Our bus stops just outside our group home. The girls and I get off, and we make our way to the group home. The girls are excited, and I’m also excited, but for a whole different reason. I still can’t believe that Malik asked me to be his girlfriend. I know he asked me to be his girlfriend instead of his mate because he thinks I’m human. I want to tell him, but I don’t think it’s the right time yet. I don’t know how he will react when he finds out that I’m half demon, half angel.

‘He will accept us’ Sin said.

‘He will, but everything has to be done in its own time. Destiny will know when to tell him’, Raziel said.

‘There’s no rush. Take your time’, Sin said.

‘Thanks girls’ I said as I walked into the house.

“Destiny” Mr. James called.

“Yes sir?” I asked, and he gestured for me to go to him. I’m hoping that he didn’t hear about what happened today at school.

“Yes sir?” I asked.

“I need you to pack for the weekend. There’s a family interested in taking you on a pass” Mr. James smiled.

“Really?” I asked. Not many people would want to take a child at the last minute, but I was excited that someone actually did.

“Yes, I got the call this morning. They will be here to pick you up at six” Mr. James smiled.

“Go ahead and get packed up and if you have homework finish it before you leave” Mr. James said. I looked back at the girls to see them smiling wide. I went to them and they squealed in excitement. We all went to our rooms and I began to pack. I then got in the shower. I washed my hair, washed my body, shaved, and washed my body again. I wore a light blue and black sundress with black wedges. I blow dried my hair before braiding it to the side.

“Damn girl, if Malik got to see you right now he would be drooling over you” Naomi said making me laugh. I turned to look at her. She was wearing jeans, black high heel ankle boots, and a black spaghetti strap shirt.

“Could you do a Dutch braid?” she asked and I gestured for her to sit. I did began to do her hair.

“We’re excited for you. I wonder who the family is?” she asked.

“I have no idea, but I guess we’ll find out” I said.

“Oh, no. You’re going to have to tell us because our families will pick us up before yours come” she said.

“Oh, then that’s fine, but I want to hear all about it when you guys come back” I said.

“Ditto” she said. I finished her hair, and we all went to the kitchen to get a snack.

“Destiny, you have a call” Mr. James said. I grabbed the phone and went to the room where we take our calls. I plugged it in on the wall.

“I’m on three” I shouted. Just then the phone rang and I answered it.

“Hello?” I said.

“Hey beautiful. What you doing?” Malik asked from the other side.

“Oh, hey handsome. I was just going to get a snack. When I got here Mr. James informed me that there is a family that would like to take me for a pass” I said.

“Really?” he asked.

“Yes” I smiled.

“Are you excited?" he asked.

“You have no idea. I thought I was going to be here the whole weekend, but I’m not. The only thing is that I wished I had a cell phone, so I could call you when I’m in pass, but I can always use their house phone”, I said.

“Sounds good. So do you have anything you would like to do in your pass?” he asked.

“Not really, it’s usually what the family wants. We never get asked what we want to do. We just go along” I said truthfully.

“Well, I’m sure this one will be different” he said.

“Yeah, I hope so” I said.

“Okay beautiful, well I’ll let you finish what you were doing, and I’ll call you later. What time do you leave?” he asked.

“The family is supposed to be here at six” I said.

“Okay, I’ll call you before that” he said.

“Okay, bye handsome” I said.

“Bye beautiful” he said and I hung up the phone. I returned the phone to Mr. James and grabbed a muffin and a Gatorade. I sat with the girl in the living room as Layla looks for something for us to watch. She puts on ‘Supernatural’. We just watched it while Layla and Naomi once in a while said how hot Dean is. Time passed and their families came to pick them up. It was fifteen minutes before six when the phone rang and I knew it was my mate. I looked at Mr. James and he handed me a phone. I went to the room and plugged it in.

“Three” I called out. The phone rang and I picked up the one second ring.

“Hello?” I answered.

“Hi beautiful” Malik said.

“Hi handsome” I said.

“Are you ready?” Malik asked.

“I am” I said truthfully.

“That’s good. I hope you have fun in your pass” he said.

“I’ll call you when I get there”, I told him.

“Sounds good, beautiful. Have fun” he said.

“Okay handsome. Bye” I said.

“Bye” he said and I hung up. Just then I heard a knock on the door. I returned the phone as Mr. James went to go open the door. I walked to my room to grab my duffle bag. I walked back to the living room to see a beautiful woman and a man that looked like Malik, but older. I discretely took a deep breath and I realized they were werewolves. Why would werewolves come to a human group home?

“Destiny, this is Mr. and Mrs. Black. Mr. and Mrs. Black this is Destiny, the young lady you’ll be taking on the pass” Mr. James said.

“It’s very nice to meet you both Mr. and Mrs. Black” I said.

“Oh honey, it’s very nice to meet you, but you can call me Lidia” the beautiful woman smiled and as I look at her closer I see she looks like Janel.

“And you can call me Bryan” the male smiled as well and I nodded.

“Well, Destiny, have fun and I’ll see you Monday evening” Mr. James said.

“Have fun on your days off, Mr. James” I said.

“May I help with your bag?” Bryan asked, already reaching for the bag.

“Thank you”, I smiled as he grabbed my bag. Bryan opened the door for his wife and then for me.

“Thank you” I smiled, getting into the Land Rover.

“Have you had dinner yet, sweetheart?” Lidia asked.

“No ma’am” I said.

“Okay, well, we’re not far from our destination, and then you can have dinner” Lidia said.

“So, Destiny, you’re a senior at Crescent High School, right?” Bryan asked.

“Yes sir” I replied.

“How are your grades?” he asked.

“Very good sir. I have a four point six great point average and more than half of my classes are AP classes”, I said.

“Nice. So have you thought about what you want to do after you graduate?” Bryan asked.

“Well, I’m still thinking about it. I still have until graduation” I said.

“Is there anything specific that you like?” Lidia asked.

“I like cooking, but it’s not my… calling. I feel like I am meant to be something more”, I admitted.

“Oh that’s good. I love to cook too”, Lidia smiled.

“Nice, maybe we can trade a few recipes” I said.

“I would love that” Lidia smiled.

'Lidia and Bryan are nice. I can feel it', Raziel said.

'Me too,' Sin agreed. I couldn't help but smile as I looked out the window.
