the rescue

After a good talk between the three brothers, they slowly made their way back towards the packhouse of the Denali pack, where Mason’s wounded mate was, the one who needed to be cured from a forced bite of another male wolf. The story seemed straight out of a horror movie, especially when the young she-wolf’s body was denying the claim that was laid upon her, making her weak, sick and on the verge of dying. Milo immediately wanted to help his brothers and had agreed to see his brother’s mate, Charlotte. As they were walking back, still having small talk as a bond was forming between them, Seb’s body froze, before he started to run like a madman. “Seb, what the hell?” Mason had yelled at him, before he and Milo ran after their brother, making their way towards the pack house. As the three brothers made their way inside the packhouse, they immediately ran upstairs, inside the small condo of Mason, where several people had already come together. All of their faces filled with sadness and pain, as a pack doctor walked out of the bedroom, his face looking at Mason. “Her fever has picked up again, her body is drained and very tired. I’m sorry, there’s nothing I can do anymore for her. I think it’s time for everyone to say their goodbye to her before she goes into shock.” Making Mason turn into a wild man, as he launched himself onto the pack doctor, holding him by his throat as he smashed his body against the nearest wall, a primal growl coming out of his throat as the doctor had given him this news about his mate. It took the full body weight of the Alpha and Seb to be able to get his body away from the older man, who had tried to heal Charlotte in the first place, but had failed. The young wizard’s curiosity spiked as he slowly entered the room, seeing his brother’s mate for the first time, the girl that needed to be saved in order to keep his brother happy and alive. She also had long brown hair, like the young wizard’s girl from his dreams, but this was not her, this was the mate of his brother Mason. Seb met Milo inside the room, standing next to his sister’s bed as the young wizard looked down at her sick body and pale skin. “I think she is cursed,” Milo stated, matter-of-factly. The young wizard placed his hand on the young she wolf’s chest, as he closed his eyes and focused on the young she wolf, who was lying inside this bed, nearly dead. Feeling the girl's pain and feelings as if they were his own. “We need to get this mark off of her, she is trying too hard to reject the claim. I think that the one who did this to her is close, very close. Ready to test and see how far our powers really go?” A flash of hope burned inside Seb’s eyes as he ran inside the room quickly, as he brought back Mason with him a few seconds later, taking their place as each man stood on one side of the bed, one left, one right, and one at the young woman’s feet. All eyes pointed at her. “ OK, let’s do this.” The young wizard nodded, curiosity spiking once again and telling his brothers to not let another moment go to waste, as he placed his hand over the young woman’s body. And soon after, a flash of white light slowly appeared from his hand as the wizard focussed on the woman lying in the bed. The other two hybrids followed after him, and soon, their powers combined, flowed into one, as they opened their eyes, their pupils gone and leaving nothing but white, as power washed over them, filling them completely. Blinding everyone inside the pack house, as everything was covered in the whitest of light, their power filling every fiber present inside the room before everything went completely silent. Once the three men opened their eyes again, they felt exhausted. It was the first time they had used magic as the prophecy of three, and it had drained them more than they had thought. But the three men smiled, as they looked at the young woman, sitting straight up in the bed, her arms stretched out towards her mate, their brother Mason, who couldn’t contain himself as he crawled over the bed, pulling his mate into his arms as he wept with joy. The young woman’s eyes scanned over at Milo, wonder in her eyes about the man she had never seen before today. “Milo, nice to meet you, mate of Mason.” The young wizard introduced himself. And the young wizard was happy, seeing that he was able to do what he had wanted to do, help his brother, as his mate was now free of any marks on her neck or sickness within her body. Everyone left Mason’s condo, leaving him and his mate for some well-deserved alone time. As Milo took the time and liberty to look around the pack house, it was beautiful, cozy and screamed of ‘family’ in every corner you looked at. It was like nothing he had ever seen before in his entire life, and he learned that he loved this place. But it did not take too long before Milo sensed something else, something that was coming towards these grounds, and he already rolled his eyes, feeling that it would be nothing but trouble. Telling the Alpha about him sensing something was coming closer to their lands, the Alpha nodded, claiming his guards had just mind linked him and that indeed, strangers had presented themselves at the borders again, and as Milo looked at the Alpha’s face, he already knew that this visit would not end well at all. So he offered his services to the Alpha, making sure that his pack would stay out of harms way today. The Alpha agreed, as they all made their way to the pack borders, once they were accompanied by Mason. Leaving the pack house as a complete pack, filled with strong wolves, and the prophecy of three. Milo had covered his face with his cape, lesson number one inside the Blue Moon Coven, never let your enemy know who you really are. When they know you, they know your weakness and, by that, they know how to defeat you. As the young wolves made their way towards the pack borders, Milo felt sort of complete, although he did feel like something was still missing in his heart, the girl from his dreams, she needed to be here, right next to him, his head turning as he stared at nothing but air at his side. As the Denali pack made their way towards the borders, they were greeted by another angry Alpha, claiming that he wanted Charlotte back, Mason’s mate. Words were tossed, threats were made, all sounding stupid to the young wizard. He wanted to get things over with already, it wasn’t until he sensed something else entirely that he took off his cape, to look in front of him, to see what was happening. An emotion never came to his face, although on the inside, he was surprised, seeing none other than Brianna, standing next to the angry Alpha on the other side of the borders. Brianna looked shocked as she placed one hand in front of her mouth as she looked at Milo, who was standing on the enemy’s side of the upcoming fight. Brianna knew all too well that her own magical powers could never take out Milo in a million years. “Milo! What the hell are you doing here?” Was all that she could ask, probably wondering why Milo wasn’t inside the coven anymore. But Brianna, being a true witch by heart, did the smartest thing that she could do for herself, and as her eyes told Milo one last goodbye, she turned around and ran away as fast as she could, saving her own life, and running out of the young wizard’s life, forever.
