nga pala! Florence proudly said you got the project! Congratulations girl! I knew you'd get it!" masayang sabi nya sa akin.

Mabilis syang tumayo at niyakap ako.

"Thank you! kinabahan nga ako at kung sakali na hindi ko yon nakuha ay okay lang naman sa akin sana dahil mukhang malaking project ata yon. Akala ko nga ay may napili na sila bago pag yung screening," sabi ko naman sa kanya.

"I hired a helper, pero hindi sila.stay in they will just clean the room and do the laundry." dagdag ko pa at saka uminom ng tubig.

She nodded and then happily smiled.

"Nako sabi ko nga kay Florence ipupusta ko ang kamay ko at kamay nya ikaw ang makukuha roon. I am dead sure that they even realized na over qualified ka pa nga as a model you should really try pageantry Psyche," pangungulit nanaman nito.

Natawa nalang ako dahil ilan na silang nagsasabi noon sa akin pero gaya nga din ng lagi kong sinasabi ay hindi ko naman nakikita ang sarili ko na nasa itaas ng entablado at nakikipag kompitensya para sa isang korona.

"Nope, its really not for me but thank you. Oh by the way why were you so rude earlier, Doc Cassandra seems nice?" tanong ko sa kanya pertaining to what happened earlier.

Hindi kasi talaga ako sana na nakikita si Maureen na hostile or rude sa isang tao.

Bigla nanaman nagsalubong ang kilay nya with the mention of Dra. Cassandra's name.

" No, Psyche do not let your guard down when she's around okay? that girl is crazy! She's insane! She almost killed Ava dahil sa selos, I was so glad Damon decided to get rid of her!" galit na sabi nito sa akin.

Na pa isip naman ako bigla ng marinig ulit ang pangalang Ava,

"Who's Ava by the way?" tanong ko nanaman ulit sa kanya.

Na pa isip sya sandali at nagkibit balikat.

"I am not sure but I think she is Damon's girl although none of them were confirming nor denying it, it was so obvious. Pero it is actually Cassandra's fault why Damon got rid of her cause she is totally insane!" naiinis na kuwento nya.

Hmm Ava, yeah I knew it he is such a pain in the ass. Ang daming babae sa buhay I wonder if this Ava was the same girl he was with at Heiran Hotel?
